Hey guys, it's Giselle and today I'm going to walk you through my skincare and beauty tips.
00:05
I had makeup done last night, so I need to cleanse my skin with this.
00:10
These clips are Doraemon clips. I always get these when I go to Japan.
00:16
I put about this much.
00:26
This also I got recently. It's like the simple stuff that works best for me.
00:29
So like I don't like use like too much, not much.
00:33
Two weeks ago, I realized I've been using like essence ampules like before putting on cream and I never knew what goes first.
00:41
But I think what works better for my face is putting cream first.
00:44
I got this from my trainer.
00:48
Thank you. It's some kind of repair oil. It smells good.
00:51
What do you think is my trainer?
00:55
With my trainer, besides working out, she's like my therapist as well.
00:59
We talk a lot about life and all that and I think like mental health is like very important.
01:06
But I think kind of just being in touch with yourself and taking time, you know, before going to sleep.
01:10
Like actually thinking and reflecting, you kind of forget about it, like you're just tired so you just go to sleep.
01:16
But like if you really, I guess you can say meditate.
01:18
That helps a lot.
01:20
I got this in LA.
01:22
They had like a collab with Baskin Robbins and it's cool because it's three colors.
01:26
Before I go to bed, where it's like I don't really care, then I use like the white part.
01:30
If I want a little pink, then I use the pink part.
01:32
I never grew up like wearing sunscreen.
01:36
I regret that a lot.
01:38
If I were to give anyone advice, I would say wear sunscreen.
01:42
I try to use whatever base I have that has like SPF in it.
01:45
So this is what I use.
01:46
The Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer.
01:49
This routine is pretty much the same since like 2016.
01:52
I still remember all the trendy products back then.
01:57
So what I'm going to show you today is kind of just more of a no makeup makeup look.
02:02
When we do makeup, there's definitely a lot of different styles that we try.
02:12
But I think for myself, I try to match with the group because what makeup fits me is actually
02:18
like a lot less makeup.
02:20
I feel like with too much makeup, I kind of look kind of cakey.
02:23
That's the word.
02:24
I don't want to be like the only one that's like has like no makeup on next to everyone
02:28
who has a lot of makeup on.
02:29
We all have like a signature thing.
02:31
Karina, she does eyeliner a lot thicker on the inner corners.
02:35
Winter is also the same with the eyeliner on the inner corners.
02:39
And she puts a lot of blush.
02:41
I think she puts like most blush out of all of us.
02:44
Ningning always looks good when she has kind of like smoky and like bronzer and highlighter.
02:48
Like that kind of Betty look.
02:50
Yeah, she looks good with that.
02:51
I have a long face.
02:54
I need to like kind of give some impact here, kind of even it out.
02:59
So right now, I'm filling my eyebrows in with Kosas.
03:04
In high school, those are the days where that was like the 2016 makeup.
03:08
Where it was like hard brows.
03:11
Like I would use the Anastasia like pot.
03:14
I used to do those like really thick, thick brows.
03:17
I wanted to pull up to school like looking kind of cute.
03:20
So I watched like a lot of YouTube videos, just like normal teenager stuff.
03:25
And Sephora was like, oh my God, there's a Sephora here type of thing.
03:30
So I would go there and just like try to get whatever and copy the makeup looks.
03:34
And that's kind of where like the interest started.
03:36
I was born in Korea and then I moved straight to Japan.
03:39
And I've been living in Tokyo for like my whole life until 2019.
03:46
And then I think I was like middle school.
03:49
That was like when I started to want to wear makeup and do my hair and all that.
03:57
I feel like Japanese and Korean makeup is kind of similar.
04:01
And like the trends, they kind of go hand in hand.
04:04
Japanese people go for a little bit more of like a cutesy look.
04:08
Or it's like a completely like strong heavy makeup.
04:11
Like long nails, big eyelashes, you know, a little bit of smoky stuff going on.
04:17
Or in Korea, it's either the same like trend or less cute and just a little more like beauty.
04:24
But before I get into eye makeup, I'm going to choose my lens.
04:31
We wear contact lenses.
04:33
I really, really, really like the way I look changes a lot with like which lens I wear.
04:40
The ones that I usually wear are just like black.
04:42
I'll just try something that I haven't tried before.
04:45
This one's kind of bright.
04:46
This is brown, but it's bright.
04:49
I look scary.
04:51
There's that for you.
04:52
I didn't need to show you that.
