00:00Halloween may be over, but the backlash for some celebrities is still fresh. That's because
00:05of some wild costume choices, starting with Martha Stewart, who dressed up as a homeless
00:10person. That did not go over well, especially the I am hungry, help me sign. Even worse,
00:16the controversial costume appeared to have been included in an Instagram carousel promoting
00:21her QVC candle line. Yikes. Stewart deleted the post after many slammed it as offensive,
00:27gross, and out of touch. Now she's walking back the costume, pivoting by telling fans she was
00:32trying to, quote, create awareness about homelessness, telling Page Six in a statement,
00:37I am distressed that my Halloween costume yesterday, which was intended to bring more
00:41awareness to the very serious subject of homelessness, has offended people, which was
00:46never my intention. Homelessness continues to remain one of America's greatest challenges
00:50and ongoing crises, something that I care deeply about, and I've spent a significant amount of
00:55time and effort supporting charities that combat this ongoing social epidemic. But then after
01:00that statement was rejected by many online, Stewart went and posted another apology, writing,
01:06It's hard to admit when you've really screwed up. My earlier statement didn't go far enough.
01:11I know many people are suffering economically. Wearing a costume like I did was insensitive
01:16and not funny. I'm very sorry. Martha, Martha, Martha. But Martha Stewart wasn't alone.
01:22Jessica Alba also had to delete her bloody-knee Nancy Kerrigan costume, with her friend Kelly
01:28Sawyer as Tonya Harding holding a baseball bat, factually incorrect for what it's worth.
01:33Many of Alba's followers criticized her choice, calling it immature and distasteful. One even said,
01:40First Martha, now Jessica? But there's even more. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Orange County
01:45spinoff star, McCall Dupron, and her family dressed up as Kennedys and Secret Service on the day of JFK's
01:52assassination. She captioned the post, Happy Halloween, love the Kennedys. That is also now
01:58deleted. But she's not the first to do it. Last year, Julia Fox caused a major firestorm after dressing
02:05up as a bloody version of that outfit for her Halloween costume. But unlike all of this year's
02:10deleted costumes, Julia's version still remains up on her page. So who do you think had the most tone-deaf
02:15celebrity costume of 2026? Sound off in the comments on which you think was the worst. And of course,
02:22subscribe to Page Six for all your latest on your favorite and misbehaving stars.
