00:07Robert Downey Jr. is the villain of Avengers Doomsday, so why are some fans convinced Tony
00:13Stark could still walk into this movie wearing a suit made from the metal of Thor's hammer?
00:18Marvel's next trailer is reportedly stacked with surprises, and one report says five new
00:24characters are about to be revealed. Some of what's coming is documented, some of it is pure
00:30theory, and telling them apart is where this story gets interesting. Before we get into it,
00:35a quick favor. If you want daily MCU breakdowns between now and December, subscribe to MCU Decoded.
00:42Fair warning, major spoilers ahead. I'll tell you what's confirmed, what's a leak, and what's just
00:49a theory. First, where things actually stand. Avengers Doomsday opens in the U.S. on December
00:5718th, less than two months from now. Marvel has already released several teasers and trailers,
01:03and just this past weekend, a new promo aired during the World Series, showing Steve Rogers
01:09calling Mjolnir into his hand. But plenty of fans came away underwhelmed. Their complaint was simple,
01:15the footage hasn't created the kind of hype the Infinity War trailers did. So, now the buzz is
01:22that Marvel has been saving its best material. A final trailer is rumored for November. Marvel
01:28hasn't announced a date, so treat that as a rumor. But here's what people are saying will be inside it.
01:34Let's start with the detail that's splitting the fanbase, Doom himself. Fans who've studied the
01:40trailers frame by frame, describe Doom humiliating Thor, stopping Stormbreaker with two fingers,
01:47and telling the God of Thunder that Hell answers to him. Yet, in another shot, Reed Richards grabs
01:53a Doom by the neck and shouts at him like he's nothing. And in a third, a Doom in different
01:58armor
01:59gets thrown off a ship alongside Mjolnir. One popular reading says those are two different Dooms.
02:05The argument goes like this. A man who can humiliate a god wouldn't let a stretchy scientist grab his
02:11throat. The costumes don't match either. One fan analysis counts two mystical emblems on the first
02:17Doom's chest, and only one on the second. Now, that's an interpretation, not a confirmation.
02:24But there is comic book precedent. Doombots are Doom's robot doubles, and in the comics,
02:30some of them genuinely believe they're the real thing. So, a Doombot who thinks he's Victor von
02:36Doom? Not impossible. One Doom, or two? Be honest, and tell me in the comments. And if this breakdown
02:43has earned it, hit that like button. It genuinely helps the channel. Now, the five names. The report
02:50says the final trailer will reveal Boris, the three Latverian witches, and Mobius. The witches have
02:56technically already appeared in promotional material. What nobody has seen is who's under
03:01the masks. Boris is the bigger mystery. In the comics, Boris Corella is Doom's most trusted advisor.
03:09In the film, the leading theory is that Boris is a codename hiding Doctor Strange.
03:14Here's the logic. At the end of Multiverse of Madness, Clea tells Strange he caused an incursion,
03:20a collision between universes, and the two leave to fix it. The theory says that's where things go
03:26wrong. Strange learns incursions can't be fixed, and Doom offers the only alternative. Merge the
03:33realities into one. In the 2015 Secret Wars comics, Strange really does become Doom's right-hand man,
03:40and leaked promo images, which remain unverified, show a masked Boris with a third eye marking,
03:47just like the one Strange grew at the end of that film. But the picture is messy. One report says
03:53Cumberbatch initially said he wasn't in Doomsday, then walked it back. Concept artist Jorge Molina
03:59told a fan that Boris had been removed from the movie. Insider James Mack disputed that,
04:04and the same coverage notes the Russos have called some of these leaks fake. So where does that leave
04:10us? Nowhere official. And Mobius, for now, is rumor only. Then there's the reveal fans want most,
04:18Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man fighting Wolverine. Multiple insiders say Doomsday opens in Tobey's
04:24universe, with Wolverine and Deadpool sent to destroy it as an incursion closes in. That would fit the
04:30title, because Doomsday is built around these universe collisions. Marvel hasn't officially confirmed
04:36Tobey's involvement, and the details are contested. Some rumors say Spider-Man dies in that fight.
04:42Other insiders say he doesn't. A photo of Tobey looking up at an incursion in the sky
04:48also went viral recently, and it could easily be fake. Still, picture it. A Spider-Man fans haven't
04:55seen on screen since No Way Home, alone against the X-Men. Which side are you on? Does he survive
05:01that
05:01opening fight, or not? Say it in the comments. And while you're there, if you're enjoying this,
05:07hit like one more time. We're not done. Because now, we get to the wildest theory of all,
05:13Iron Man returning from Valhalla. It starts with Thor, Love and Thunder, when Jane Foster dies fighting
05:20beside Thor and arrives at the gates of Valhalla. Valhalla, in Norsemyth and in Marvel, welcomes
05:27warriors who die in battle. So apply that logic to Tony Stark, who died in Endgame, fighting beside
05:34Thor. Fans argue that if Jane earned Valhalla as a human, so could Tony. Here's what's documented.
05:41Scoopers claim that in Doomsday, a beaten Thor prays to Odin, and Odin answers with an army from
05:47Valhalla. Jane Foster and Heimdall are the names mentioned most. Tony's name isn't on those lists.
05:54So that's where the leak ends, and the theory begins. The theory then adds an Uru suit. Uru being
06:01the metal of Thor's hammer. And there is comics precedent. In War of the Realms, Iron Man, Shuri,
06:08and a dwarf craftsman forged in Uru and Vibranium armor. But it was built for Odin, not for Tony.
06:14So the real comic story runs the opposite direction. There's history here too. In 2022,
06:21a scooper said Downey would return in Secret Wars. Downey had said on Joe Rogan's podcast
06:27that coming back was off the table. Then, Marvel cast him as Doom. And the Russos? In 2025,
06:35asked whether Doom connects to Tony's death, Anthony Russo said they couldn't explain it because it's
06:40part of the story. Later, Joe Russo told Empire there are zero similarities between Doom and Iron
06:47Man. Both statements can't comfortably be true, can they? So, Tony and Valhalla? Possible? Sure.
06:55Confirmed? Not even close. Agree or disagree? I genuinely want to know.
07:00Finally, the numbers. Tracker Global Box Office reported on October 6th that Doomsday crossed
07:07$100 million in global pre-sales. That's not Marvel's own figure, but the early signs are real.
07:14Premium format tickets went on sale July 20th and pulled in $16.5 million on day one.
07:21Doomsday also became the first film to pass $40 million in domestic pre-sales with 100 days to go.
07:28Pre-sales don't guarantee a final total, but that's a lot of people already locked in.
07:33It also opens the same day as Dune, part 3, so don't expect an easy weekend. If tickets are on
07:40sale where you live, book early, especially for IMAX and premium screens. So, the final trailer
07:47might deliver Boris, The Witches, Mobius, and Toby vs. Wolverine. It might not. Either way,
07:54I'll break it down the moment it lands. If you want that, subscribe for daily MCU videos,
08:00drop a like, and tell me in the comments. Which of these 5 reveals are you most excited to see?
