00:14Today, I'm double-daring myself to do a purple lip.
00:17So, what is it that bothers you about a purple lip?
00:20I mean, I love the purple lip.
00:21I think that's a really cool, like, trendy look right now,
00:23but I feel like I haven't found something that matches my skin complexion,
00:27and it, like, really washes me out.
00:29What I can say about most of the times with this purple lip
00:32is that it can have too much blue in it,
00:34and it can make you look dead or washed out.
00:38I get that. Definitely, I get that a lot.
00:38So, what we're going to try to do is we're going to try to underline it
00:41with a plum lip liner.
00:43So, we're going to give it a little bit more of a warmer tone.
00:45So, we're going to take a purple lip liner, plum.
00:49You're going to outline the lip.
00:51When you're filling in the lip, just make sure that you get a nice, smooth edge.
00:59And you sort of want to contour it just a little bit.
01:03So, then we're going to take one of these purple lipsticks that I already have
01:05that has a little blue tone to it,
01:07but I'm going to add a little more of a shadow that has a little more blue in this purple.
01:11So, we're really going to give it a little bit more of that trendy purple that we're looking for.
01:17Start from the inside and work your way on outward.
01:22Also, practicing with using a lip brush and working it on making sure you're getting out to all the corners
01:28and really shaping that lip so it's luscious and beautiful.
01:32I feel that this color with the very undertone really is giving you that nice urban look that you're looking
01:38for,
01:38but still have a nice warmth to it so you don't look cold, washed out, or dead.
01:43Take a look.
01:45Oh, wow. I love it. It looks really good.
01:50So, you got rid of your fear of using a purple lip.
01:52Maybe, maybe. It takes a little bit of work, so maybe I can see myself doing it, but I'm not
01:57so sure yet.
01:58But I definitely think this looks really great on my skin tone.
02:01Well, try it at home, wear it out for a little bit in the house,
02:04and then see, maybe you might venture out to the close.
02:06And get over my fears.
