LE CYGNE NOIR , a Film directed by Danny Miller and Sandra Benbaruk .
LE GYGNE NOIR pays homage to the drama and progressiveness of 20th century Russian Ballet. A somber theme which challenges the death and destruction in the news with a reminder that there is beauty to be found. A sea of Black interrupted by the Beauty of Snow. A surreal lighting mastered by Monsieur Miller in a quivering cloud of black feathers. Snow is pure like a lotus flower—symbol of grace and rebirth, respectively—in equal measure and in addition to not so-virginal Ballerina .Each outfit created a character so individual that the clothes truly held their own melancholy and romance against the majestic backdrop.
Snow moves gently and silently like an elegant swan dropped from heaven, teaching us in our own process of educating others and educating ourselves, that we need gentleness. - Sandra Benbaruk
