00:00Silent Hill Townfall is an unrelentingly dark and disturbing horror game that takes its time to build a complex story
00:06and characters.
00:07I've played a lot of horror games over the years, and built up a thick skin in that time to
00:10anything but the bluntest of jump scares.
00:13So when I say Silent Hill Townfall scared me, upset me, and left me with just a whole lot of
00:17stuff in my head I don't entirely want to have to think about, that means it impressed me.
00:21Now it's done, I just keep rolling it around in my mind, trying to find a way to make it
00:25lie comfortably.
00:26But I suspect I will be thinking about it for a long time to come.
00:30Townfall is properly scary, features fantastic atmosphere and looks, brilliant sound design, and a compelling story to unravel.
00:36While it can be wearingly stealth heavy, the overall result is an astonishing horror experience with an impeccably crafted atmosphere
00:42and a distressing story of remorse and penance.
00:45Even with its flaws, it's about as good as horror gaming gets, and it feels utterly Silent Hill.
