Art Camp for Women is a weeklong art education program. It consists of art lessons in mixed media, fiber arts, art journaling and embellishments taught by great art teachers. Located in the Colorado Rockies, it includes lodging, meals, and all art supplies and tools. Watch the video and register. Art Camp for Women is taught by Lorri Flint and Lori Wostl (http://www.keepanartjournal.com), who specialize in fiber and textile arts, mixed media, art journaling and coaching. They are supported by a chef and staff. This year they are joined by two famous art teachers - Beryl Taylor (http://www.beryltaylor.com), and Kelli Nina Perkins (http://ephemeralalchemy.blogspot.com) Lorri Flint is a textile artist, who works with fabric, dye, thread and embellishments to create one of a kind art quilts. Lori Wostl is coach and mentor, a writer and a self-taught artist who enjoys mixed media - art journaling, collaging, jewelry making and altered art. You can see Lori’s art on her blog http://www.keepanartjournal.com. Beryl Taylor is a well known art teacher who “imaginatively manipulates, dyes, paints, stamps, embroiders and decorates her papers and fabrics to produce enriching textured effects and vibrant colors.…”. Kelli Nina Perkins, also a great art teacher, is a mixed media artist who creates art that "prizes the everyday ephemera of our lives, incorporating the common flotsam of discarded life into art that speaks to the heart." She's taught soapmaking, pysanky, altered books, paper bead making and a variety of mixed media on a local and national level, with virtual studios at the International Quilt Show and a DVD for Quilting Arts Workshops titled "Stitch Imagery."
