00:01Well, Apple f***ing did it. We have a foldable phone that actually not only
00:06transforms like the user experience, it's the hardware and software working
00:10together that really only they could pull off. This is the iPhone Duo. I'm sorry
00:15Samsung but you just got beat in terms of just how this phone works. Starting
00:20with the front display, it's 5.4 inches but when you open up this thing you can
00:24see that there's barely a crease. You might be able to see it but you can't
00:28feel it. It's also like a nano texture on top of this display so you could barely
00:34even tell that it's a foldable phone. It's definitely on the smaller side than I
00:38thought it would be. This is 7.6 inches when open, 5.4 inches when closed but
00:43just look at like how seamless the transition is from phone to basically
00:49iPad mini when you open the device. And they've really thought through the
00:53software starting with how apps are redesigned. Everything is on the right
00:57hand of the display so it's easier to use. Multitasking is also pretty intuitive.
01:03You can't do three apps at once as you can on the Samsung but it's pretty easy to
01:07open two apps side by side and you can see how it like fills in there so it's
01:11pretty intuitive to use as a foldable phone. The other thing I'm pretty
01:15impressed with in terms of the software experience is how they're optimizing apps.
01:20So Netflix is a really good example. You could see that there's no black bars as
01:24you're watching content which is really nice but we'll have to see how YouTube
01:28and other apps actually work. And that includes using something like the Fold 8
01:33doesn't have which is the ability to articulate the hinge in different
01:37directions and have a different software experience and dual pane apps are also
01:41going to be in effect here. So Slack will have like your rooms on the left hand
01:45side and your messages will be on the right. Something that's not there right now
01:48with the Fold 8. In terms of the camera experience you have two 48 megapixel
01:54cameras on the back so you're not getting a telephoto which is a little bit
01:57of a bummer. But one thing I do like in terms of the cameras is that when you're
02:02using the FaceTime camera on the inside it's only visible when you're using it.
02:07They've done a really good job of hiding this camera here. You can see that only then
02:12does the camera appear. In terms of how you get into the device you have to unlock it
02:17using Touch ID. So the button is built right into the power button on the right
02:20side here which is not bad but I would actually prefer Face ID. So what about
02:24battery life? There's a dual battery system in the iPhone Duo and it's rated to
02:29last 31 hours for the main display and 44 hours on the outside display. Let us know
02:35if you want us to follow up on the battery life because we can't wait to run our
02:38battery test on this thing. There's a couple other things that I need to run you
02:41through. One is the fact that this is a fully durable foldable phone and the fact
02:46that it's IP68 rated which means it's protected against both water and dust
02:50unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and unlike the Fold 8 you're also going to
02:55get Apple Pencil support that'll be there saying coming later this year. So even
03:00though it's not something I would personally use and there's nowhere to
03:02store it, it's nice to know that you're going to have that versatility. In terms of
03:07specs and performance we're looking at an A20 processor chip. It's going to start
03:11with 256 gigs of storage and the starting price is $19.99 so $100 more than the Galaxy
03:18Z Fold 8 but $100 less than the Fold 8 Ultra so it's right in between. So far I'm
03:24impressed with the design of the iPhone Duo but also I'm impressed with the
03:29software experience and what they've really thought through in terms of how
03:33people are going to use the foldable phone. I wish it was a little bit thinner, a
03:37I think Samsung wins there but I think in terms of just the usability of a foldable
03:41phone this could be leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. But I still have
