00:00Multiplayer nostalgia is a sure fire winner. People like WoW forever, they're reliving
00:05the 90s in EverQuest Legends and of course old school runescape is immortal. But it hasn't
00:12quite worked for League of Legends. The game's classic iteration was Riot's attempt to capitalise
00:18on nostalgia for the vintage era of the game. It kicked players back to 2013 with an old version
00:24of Summoner's Rift and stripped back champions and kits. And it didn't stick. A lot of players
00:31have fun revisiting the olden days with classic, said Riot. At this point though most have gone
00:37back to other parts of League. It'll shut down in January. We'll then put classic back in the box
00:44for now with the goal of bringing it back, likely as an event mode with adjustments and additions.
00:50I guess the good old days aren't for everyone. Check out the full story on pcgamer.com
