00:04So starting with the front display, it's 5.4 inches, but when you open up this thing,
00:09you can see that there's barely a crease.
00:11So you might be able to see it, but you can't feel it.
00:15It's also like a nanotexture on top of this display,
00:18so you can barely even tell that it's a vulnerable phone.
00:22It's definitely on the smaller side than I thought it would be.
00:24This is 7.6 inches when open, 5.4 inches when closed.
00:28But just look at how seamless the transition is from phone to basically iPad mini
00:35when you open the device.
00:37And they've really thought through the software, starting with how apps are redesigned.
00:42So if I'm getting something like messages for other apps,
00:45everything is on the right hand of the public display, so it's easier to use.
00:50Multitasking is also pretty intuitive.
00:52You can't do three apps at once, as you can on the Samsung,
00:54but it's pretty easy to open two apps side-by-side,
00:59and you can see how it, like, fills in there,
01:01and then it's your choice what else you want to put up.
01:03So if I wanted to go into photos, I could do that and then drag stuff over.
01:07So it's pretty intuitive to use as a portable phone.
01:10The other thing is that I'm pretty impressed with,
01:12in terms of the software experience, is how they're optimizing apps.
01:15So Netflix is a really good example.
01:18So if I go into Netflix, you can see that there's no black bars as you're watching content,
01:24which is really nice.
01:25But we'll have to see how YouTube and other apps actually work.
01:28And dual-pane apps are also going to be in effect here.
01:31So Slack will have, like, your rooms on the left-hand side,
01:34and your messages will be on the right.
01:36Something that's not there right now with the full date.
01:39In terms of the camera experience, you have two 48 megapixel cameras on the back.
01:43So you're not getting a telephoto, which is a little bit of a bummer.
01:46But one thing I too like, in terms of the cameras,
01:49is that when you're using the FaceTime camera on the inside,
01:52it's only visible when you're using it.
01:54They've done a really good job of hiding this camera here.
01:57So if I wanted to use the camera from the front,
02:02you can see that only then does the camera appear.
02:07In terms of specs and performance, we're looking at an A20 processor chip.
02:11It's going to start with 256-gigit storage.
02:17And the starting price is $19.99.
02:19So $100 more than the Galaxy Z Fold 8,
02:23but $100 less than the Fold 8 Ultra.
02:25So it's right in between.
02:26So, so far, I'm impressed with the design of the iPhone Duo.
02:30But also, I'm impressed with the software experience
02:33and what they really thought through
02:35in terms of how people are going to use the foldable phone.
02:37And that includes using something like that Fold 8 doesn't have,
02:42which is the ability to articulate the hinge in different directions
02:45and have a different software experience
02:47depending on how the phone is being positioned right now.
