00:00Takemi is a disgusting loser who accidentally got yeeted into an ice guy by a lousy god.
00:04So to make up for it, he spawned in with insane wind magic and eventually stumbles upon a pair
00:08of overpowered twins. And after spending time with them, he becomes their foster daddy. A god
00:13named Syl accidentally squashes him like a bug during a cosmic repair job. So as an apology,
00:17Syl sends him to a world called Ateldia. Takemi now finds himself in this strange world and,
00:22and while wandering around, the first thing he stumbles is a pair of tiny twins with no
00:26parents in sight. He can't stand the thought of leaving them there. So he sticks around.
00:29At first the kids think he's Diddy 2.0 and look scared, but the moment Takemi pulls food out of
00:34his storage, their suspicion left faster than my dad did. Their clothes are basically rags. So he
00:38digs out two spare children's outfits, then checks their status and learns they can't talk and don't
00:43have names. Takemi, who clearly has zero experience naming kids, picks Alan and Elena and he plans to
00:48walk them to the nearest town. What he doesn't plan for is how ridiculously overpowered those two are,
00:53taking monsters down in mere seconds. Soon they leave the forest and reach the town,
00:56where the guards give Takemi the stink eye because they think he was diddling the kids in the forest.
01:00The forest is rated for high-level adventurers only, and here's a grown-ass man with two kids
01:05strolling out of it. So Takemi invents a story about picking herbs near the edge to calm everybody
01:09down. The red-headed guard takes them aside to check their criminal status, and thanks to the
01:13crystal ball test showing no criminal records, they get temporary identities and finally walk in.
01:17Takemi's first stop is the church, since he suspects the whole mess with the twins was arranged by
01:22Syl on purpose. When Takemi prays to him, Syl answers and admits those kids are insanely overpowered and
01:27were deliberately planted in his life, but doesn't say more than that. Hearing that, Takemi can guess
01:31that a few other gods are tangled up in this too. After a night at the inn, Takemi wakes up
01:35the next
01:35morning and is shocked when the twins greet him. In a good mood, he heads to the adventurers guild,
01:39and since there's no age limit for signing up, he registers the twins as well, and their cards double
01:43as identity documents. Ranks in this world run from F all the way up to S, with an SS tier
01:48above that
01:48which nobody currently holds. Luna, the receptionist, suggests forming a party, and Takemi's names it
01:53White Wings. Their first job is a simple herb gathering quest, and it turns out the twins have
01:57some kind of built-in sensing talent, so they collect a mountain of herbs and finish a three-day
02:01task in half a day, surprising Luna. Then a bald man barges in and says this place is no nursery,
02:06and tells the twins to get the hell out of there. The twins answer by knocking him flat before he
02:10can
02:10finish complaining. The red-headed guard walks in right then, curious about who these people are,
02:14and when he learns Takemi came out of the monster forest, he's left in total shock.
02:18He introduces himself as Grand Vault, and seeing how attached the kids are to Takemi,
02:22he officially lets him adopt them. He can also tell how skilled Takemi is, so he asks him to help
02:26hunt monsters in the forest, since letting them multiply would put the town in danger.
02:30Takemi has no way out, so he agrees. With his first paycheck, he buys a loaf of local bread for
02:35breakfast, and it reminds him of the sweet and savory breads he used to grab at his local Walmart.
