00:09I love my red lip look and I'm hoping James can show me how to wear with a smoky eye.
00:13So you always wear a gorgeous red lip and finding a perfect eye to pair with it can be a
00:19little daunting.
00:21What I would love to do is show you a simple smoky.
00:23Something you can do in a few steps that will give you great balance for the beautiful red lip.
00:27And I'm going to start using all pencils to create this eye.
00:32And I'm starting with a soft charcoal.
00:34You can blend this with your finger or you can blend it with a brush, however you feel comfortable.
00:38But the trick is to hold it like a pencil and then I'm just going to smudge it along the
00:42top and bottom lash line.
00:45Next step, we're going in with a black pencil.
00:48Now I love a deep black water line with a smoky eye and with your beautiful eyes that's really going
00:54to work.
00:54So again, hold it like a pencil, use the whole tip, just look right up, blink if you need to.
01:00So step three, again we're keeping it really simple with pencils.
01:03And this one is a beautiful metallic shade.
01:06I love that with your eye color.
01:08I'm going to keep it really subtle.
01:09And we're going to bring that just on the eye from crease to lash.
01:12You can go in with your finger or with a brush and just sheer that down.
01:18And that little touch of metallic is going to open up the eye and give you a really easy, beautiful
01:25smoke.
01:26So the last step is mascara.
01:28And you've got beautiful lashes.
01:30Because we're keeping it smoky, I'm going to go with black.
01:32And this mascara has both lengthening and thickening properties.
01:36But the trick with the smoky eye, keep it really close to the roof.
01:39And we're not putting any mascara at all on the bottom.
01:42We're really focusing on the top.
01:44I'm going to do the other eye and even you out and then I'm going to let you take a
01:48look.