04:53
But just to let you know how much a contact can change the way you look.
04:58
I'll show you how different a black one, like the ones that like I wear most of the time.
05:04
Two different lenses.
05:06
This one, I look scary.
05:09
Look alive.
05:11
This is the first time anyone has ever, ever seen me put contacts in.
05:17
I have this.
05:21
Eyeliner for me is a gamble.
05:23
There's days where I'm like, that's good.
05:25
And there's days where it's like, I'm like erasing it like three times.
05:32
Like I don't sing like vocal, so I do put on music.
05:36
I've been listening to some random like underground stuff like hip hop, hyper pop.
05:42
That or just like completely different like Sade, Erykah Badu.
05:46
Me being a fan of somebody for the first time was definitely Angelina Jolie.
05:53
I had this weird like obsession with like tough women fighting and stuff.
06:01
Like Tomb Raider was like, that was a big inspiration for me.
06:04
And then for some reason something changed and I got into High School Musical and like all those Disney shows.
06:11
I started out very emo, which is like weird.
06:13
Oh yeah, Abby Levine was my first musical artist that I was really like into.
06:17
I remember getting in trouble for like singing her lyrics at home.
06:20
Then I turned into something completely different and I was like a huge fan of like Ariana Grande.
06:25
And High School Musical, like I wanted to marry Zac Efron.
06:29
The most important thing for me with makeup is like no matter what look you do, like what color, whatever,
06:34
it has to be symmetrical. If like the brows ones like an eyeliner that's like this, like I can't.
06:41
Even when I don't do eyeliner or much makeup, like you know like actual no makeup makeup,
06:47
or it's just like I just do eyebrows and like lip gloss, I curl my lashes.
06:52
I used to buy all the mascaras that was like in during the time,
06:59
but I never really understood like what was good and what wasn't.
07:03
I just right now what I choose is like the smallest one that I can carry.
07:10
This is Ether Anne Concealer.
07:12
How do you feel like a rapper?
07:19
In aespa, I am, am I? I am the main rapper.
07:26
When I was going to like Korea to do like K-pop, I already was like,
07:31
okay, I'm going to be the main rapper kind of.
07:34
First of all, I had no experience in dance and I do love singing,
07:37
but I just was more resonating towards rap.
07:41
When I got into SM, they gave us next level, like the demo for next level.
07:44
And they're like, okay, whoever can rap this the best, like you're going to debut.
07:49
All the trainees were like, oh my God, like how are we going to do this?
07:51
Blah, blah, blah.
07:51
And obviously I was one of them and it was like a good, um, turning point,
07:56
I guess in my trainee days.
07:58
This blush, either, either end.
08:01
This one is good because it's cream.
08:02
I use this for concealing scars because I have like a scar on my leg as well and
08:14
a scar on my face, obviously.
08:15
Any other concealer, they're all good.
08:17
But this one, it just has like a different, um, texture to it.
08:22
I don't know, I got it off of like Korean Amazon.
08:25
Coupang is like the name.
08:29
Blush again on top of that.
08:34
Okay, whatever.
08:35
I tried.
08:35
Now it's time for powder, Laura Mercier translucent powder.
08:40
I usually use this brush for powder, but I've been like into like this powder these days.
08:47
Bronzer.
09:00
This is a little more contour.
09:05
My hair has gone through a lot.
09:07
So obviously this is not my real hair.
09:09
My hair is like this short.
09:10
There's me, like me wanting to do this.
09:12
And then there's like idol me, you know, where it's like, I,
09:16
I'm an idol as well.
09:17
And like my fans also want to see like more different types of hair.
09:20
I did pink.
09:21
Everyone really liked it.
09:22
It was a good decision.
09:23
I do miss the pink.
09:24
Pink, I would recommend if you're going to dye your hair like a color, like blue, purple,
09:29
whatever it's, I would recommend pink because you don't get sick of it.
09:32
I don't know about blue though.
09:33
I've never tried it, but that is one color that I really do want to try.
09:38
I use this every day.
09:39
It's like almost gone.
09:42
Maybe like this might be better.
09:45
It's just a brush.
09:50
So that it doesn't look clumpy.
09:53
And to top that off, I will use this Venti Treats Hydrating Lip Oil.
10:03
This is my makeup for my day off.
10:06
I don't know.
10:07
Annyeong.
10:08
Bye.
10:09
Bye.
10:09
Bye.
