This is a slideshow showing contrast between labor of the 1930's and modern labor. This was done in response to a debate pertaining to the Charlie Chaplin film "Modern Times". In the film, humans were depicted as "slaves to the machine" and were portrayed as becoming more "mechanized". In a sense, the film has become less relevant in that the issues emphasized in the film have become less relevant as technological innovations such as integrative circuits and artificial intelligence are used to automatically perform processes that have been proven to be tedious and psychologically detrimental to humans. Enjoy the little bit I put together and also read my blog if you're in my class.
