Elon Musk promised a full AI movie... and we got seven minutes. 🎬🤖
On October 23, 2026, Grok Imagine released "Episode 1" of its AI-generated version of Homer's "The Odyssey", made with Wonder Studios. Back in July, Musk had promised a full-length, "historically accurate" film "true to the art of Homer", after criticising the casting of Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey". The episode follows Odysseus from Ithaca to the Trojan War. Many viewers roasted it online: some called it garbage, others said the motion looked strange, "like everything is underwater", and critics pointed out the characters speak English, not ancient Greek. Meanwhile, Nolan's live-action "The Odyssey" has passed $1.7 billion at the box office, Universal's biggest release ever. Musk still says the full AI movie is coming by the end of 2026.
