00:00Do you plan on eventually being a player in free agency,
00:02or do you view this as a team that won't have to spend a ton on players to win?
00:07Yeah.
00:08No, I think if you asked anyone in my position across the league,
00:12I don't think it's a mystery.
00:13The more money you spend in free agency, the better off you're going to be.
00:17But I also don't want to fall victim to the fact that that's the only way to be good.
00:22Yeah, you referenced Milwaukee and Tampa Bay in the World Series this year.
00:28But they've done an awesome job from a development standpoint.
00:32They've made some great trades.
00:33They've got a bunch of young, talented players.
00:37And so essentially how we want to think about it is like, man,
00:40we want to do all those things well.
00:41And my hope is that with the staff we're assembling, we're going to do so in time.
00:47And when that happens, hopefully, like I keep saying, we can be good consistently.
00:52And kids, you know, growing up here, fans of the Nats,
00:56like they're going to be making a ton of memories,
00:59hopefully going to playoff games year after year after year.