02:39So he decides to make his own, and the crew heads to a bakery where he pulls out jam and
02:43custard
02:43and asks the owner to bake them inside the dough. The owner has never heard of such a thing,
02:47so Takemi activates his apron like chef, flattens the dough, drops jam in the middle,
02:52and shows him how simple it is. With everybody pitching in, different filled breads soon come
02:56out of the oven, and the flavor is almost too good to handle. Road wants to sell them in his
02:59shop,
03:00even names one after Takemi and offers him a share of the profits. But Takemi doesn't want all that,
03:04for him, just being able to buy the treats again is good enough. By the next day, their rank jumps
03:08to E,
03:09which opens up more jobs, and Luna mentions they could try a labyrinth. Takemi already knows the world
03:13holds 108 of them, and by coincidence, there's a 15-floor underground one close by, the perfect
03:18place for adventurers to hunt treasure. Thanks to the twins' insane sensing skills, they never get
03:23lost, and Takemi finds the entrance without a map. While he's reading up on strategies, an ugly mole
03:27monster pops out, and the twins delete it in the blink of an eye. They hope for something expensive
03:31to drop, but after a long search they only find one cheap mole whisker. They move on to the next
03:35floor,
03:36then stop for a big meal and sleep inside a barrier Takemi sets up. Day after day they fight,
03:40eat, and rest until, after two and a half days, they reach the 10th floor. Their Takemi discovers
03:44a hidden mechanism, and inside is a treasure chest. He's wary of traps, but his senses find
03:49nothing dangerous, so he opens it and finds two potions, one restoring stamina and one restoring
03:54magic. Suddenly, a monster appears behind them, and the twins kick it dead instantly,
03:57and this time it drops the fur of a wild gorilla. Takemi doesn't want to hide behind two children
04:02forever, since he's a guy with his own broken skills, so he decides to show off how much of a
04:06Giga chat he is. Right on cue, a clay snake slithers in, and Takemi easily takes it down,
04:10using a rock alongside his wind cutter skill. Then a swarm of giant bees shows up. They aren't
04:15poisonous, but their stingers are still a hazard, and no matter what attack they try, the bees are
04:19too agile. The twins decide chasing them is great fun, so Takemi uses the moment to sort loot. Soon
04:24the kids get serious, finish off the first bee in a few moves, and torment the rest, and this time
04:28the
04:28drop is honey, which sells high in this country. When lunch comes, Takemi has an idea and makes
04:33French honey toast from bread, but the smell pulls in bee after bee, a wave of free loot nobody's
04:37going to refuse, so they keep harvesting honey to sell. At last, they reach the 15th and lowest
04:44floor, obviously the boss room, and it looks like they can't leave without beating it. They enter
04:48and meet a giant worm, so Takemi steps up himself. He tests it with a wind blade, but the worm
04:52dodges
04:53and even fires magical attacks back, which is what you'd expect from a final boss. Takemi answers with
04:57an air bullet, and somehow two or three moves later the boss is dead, which he can only blame on
05:02the
05:02cheap plug-in Sil gave him. They collect loot, though Takemi has no desire to eat worm meat,
05:06and a door slowly opens on a teleporter back to the first floor, and a treasure chest holding grenades,
05:11ones that blow up when filled with magic and are dangerous as hell. They touch the crystal ball,
05:15clear the labyrinth, and return to the surface. There they meet a dog, or more precisely a wolf,
05:19but its behavior looks more like a pet's. Takemi identifies it and finds it's a contracted beast,
05:24an S-class Fenrir with his name on it, which is clearly another of Sil's schemes. He and the twins
05:28decide to name her Jewel, and after that, he lets it hide in his shadow so nobody gets scared,
05:32and he can call it out when needed. Back at the church, when Takemi talks about his encounter
05:36with Jewel, Sil claims that even though he wanted to hand out cheats himself, somebody beat him to it,
05:40hinting it was the head of the water god's followers. Since the twins' skills lean toward water magic,
05:45they must carry the water god's blessing, and if they refuse the divine gifts, they'd suffer divine
05:49punishment. The next morning, Takemi goes outside and cannot believe what he sees. A big ass sky
05:53tiger and a fearsome spirit hawk stand right in front of him, waiting. Sil had sent these two
05:58legendary creatures down as an extra gift, meant to make Takemi's group even more overpowered.
06:02Takemi opens his status screen to check them properly, and what he finds leaves him stunned.
06:06Their base numbers are off the charts, and the white tiger alone counts as a top-tier S-ranked beast.
06:11Alan and Elena fall for the fluffy animals right away and beg to keep them. Takemi smiles and agrees,
06:15giving the big tiger the name Feet and calling the sharp-eyed Hawk Bolt. To stop people from panicking
06:20near the city gates, Takemi uses his taming spell to shrink Feet and their first fox friend, Jewel,
06:25down into two small, cute puppy shapes that can walk through the crowd without drawing eyes.
06:29To finish the surprise, Takemi thinks about giving the twins collars, but immediately changes his
06:33mind because the guards might get the wrong idea. So hands the twins two magic storage pouches along
06:37with matching pendants to keep their treasures safe, and the kids are thrilled beyond words.
