00:002,026 Hurricanes or what?
00:02You know, I didn't really think much of that Wake Forest win earlier.
00:05Now I'm kind of looking at it, and you just mentioned Miami's got the only top 15 win.
00:10Notre Dame doesn't have a top 15 win.
00:12Miami's got a top 15 win.
00:14But when you look at that schedule there, Central Michigan, a down Clemson, a down Florida State.
00:21I mean, Manny, who are the Miami Hurricanes?
00:23How good are they or is Saturday going to tell us more?
00:26Well, I think they're without question one of the most elite offenses in the country.
00:30If not the number one offense, they've got two of the best players in the country.
00:33Darian Mensah, Malachi, Tony.
00:34You can't fake that.
00:35They're doing it every single week against everybody, against double coverage, against triple coverage.
00:39It doesn't matter what defenses throw at them.
00:41They're putting up points every single week.
00:42So without question, they're an elite offense.
00:45I think the real question here is, is there anybody out there in the country that can score with Miami
00:49week in and week out?
00:50Obviously, North Carolina surprised us, playing a close game in Chapel Hill.
00:54They didn't have an elite offense with Billy Edwards, but they played like one.
00:58And so the question is, does Miami face somebody who can stop this offense and allow their offense to play
01:05with this group and keep pace with them?
01:07There's not a lot of good teams in college football these days in terms of well-rounded.
01:12Everybody's got warts.
01:13Everybody's got something wrong with them.
01:14I think Miami is one of the few that has the least amount of problems.
01:18How about Notre Dame?
01:19Let's go over there.
01:20And one of the things you just mentioned, it's got to be on that defensive side of the football, right?
01:24That's going to be the matchup on Saturday, Miami's high-powered offense versus that Notre Dame defense.
01:30In your opinion, watching Notre Dame, I watched them struggle against Navy in the first half this last week.
01:36And, you know, you watched them a little bit against BYU.
01:39BYU ends up losing to a 4-4 UCF team.
01:43How good is this Notre Dame team?
01:45It's a great question.
01:46I think, look, offensively, CJ Carr is one of the best quarterbacks in the country.
01:50But he doesn't have a Malachi, Tony.
01:52He doesn't have a bunch of tremendous weapons and skill players around him.
01:55I think they're moderate to good players, but not great elite special players.
02:00I think defensively is where Notre Dame hangs its hat in the majority of these matchups.
02:04They've got some elite corners and safeties in the secondary.
02:08I like what they've got on the defensive line as well.
02:10So, to me, that's what Notre Dame is.
02:13They're a team that doesn't have necessarily a special offense, just a special quarterback.
02:18And a bunch of really good players on defense.
02:20And it's a great matchup because this is, without question, the best team Miami will face in the regular season.
02:25And I would say the same thing for Notre Dame.
02:27Miami is, without question, the best team they're going to face.
02:30Do you think this is the most explosive offense in Hurricane history?
02:35It's hard to argue against it when your quarterback is completing 80% of his passes, right?
02:39And the offense is still running for close to 200 yards, if not 200 yards.
02:43I haven't looked at the numbers of late, but look, they've got, without question, a bunch of weapons all over
02:48the place.
02:49Cooper Barkate doesn't get the same attention Malachi Tony does.
02:52And when he's one-on-one, he wins a lot of his matchups.
02:54I think Elijah Lofton is a really special weapon as well at tight end and catching balls out of the
03:00backfield.
03:01You saw him hurdle a guy, hop over a guy last week at North Carolina, keep his feet, and turn
03:06that into a 7-8-yard game.
03:07So, they've got a bunch of playmakers on that side of the ball.
03:09I think it very well could be the most explosive offense Miami's ever had.
