00:00You were so mesmerized by me.
00:01I know, I was like...
00:02I have been a fashion publicist for about 20 years.
00:05I am now pivoting to build a fashion platform called Oosh,
00:10connecting fashion creatives from Middle East and the South Asia.
00:14I'm Raoul of Luar.
00:16Luar is a brand that is for people who feel confident enough
00:20to feel comfortable in their own skin.
00:22How did you two get connected?
00:24Oosh partnered with the CFDA.
00:26With that partnership, we select two designers,
00:28one that's from Southeast Asia or South Asia and the Middle East
00:32and one that is from the U.S.
00:35and Raoul and Luar as our first designer on the program.
00:39And so what attracted you about joining this?
00:41And I think we were both kind of aligned on what I want to say
00:44and want to do in India and what she's doing
00:47and what she's trying to platform markets that are not talked about
00:51and culturally, I'm very obsessed with Indian culture.
00:56You could be Indian. You look Indian.
00:58In school, they're like, wait, I'm like, no, I'm Dominican.
01:02But you could pass.
01:02But I am.
01:03You could pass.
01:04Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:04Okay.
