Once every year the Spanish city of Jerez snaps awake to the clack of castanets and the rhythmic stomping and tapping of heels - the city's flamenco festival celebrates the birthplace of this compelling art form and features many colorful shows with top dancers and musicians. Deutsche Welle joined dancer and choreographer Christina Hoyos, whose dance company opened the event.
