00:00Paul, what happened to Consta Hellenius?
00:03He got absolutely, basically, Trouba lined him up for a hit.
00:09And I don't know if Hellenius had his head down or didn't see him,
00:14but he basically almost broke him in half.
00:16And he was a little slow in getting up.
00:19He wasn't, you know, he didn't lay there or anything
00:22and went over to the bench and he didn't get the trainer right away.
00:26He sat at the end of the bench and I was watching him
00:28and I could tell he was in a little bit of distress.
00:31He was kind of leaning over, maybe trying to catch his breath
00:35or something like that.
00:36And then the trainer finally did come over once
00:39and then left him alone and twice.
00:41And he tried to play a little bit after that and that was it.
00:44And they pulled him off and he has been sent back to Buffalo.
00:48How does that work logistically?
00:50Like they just buy him a ticket, he flies commercial?
00:53I would imagine it's a first class ticket, I would think, but I don't know.
00:57But, yeah, that's what they do.
00:59It's like you're not going to play the rest of the trip.
01:02Let's get you back to Buffalo, see the doctors, and see what's going on here.
01:06Yeah, that's tough.
01:07I mean, they'll be out there, as will yourself, for, what, three more days?
01:13So you could just kind of wait.
01:16But, I don't know, sometimes they might do that
01:18and sometimes they want you to get home and looked at.
01:21Yeah, I think they wanted him to get home and looked at.
01:23That it was probably pretty obvious to a doctor or whoever we're talking about here
01:27that said, you know, he's not going to be able to play.
01:31So there's just really no point in, you know, keeping him here.
01:35I know they sent Kulik home early.
01:37That was out of Toronto, though.
01:38That wasn't hard to send him home.
01:40Matter of fact, I think he's gone home twice early.
01:42I think, you know, with the injuries he's had.
01:45So it's not uncommon that they do that.
01:48No, it's just, you know, spare no expense, right?
01:51I mean, the team has no trouble affording that trip, paying for that trip.
01:55Who goes in?
01:56As I said, I would hope it's a first-class seat.
01:59Especially.
02:00Who goes in?
02:03Kulik has not been practicing, but I asked Ruff, and he said Kulik is ready.
02:09But he didn't say he's playing.
02:11The choices are to put him in, and he did take line rushes,
02:15or dress a seventh defenseman.
02:18Because all the defensemen worked in,
02:20so you really couldn't tell who the third pair was going to be,
02:24Crevier, Gilbert, or Metzah.
02:26So he could dress all seven if he wanted to, or dress Karrick.
02:30But Karrick took the full practice, and Ruff did say he's ready.
02:34He just didn't commit to that he's in the lineup.
02:36He's not losing it.
02:36He shouldn't
