00:00So who did you vote for mayor today and why?
00:02I voted for Karen Bass.
00:05It was a difficult decision.
00:07And given that I partially blame her for the fires,
00:11I never saw myself voting for her.
00:14But the alternative was something worse.
00:17I voted for Karen Bass.
00:19I don't want any sudden moves in the state,
00:22meaning like, you know, we already have extreme situations one way or the other.
00:27So I just want a little bit more calm, a little bit more methodical moving forward
00:31rather than extreme moves.
00:35They did vote for the current mayor, Karen Bass, at this delicate time,
00:40particularly for me as a Palisades fire victim,
00:43and also in the face of other big things happening, including the upcoming Olympics.
00:47It doesn't feel like the right time to change that.
00:52Our house burned down. We lost everything.
00:56But I think that the city could have been better prepared.
01:00However, I blame the governor and the state's policies more than I blame the mayor.
01:07I do believe she's learned her lesson.
01:09And she's been giving us some grace and perhaps guilt.
01:13But whatever it is, she's shown up for us.