06:41Once they pass through the gate, the twins pull Takemi straight toward a busy toy store.
06:45Since most of the shelves hold dresses and hair pieces meant for girls, Elena has a wonderful time
06:49shopping and picks out two pretty ribbons for her hair. Takemi then asks Alan if he would
06:54like a toy too. But the kid just shakes his head firmly. He wants nothing to do with girly items.
06:58Noticing the tension, the shopkeeper comes out from the back room and shows them a set of fine
07:02outfits made just for young children. The twins put them on and suddenly look like tiny fashion models.
07:06So a happy Takemi buys the whole set. That night, Takemi quietly plans to find a strong,
07:11exciting item for Alan the next day so he does not feel left out. But the moment they step outside
07:15the
07:15next morning, Grandvault stops them in their path. He is not walking alone, beside him stands Captain
07:20Rissner, a senior officer who has come for an urgent talk. The twins duck behind Takemi,
07:24still wary of guards after everything they have been through. Captain Rissner wastes no time and
07:28orders Takemi to join his guild's raid group on a dangerous mission deep inside the Gaia Forest to
07:32clear out a monster outbreak. Takemi agrees, but only on one condition, that his two young fighters come
07:37along too. Rissner accepts, and the group heads into the jungle to meet the rest of the raid team.
07:41The squad is full of skilled fighters, led by a capable young man named Rudolph, along with her
07:46strong teammates Iris, Glim, and Zack. Once inside the deep zone, Glim uses his tracking spell and
07:51picks up a strange mana signal nearby. Suddenly a huge, growling red wolf bursts out from the bushes
07:56to attack the group, before the seasoned fighters can even reach for their weapons. Alan and Elena
08:00make quick work of the red wolves, leaving the raid team standing frozen with shock, unable to grasp
08:04how two toddlers just wiped out and see rank threat in a single move. Vault, filled with frustration,
08:09grabs Takemi and demands to know who these two children really are. Takemi calmly says he found
08:14them stranded in this same forest, which only confuses the veterans even more. To keep their
08:18secrets safe, Takemi tells the kids firmly to stay back and let the grown fighters take the lead.
08:22Bored of waiting around, the twins find something new to do, using their sharp senses to search for
08:27rare, high-value herbs hidden beneath the plants. Their skill is so great that they end up collecting
08:31a huge pile of valuable materials, leaving Captain Rissner completely stunned. Vault, who knows nothing
08:36about plants, fails to recognize the herbs, which pushes an annoyed Rissner into a long speech right
08:41there in the forest, scolding him like a child. Hoping to save Vault from more lecturing, the twins
08:45hand the rare herbs over to Rissner, which finally shuts him up and lets the group continue walking.
08:50Suddenly, a strange rustling fills the trees as a large pack of wild goblins charges out to ambush
08:54them. Before the fighters can set up any defense, Takemi steps forward, crawls on his powerful magic,
08:59and wipes out a few monsters alongside the help of the other veterans. After that, Vault demands to know
09:04how a rookie like Takemi just one-tapped those ogres. Then he orders his men to contact the guild
09:08master to raise Takemi's rank because there's no way this guy is F-rank. Before they can even catch
09:13their breath, they spot a smoke flare and can tell another group of adventurers are being attacked
09:16nearby, while the others run on foot. Takemi grabs the twins, activates his speed spell, and rushes
09:21toward the sound. They arrive to find a large pack of red wolves closing in around a group of injured
09:26humans. Takemi does not hesitate. He gathers his mana, forms a really cool-looking katana, and cuts
09:30through the wolf pack with some help from the kids. By the time Vault and the rest of the team
09:34catch up,
09:34the entire wolf pack has been reduced to ash. Vault stands frozen in disbelief, realizing that this
09:39Takemi guy might truly be something far beyond human, and showers him with praise. But the
09:43celebration does not last long. In that same instant, Takemi feels a chill run down his back,
09:48a clear sign of danger. Both he and the twins sense that something hostile is watching them closely
09:52from the shadows. Takemi pulls the twins in close for protection and stares hard into the dark trees,
09:57unaware that a creepy guy in a cloak is secretly watching them. That night, Takemi cringes as he
10:01realizes the knights are absolute dogshit when it comes to cooking. With them tossing dirty chunks
10:05of meat into a pot seasoned only with salt, Vault brushes off his concern, saying knights don't
10:10belong in the kitchen. When Takemi asks Iris to help, another adventurer says he would rather starve
10:14than eat her food, and the group laughs, unwilling to let the twins eat that slop. Takemi steps in,
10:19uses wild vegetables, has the meat cut smaller, and makes a proper broth. The meal turns out great,
10:24and everyone thanks him warmly. The next morning, he is asked to cook breakfast too, but before he even can,
10:28he senses the same hostile stare from before and calms the twins, who have grown nervous.
