00:34Josh gave me a recipe for an Old Fashioned so I'm gonna try to whip one up in under
00:39five minutes. Let's see if I can do it. I've got my voter registration form, my ID, envelope,
00:48stamp, and a pen. I've got all of my ingredients. There's some bourbon here, a little bitters.
00:54I've got Josh's recipe over here and I've got a timer which I'm going to
00:59set to five minutes. Let's see if I can do it. I'm ready but I'm a little nervous
01:04because I've never made an Old Fashioned before. Starting now. Let's get started.
01:09It's 5.08 now. I think I can get this done in five minutes. Are you a citizen of the
01:14US?
01:14Yes. 18 years or older? Yes. Alright, so I have to start by adding some ices to the glass to
01:21chill.
01:22Easy enough. No complicated recipe secrets there. Alright, we've got one and two.
01:31Last name. First name. So next, I'm supposed to combine whiskey, simple syrup, and bitters
01:40and a cocktail shaker with ice. Middle initial. Birth date. Four ounces of bourbon. I'm going
01:48to do two of these guys. One. Getting bourbon everywhere. It's a crazy day. Email. Then I'm doing,
02:02let's see, simple syrup. I am now at one minute and 40 seconds. I feel like I got this. I

02:13totally gonna do this under five minutes. Gender. Address. Two dashes of orange bitters. Have you
02:23voted? Nope. Information hasn't changed. Identification. Social Security number.
02:30One. Two. Now, shake it all up like the cool bartenders always do in the bar. Political party.
02:40No party. Optional questions. Nope. I have to pour it in here. Stir it for 20 to 30 seconds.
02:51We're at two minutes and 40 seconds on my timer. Date. May 21st. So next, I'm supposed
03:01to strain the mix over fresh ice glasses. Ooh, look at that. Beautiful. So the last step,
03:10we're at three minutes and 45 seconds. I have to garnish with a twisted orange peel to express
03:15the oil over it. That's it. Wow. That was like so much easier than I thought it would be.
03:19We've got a little orange peel. I'm at four minutes and 25 seconds, guys. I have only like
03:2540 seconds to go. I think I'm done. I think I just made my first ever Old Fashioned. One
03:49for me. One for you guys. Four minutes and 45 seconds. I did it just under five minutes.
