00:00Inflation up 10% to 3.3% in March. Who's to blame?
00:06Donald Trump and those people who have cheered him on, like Nigel Farage and Kimi Badenoch.
00:11I think it is appalling that the leader of the Conservatives and leader of reform were cheering on Donald Trump.
00:17They wanted us to jump into this war along with Donald Trump.
00:21And it's this Trumpflation that is causing pain in people's pockets and pain at the fuel pump as well.
00:27What do you want the government to do about it?
00:31Well, one of the unfortunate side effects of all of this is that as fuel prices increase, so have taxes
00:37on those fuel prices.
00:39And that means that the government is getting a windfall.
00:41So we're saying to the government, don't just pocket that. Use it.
00:44Use that money to help families, to help businesses and take up our package, which would slash fuel duty by
00:5012p a litre.
00:51It would slash train fares by 10%. It would slash bus fares by capping them at £1 rather than £3.
00:57And also would slash VAT for charging of electric vehicles as well.
01:01The combined package of these measures would support families and businesses who are going about their everyday lives,
01:07who rely on public transport and their own cars to get to carrying responsibilities and to work as well.
