Republican Congressman Mike Collins delivers a fiery concession speech after losing the 2026 Georgia U.S. Senate race to incumbent Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff. Speaking to supporters in Atlanta on election night, Collins thanked his supporters and praised President Donald Trump, calling it an honour to serve under his leadership. He also highlighted his legislative achievements, family legacy, and record in Congress. However, one detail stood out: Collins did not congratulate or even mention his opponent, Jon Ossoff, during his concession remarks. The result marks a major political setback for Republicans in Georgia and raises new questions about the future of the GOP's influence in the state.

00:00My goodness. Well, hello, Georgia. Thank you. Thank you. Look, we're going to I'm going to get to the message
00:08in just a second.
00:09But there's a few things that I really want to share with you. And I just want to say, y
00:14'all, I have had an amazing and blessed life.
00:18I mean, I've I've been saved by the grace of God. I've been married for 37 years now.
00:25We've got three great grown grown kids and seven incredible grandkids.
00:31And they've been with me every step of the way and everything that I have done.
00:36And also, I've followed in the footsteps of a great man who also took his experience in the private sector
00:44to public life and served his state and country in Congress.
00:49And it's been amazing how many people that I've met on this journey that that he also touched.
00:55And that they also have their own Matt Collins story.
01:00So that's that's how I knew that I could take that same experience, y'all, in the same industry and
01:07go to Washington and deliver results and be productive and put our our state first.
01:13It's because I'd already watched a great man do that.
01:16And on that note, y'all, I'm happy to say that we've we've succeeded, whether whether that be the Trank
01:22Act to get drugs off our streets, taking care of the Port of Savannah and Brunswick and Augusta's Water or
01:30the Lake and Riley Act.
01:31Are y'all just anything in between?
01:34And and and it wasn't just my dad out there, y'all.
01:37It's my mom.
01:38She was always with him and has been a big part in all our lives.
01:44You know, she often she often looks at the pictures of of us out there on the road.
01:48She tells him, Mike, you're you're always so happy and you're always smiling and you look like you're always just
01:54having a good time.
01:56And y'all, that's because it's because of you.
01:58It's because of my supporters.
02:00I mean, obviously, I'm not the type of person that smiles all the time.
02:04I mean, my staff knows that.
02:06But y'all, when when I get out of that truck and get in a crowd, y'all give me
02:12the fuel.
02:12Y'all give me the fuel to keep going and seeing y'all in the fight.
02:16It's just the magic that's allowed me to keep on trucking out there.
02:21Now, y'all, y'all have heard me say it time and time again out there that the good Lord
02:27put me on this earth to work.
02:29And y'all and I absolutely love it.
02:32I love running hard.
02:34And it's been amazing that the that Lord has surrounded me with with a team that would probably try to
02:40outwork me if I give him the chance.
02:43I mean, they work as hard as I do and they absolutely love it.
02:47And they know the mission and I couldn't have I couldn't have done this without my team.
02:52So. So thank you.
03:01Now, folks, when I when I first ran for Congress, I told you I was running for several reasons.
03:08I wanted to make sure that we back our veterans to support our men and women in blue.
03:13Because, y'all, I was so sick and tired of of hearing people say defund the police.
03:18I just couldn't stand it.
03:20You know, I also went up there because because I know that the upcoming generation just doesn't have the same
03:26opportunities that I had.
03:28I mean, y'all, I built my first house at 22 and started my first business at 24.
03:33And they just don't have those opportunities today.
03:36And we've got to get taxes and regulations under control.
03:41Make sure that illegal immigrants are sent home and make sure that young people can chase their version of the
03:48American dream.
03:50Y'all tonight, I'm happy to report that we have delivered on those fronts.
03:56And I want you to know something else, too.
04:06Y'all, it's been an honor, an honor and a privilege to serve under the leadership of the best president
04:14in my lifetime.
04:15That is President Donald J. Trump.
04:25And it's also been an honor and a privilege to serve the 10th District of Georgia.
04:31Now, you know, the results may not be what we wanted tonight.
04:36But, y'all, that's okay.
04:38I'm going to continue to serve in whatever capacity I'm afforded.
04:42And I look forward to whatever the good Lord has in store for us.
04:47Listen, I want to thank everybody out there.
04:50I felt them.
04:52I thank you for your prayers, for your comfort, your support, and your time.
04:58God bless you and God bless Georgia.
