Inter Milan have claimed their sixth Coppa Italia after securing a narrow 1-0 victory over AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Argentine striker Diego Milito scored the only goal of the match in the 40th minute, after carrying the ball past three defenders before hitting a powerful shot to seal a stunning solo effort.

The game was also notable for the late red card dismissal of talismanic Roma captain Francesco Totti for a reckless kick at Inter striker Mario Balotelli.

The game could be the first step in a memorable treble for Jose Mourinho's men - who could secure the Serie A title and are set to play Bayern Munich in the Champions League final later this month.

However the cup victory could have come at a price, with Inter playmaker Wesley Sneijder and defender Ivan Cordoba both injured during the game.
