Give your cat eye a grunge look.

00:09I'm really fearful of bold and dramatic eye looks, so I'm hoping that today James can
00:12teach me a look that I love. So Candice, a bold eyeliner, big shapes, they terrify you.
00:19Yes. Why? I feel like I always stray away from things that are really eye-catching and crazy bold,
00:24because I like to keep things simple. Well, you know I love a natural look,
00:28but I think makeup can also be fun. And I'd love to show you something dramatic that also plays up
00:34the
00:34beautiful shape of your eye. Let's do it. Alright. So I'm starting with a taupe shadow. I can trace right
00:39over it.
00:40It gives me depth and allows me to not make mistakes. Next, I'm going in with a black cream liner.
00:46Liquid liner and cream liner are not interchangeable. Cream liners tend to have a lot more depth to them,
00:51and I love that as a bottom line. And I'm lining from the inner corner of the eye right along
00:56the lash line
00:57and giving it a little wing up at the outer corner of the eye, right towards the eyebrow.
01:02Next, I'm going to take a black pencil, and I'm going right inside on the water line.
01:08The black pencil and the black cream liner will give me two different formulations of black,
01:14and just those subtle differences are so sexy. Next, I'm taking a black liquid liner,
01:19and I'm lining right along the lash line, and just drawing it out until it meets my black cream liner.
01:26And to give this a really exciting point of difference, I'm going to add in Swarovski crystals
01:32to the inner corner of the eye. So I'm taking a bit of duo adhesive, and I'm taking my Swarovski
01:37crystal,
01:38I'm giving the glue a chance to get a little tacky, and then I'm bringing it right in to that
01:43inner corner.
01:45I love this combination of black textures. I really hope you love it.
01:49Take a look. Tell me what you think.
01:53Whoa!
01:55What do you think?
01:55This is really, really awesome, but I don't think that I'm going to be able to do it myself.
02:00I know you can do this. It's three easy steps, and it's dramatic in its texture,
02:04but it opens up your whole eye, so I'm going to talk you through it.
02:07Alright, I'm going to try. I'm going to try.
02:09Alright, let's do it. The first step, taupe shadow on a liner brush,
02:12and copy the shape that I have on the other side.
02:15So step two, we're going to take a black cream liner,
02:19and you're going to trace it right over the taupe shadow. Perfect.
02:22So the next step is we're going to take our pencil liner,
02:25and you're lining it right inside the eye along the membrane. Beautiful.
02:30Next step, liquid liner. Start at the inner corner, and then wing it out to meet the line that you
02:35drew from the bottom.
02:36Now the last step, we're adding in a Swarovski crystal, and you can use your fingers if the tweezers are
02:42difficult to work with.
02:44Perfect.
02:45Well, you know, I'm hoping I can give this a go and use this when I go out with the
02:48girls one night.
02:49I know you will.
02:49Thanks so much, James.
02:51We'll see you next time.
