00:06Hi everyone, it's Taylor from Refinery29. Today I'm going to show you how to create a chiseled
00:10cheek using bronzer and blush. We're going to start with a basic all-over bronzer look,
00:14and then I'm going to show you how to create a more defined cheekbone using a matte bronzer.
00:19Today I'm going to be using the Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder in number three.
00:23I'm going to be applying it with the Hourglass number one powder brush. I'll then be applying
00:27the Becca Mineral Blush in Flower Child to the apple of my cheeks using the Mali blush brush.
00:33Using the powder brush, I'm going to apply the Guerlain Bronzer to the high planes of the face.
00:38Using small circular motions, I'm going to blend in a c-shape around the eye, starting on the cheekbone
00:43first. You want to make sure that you blend the bronzer into your hairline as well. Next we're
00:48going to apply it along the jawline and down the bridge of the nose, blending into the cheeks.
00:53Don't forget to blend into your neck as well. Now, using the Becca blush, I'm going to apply
00:58the color to the apples of the cheek, blending out into the hairline. I like to take the powder
01:03brush and re-blend everything together for a seamless finish. And there you go. Now I'm going
01:09to teach you how to create a more chiseled cheek using a matte bronzer and a heavier pigmented blush.
01:14But first things first, many companies include brushes in their blushes and bronzers. Throw it away.
01:19These brushes are only going to leave you looking like you have an 80s stripe on your face. You're
01:24going to want to use a fluffier, denser brush to get a more blended, natural look. To create a more
01:29defined sculpt, you're going to want to use a brighter pigmented blush. Today I'll be using
01:34the Lorac blush in Desire, but you can also use the NARS blush in Taos, another of my favorites. I'll
01:39be applying this blush with the Mali blush brush. To build color, I'll be applying the Hourglass
01:45Superficial bronzer in Mirage with the Hourglass No. 7 finish brush. Then we're going to highlight
01:51the cheekbone with the Stila Kitten Shimmer Powder. I'm going to apply that with my fingers.
01:56To create this look, suck your cheeks in and apply the matte bronzer with the finish brush
02:00into the hollows of your cheeks, just under your cheekbones. Make sure to blend it into
02:05your existing bronzer. Using the blush brush, apply Desire blush to the apples of your cheek,
02:12blending into your bronzer. I like to take the brush again and blend all the colors into each
02:17other. Now using your finger, pick up the Kitten Shimmer Powder and apply to the high planes of the
02:25cheek, just under your eye. So that's it. Add these steps to your everyday beauty routine to create a
02:34simple, sexy, chiseled cheek.
