00:12I'm not allowed to pick it with a comb.
00:14I'm not allowed to finger comb it.
00:16I'm not even allowed to think about combing my hair.
00:18So I'm just going to let it run wild,
00:20and we'll see what happens.
00:22I don't really brush my hair.
00:24I usually just comb it out with my hands.
00:26I find that if I use a brush with my type of hair,
00:29it just makes it really frizzy.
00:30I brush my hair daily, like maybe twice a day sometimes.
00:34It's extremely important for me and other curly girls
00:37to brush their hair daily.
00:39Our hair gets very dry easily, and it gets tangled.
00:43These curls underneath just become one giant curl,
00:45and it becomes really knotty, and then I pull it out,
00:47and all this hair comes out.
00:49I'm literally not excited at all.
00:51By the time I'm finished, it's going to be out to hair,
00:54and I'm going to have a lot of straight pieces.
00:56So I'm really interested to see what my hair is going to look
00:59like without me brushing or finger combing this thing.

01:24because I literally brush my hair every single day.

01:38It looks, like, good from far away.

01:44And then you get up close, and you're like, whoa, girl.
01:47When is the last time you brushed your hair?
01:52This hair kind of looks like it was on a doll,
01:55and the kid just, like, left it to go play with another doll.
01:59I don't even know what this is anymore.
02:01Like, I look like I've been hit by lightning.
02:04My hair is a disaster.
02:07You don't want your hair to be greasy and dry.

02:10But that's what I am right now, a greasy, dry mess.

02:16Maybe not brushing our hair actually does wonders for it.

02:22So, I'm about to wash my hair for the first time in my life.

02:53So, I just got out of the shower, and because I didn't comb through my hair before, a lot
02:59more hair came out of the shower.

03:07Usually, I have half of this because I get it mostly out when it's dry, which is a lot
03:12easier, and more just could put it out.
03:13But, that was disgusting.

03:19And, first off, I'm so happy to go like this and not feel like I'm cheating on my challenge.
03:26I definitely learned that my hair needs to be combed through because if it doesn't, I'm
03:30just going to get a giant chunk.
03:32You know, I love volume.
03:34Like, the bigger the better, right?
03:35But, like, there's no definition here, and my hair is so dry, I feel like it's going to
03:42just fall out.
03:43You know, people just do what they do with their hair.
03:46Some people brush it.
03:47Some people comb it.
03:48Some people just talk to it.
03:49Some people just smell it.
