00:06Macau prides itself very much on food. I would say that for visitors coming to Macau,
00:12a quarter of what they spend actually goes to the food that they eat. Well,
00:162027, a very special year. That will be the 10th anniversary of our designation as a UNESCO
00:21Creative City of Gastronomy. So definitely a lot of food events happening next year.
00:26There is also the street food level, a lot of other restaurants to offer. So definitely coming up
00:31into 2027, that will be a big celebration of food. And we're working with UNESCO as well as the Food
00:38and Agriculture Organization of the UN on a research about how cities benefit from the UNESCO designation
00:45as a city of gastronomy. And we hope to share that with the world as well.
00:55We are now trying to make the community areas easily accessible by offering free buses,
01:01either from the resorts or from the more crowded or the, or I would say the more central tourism areas
01:08to bring our visitors to a more quiet atmosphere into our community areas. Obviously the community
01:14also offers a lot of interesting food to eat, as well as other things to explore.
01:24The government is plowing very, very much into the community areas, helping the SMEs as well as
01:30helping the smaller businesses in town. What we're doing is on one side, we're trying to help the small
01:36businesses promote themselves better, utilizing social media. On the other side, you know, there is
01:41another government department working hand in hand with us, offering subsidies to help them upgrade
01:45their facilities as well. Then, obviously, we are also looking at, you know, different festivities to
01:50bring into the community areas to make them, you know, more festive and also make them able to appeal
01:56to a broad, a broader group of visitors.
