00:00And I went 23 years without a diagnosis.
00:03It still took about 10 years for anyone to figure out just why I was in so much pain.
00:08It took a few different doctors to figure out what was going on and then they diagnosed me with endometriosis.
00:14To attack this one area and educate so many nurses and so many schools and so many girls
00:22and to tell them that this isn't part of being a woman, that they should really check it out
00:29and something can be done.
00:30You were in the hospital, I know, with your endometriosis twice and like for a week's stay each time, right?
00:36Yeah.
00:36Which is a long time to be in the hospital.
00:37I ended up spending a total of 10 nights in the hospital this summer. I got way too comfortable there.
00:41And I felt really sad inside because I had struggled for a very long time with endometriosis and PCOS
00:47since my 20s and I was undiagnosed for a very long time so I had several miscarriages,
00:52this huge battle that nobody knew about.
00:55Sort of like, I'm a dancer, I'm a tough cookie. I guess this is just what it's like for a
00:59woman to have periods
01:01and not just in the menstrual cycle but the entire month and the pain.
01:06I guess I'd like to start by thanking my uterine tissue for growing in places where it shouldn't.
01:12Are you in the cannabis business now?
01:14I am in a way, yes. I created something for women who go through horrifying cramps.
01:22My life's mission is actually to raise awareness about endometriosis,
01:27which is something I suffered from and 200 million other women around the world suffer from.
01:33You're walking through all the world who gets a hit once in a lifetime.
01:38Hold on with me, please.
01:38If you notice the whole house I can't do anything you will see.
