Scott Pilgrim star Michael Cera says he "thinks" and "hopes" there will be an Arrested Development film.
There has been speculation about a big screen adaptation since the cult US sitcom was taken off the air in 2006.
Internet reports suggest the film is set for 2012, and the series creator Mitchell Hurwitz has been quoted as saying the script is "half done".
Despite its cancellation, Arrested Development has developed a devoted fanbase and cult following.
The series is set in Orange County, and is based around the wealthy Bluth family. It stars Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi and Will Arnett.
