Number 5 - A zoologist was visiting the US from Japan to study marine life. During his trip, he found time to comment on American culture and found certain things surprising. He said - 'It seems funny to me to see American women trying to be just like men along all lines. They want to vote because men vote. They want to become lawyers there are men lawyers. They want to become judges simply
because there are men judges.'

Number 4 - The Catholic population was booming and the US had among the highest number of Catholics anywhere in the world.
However, Italy still had 30.5 million Catholics, more than any other country.

Number 3 - It was the early days for telephones. An ad presented a telephone as an alternative to taking a train so you can talk to someone without traveled. A telephone is like the talk train and 'why should you exert yourself and waste valuable time in traveling, when the 'talk trains' will take your voice, your ideas, your personality, anywhere, almost instantly, and in nearly every case with as satisfactory results?'

Number 2 - New York City was about to undergo a spring cleaning campaign. And the health commissioner was asking for some
additional funds. The amount was a whopping $28,473.

Number 1 - A polite burglar paid a visit to a Brooklyn home. He came dressed as a workman and the gullible residents quickly let him in. He smoothly cleaned everything up by closing doors to a part of the house by saying - 'I think if I close these doors you ladies will not be annoyed by any noise I make make in looking around here.'
