00:09Today I'm double daring myself to go strong on my eyes and my lips. Alright so
00:14we're talking about a dark eye with a dramatic lip. What is it about this look
00:19that has your little afraid? Well I love doing like strong kind of different eye
00:25makeup looks and I love a bright or a dark lip but pairing them together and
00:29getting the right shades is really challenging. It is a challenge and that
00:33femme fatale look can be fatal for a lot of women because it makes them look
00:37overly made up. Let me show you how to make that look modern. Awesome let's do it.
00:43So I'm using a kohl pencil and I'm bringing it right along that waterline
00:48right inside the eye. Then you can take your same kohl pencil hold it like a
00:53pencil use the whole tip not just the point and we're just gonna sketch it
00:56right along that lash line. What makes the eye smoky is the saturation of color
01:01around the lashes so I'm going back in with a brush and I'm just blending that
01:06right up so it's a little bit softer and sexier. Next I'm gonna use a chubby
01:10charcoal pencil so I'm just building this color on really softly just to give us a
01:16base and I'm bringing it from crease to lash. Next I'm gonna go in with my finger
01:21and I'm just gonna blend that right up. So it's really just a soft smudge but it
01:26will give us that sooty smoky effect and I'm gonna finish this off with a clean
01:30color. For your eye to give us something a little different than the expected
01:34black I'm gonna use a soft smoky blue and again I'm just using that on the lid
01:40from crease to lash. I'm starting in the center of the lid so that's my biggest
01:45impact of color and I'm using my finger just to kind of sheer it all the way out. Now I'm
01:50taking my same blending brush and my same cream color and I'm just working that
01:55back into the bottom lash line getting this beautiful soft smudgy smoky eye
02:01that's sexy but still wearable from daytime right into evening. Now I'm going
02:06to do a deep dark lip. So I'm starting with a lip pencil now the trick with a
02:11lip pencil is to still use something that's close to the lip color so I'm
02:14only going a few shades darker and your lip color and then shading it up towards
02:19the center. I'm also shading my color into the corners of the mouth because
02:23with this dark color we really want to pull that mouth forward. Next is our lip
02:28color. I'm using a gloss. Gloss only goes in the center of the lip and then I'm
02:32gonna go in with a lip brush just to fill in with my color. Take a look let me
02:38know if you like it. Oh wow. It's dramatic but it's beautiful and it's a daring look
02:44that any woman can wear from daytime to evening any day. That's awesome it's
02:50really different I love it.
