00:09We're so glad you're here. I'm so thrilled. You probably know her best because she's
00:13the longtime makeup artist to one of our favorites which is Gina Rodriguez. Yes,
00:18Gina is my favorite as well and I'm so lucky that I get to work with someone
00:22with such great skin so I get to show off a beautiful healthy glow on her. So
00:28we are here testing dozens upon dozens upon dozens of drugstore highlighters in
00:33a pursuit of getting to the five best. What is the first pick? So the first pick
00:39is the Jordana Glow and Go creamy strobing stick and I love this. I love actually
00:46all the colors that they had from light, medium to dark so I couldn't just pick
00:52one because I think this whole line is great for every skin tone. Fun fact this
00:57is $4.99. We have a lovely volunteer Amber. Let me try one of these on you.
01:04Yay! Amber has such beautiful skin. I love your skin tone. Thank you. So we're gonna try the
01:10Jordana. So I'm just gonna apply on the cheekbone and then we'll just use a beauty blender. I think it
01:19depends on like the type of person but this little applicator is so great you can
01:23just literally just draw down your nose, draw on the sides. It's super creamy so
01:27it's not gonna dry so quick. You can really blend it in.
01:34So I really love this pick. I'm glad we did this one. It's so pretty. Thank you. And as you're
01:41wearing it during the day it only looks better.
01:43Yeah. All right. So one down. What is your second pick? So my second pick comes from Wet n Wild.
01:52That's not surprising at all. I feel like everyone always talks about Wet n Wild
01:56highlighters because they're great but they're also really cheap. Yes. I mean
02:00it's probably the cheapest line out there and how smooth and soft it is. Yeah. And this color
02:07they're precious petals is a color that's universally flattering. So it's a little
02:13bit of gold to it. So I feel like this can be worn with any skin tone really. Super
02:20soft universally flattering which is huge because it makes it totally foolproof if
02:24you want to just go pick it up. Tell us about the application. How would you put
02:27this on? So I would put this on because it's a powder because it's highly
02:31pigmented. I would use a brush and you can just buff it into your skin and it also
02:37helps you to control how much you're putting on because this is so pigmented
02:42and such a you can have such a wow moment. It helps you to control how much
02:46you're using. Cool. All right. We are two down and have three to go.
02:50Carissa, take us to our third pick. Okay. It's the Maybelline Master Strobing
02:55Stick. When you're blending it, it almost feels like a really silky powder. I'm like, no.
03:03It's all mine. It's all mine. Luckily, it's very low price. Really pretty. Really pretty. I love
03:09the way it feels. Yeah, it feels really nice. Yeah. So you would just draw on and blend or
03:14how would you? Yeah, you can draw on again because it's cream. It's easy to use your
03:18finger if you're that kind of girl. You can also use a beauty blender. I love a beauty
03:23blender. I could not live without this. So now we are down to number four. The Almay
03:28Instant Glow Highlighting Duo. Ooh, Duo. I know. Two-sided. Options. Which is really liquidy. You can maybe even put
03:38a few drops of this into your
03:40foundation. Pretty. If you wanted like an all-over glow. Ooh, that's nice. It's very light and subtle. Yeah. It
03:46is very subtle.
03:47This little applicator would be really good for like insides of the eyes or under brow bone. Ooh. A little
03:52inner eye strobing. Exactly. And then the other side, which is a
03:57cream stick. As you can tell, I really like the creams. I feel like all of these have one big
04:02commonality, which is that they're not glittery, they're not chunky, and they're just really pretty and shimmery. For our next
04:09highlighting
04:10model, we have another Refinery29 stack for Jeanette. And for Jeanette's look, I'm gonna try the Almay Highlighting Duo look
04:20for sheen instead of glitter. And I'm gonna use a flat angle brush. And this was the only pink I
04:27really liked.
04:27because it didn't look too, like I say, like, unicorny. So you want to apply in these areas because that's
04:34where the light's hitting. And you want to have the center of your face more forward where it's more glowing
04:43and the perimeter, that's why you, you contour in the perimeter of the skin.
04:53The last one is by Flower. You have a champagne color, always a favorite of mine, a little bit of
05:01a rose color, and of course a gold. And so this is kind of cool because you can mix it,
05:08you can wear some on the eyes, you can wear a gold on the eye and the champagne on the
05:14cheek. And this one is especially pigmented.
05:18This is like, we're ending with the major, most intense color pigments for the highlighter. This is the See Your
05:26Highlighter from Space palette. This is the Space one. This is your Instagram highlight. Oh my gosh, you know what
05:32else this is amazing for? It just dawned on me. It's great for like the collarbone area, the shoulder. That's
05:40a celebrity makeup artist right there. That is, that's true. That's true. Like, it's not just about here, you guys.
05:45We do the whole, the whole body. You highlight the whole body.
05:48Yeah, I'm like getting on the toes, making sure it's coming. You highlight toes? No, I don't highlight toes. So
05:54I'm going to use the champagne color on Lexi. I like to tap off the excess.

06:12try some like, right here. What am I doing? I can't really see. I mean, it's like, it's there. It's
