00:15I never know how to pull off a cherry lip, so today I'm going to triple dog dare myself to
00:19get it right.
00:20So Jem, the cherry red lip, it's a challenge for you.
00:24Absolutely.
00:24What is it about the red lip that you find really difficult or that you're afraid of?
00:28Well, there are two things. I find that wearing a red lip during the day is really tough.
00:34And then I also find that whenever I'm wearing it, it kind of smears all over my face, even on
00:38my clothes sometimes.
00:40Reds can be tough. It's a challenge for a lot of women.
00:43Sometimes it's finding the right shade of red that allows you to wear it daytime or nighttime.
00:47We're going to talk about that.
00:48The other thing I want to show you are some of my favorite tricks for keeping your lip in place
00:53all day long.
00:54Sounds good. Let's try it.
00:55So what I want to do is start with a product that's going to prep and prime the lip and
01:00also help to moisturize and keep that lip color in place.
01:04Because one of the reasons lipstick spreads is it is the moisture spreading to a dryer area.
01:10I'm going to let that set for a second and then we're going to go in with a lip pencil.
01:14So I'm using a pencil shade that is close to your lip color that will also stop that red from
01:20moving.
01:21And next we can go in with our lip color.
01:23By starting with a red that has a more orange base, what we're doing is combining a cool and a
01:30warm red to give you that pop of cherry that we love.
01:34But still let you feel really comfortable in your lip look.
01:37And so what we're going to do next is take a red lip balm, lip gloss or lipstick and what
01:44this will do is give you that feel of a cherry lip look without that exaggeration that I think for
01:52you makes it feel really difficult to wear.

02:05I also want to deal with your concern about clean up.
02:08So one of my little tricks is to use your moisturizer on the cotton swap and use that for quick
02:14and easy clean up without compromising the rest of your makeup and it just keeps everything in place and looking
02:23perfect.
02:24Perfect, this is simple enough and I'm really excited to try it for the fall.