10:32As they continue, Vault tells Rudolph the forest feels wrong. Then the night captain they saved
10:37earlier, Tierra, thanks Takemi and asks to keep moving. He and Vault note that yesterday they met
10:41strong monsters near the forest's edge, yet today, deeper in, nothing has appeared. Distracted by this,
10:46and by the lingering watching sensation, Takemi almost misses a real threat until Alan and Elena
10:50spot a massive snake above them. Takemi warns everyone, and Vault identifies it as the evil serpent.
10:55Ordering a retreat, the serpent blocks their escape and strikes the knights to pin them down.
10:59Takemi tells the twins to stay back as he fires a wind cutter, which the serpent dodges,
11:03before Vault traps it briefly with stone spikes. Rudolph realizes this creature caused all the
11:08forest's strange anomalies and has the wounded moved to safety under Rizner's care. Rudolph's team
11:12attacks, but their weapons cannot pierce the serpent's scales, and its tail sweeps down several knights.
11:17When it turns toward the wounded, Takemi fells a tree onto it with another wind blade and tells
11:21Rizner to move everyone further back. Two adventurers combine fire and light spells,
11:25but even a large blast leaves the serpent unharmed. As it prepares to strike again,
11:29Takemi sees the twins clinging to its body in panics. Quickly yeets a summoned blade into its eye.
11:34Wounded, the serpent wails, and Takemi believes they are safe, until the hostile aura returns and
11:38distracts the twins long enough for the serpent to knock them away with its tail. Though they seem unharmed,
11:43Takemi looks shaken and asks Rudolph to buy him time, saying he intends to try an advanced wind spell
11:48he has never used before. Rudolph agrees to trust him and prepares the retreat. While Rudolph and the
11:52others keep the serpent occupied, Takemi channels his magic into a sphere. Unsure how much power the
11:57spell truly needs, he gives the signal, everyone retreats, and he unleashes Wind Edge, slicing the
12:02serpent apart in one stroke. Stunned by his own victory, he realizes the blast was so strong it
12:06also cut down nearby trees, forcing everyone to scatter. Rudolph, more unsettled than impressed,
12:11reminds him to collect the serpent's valuable blood before it is lost. The twins rush over to praise him,
12:16and he hugs them, relieved they are fine, while Alan and Elena happily play among the fallen trees.
12:20Then the hostile presence returns, and this time Takemi identifies its source. He confronts a knight
12:24named Sage, pinning him down, and demanding answers. Sage denies knowing anything about the
12:29precincts until Rudolph confirms he has been staring strangely at Takemi and the twins the entire trip.
12:34Cornered, Sage blurts out that it is Takemi's fault for stealing Vault's attention. Ristner explains that
12:38Sage is part of the fruity community and is Loki in love with Vault. Takemi asks Vault if he likes
12:43men too,
12:43but Vault denies it, saying he prefers thick goth baddies, but Sage begs for a chance anyway.
12:48The matter is resolved when Vault and Ristner apologize and promise to handle Sage themselves,
12:52with Takemi warning he will not tolerate another incident. Afterward, the group asks Takemi to
12:56cook again, and though wary of the knights, he agrees since the twins want to eat together with
13:00everyone. While eating, he checks his stats and finds he has grown much stronger from the battle.
13:04Vault apologizes once more and announces the expedition will end early due to the injuries,
13:09telling Takemi to collect his reward at the guild the next day. At the guild, Luna excitedly brings
13:13Takemi to Guildmaster Johan, who has received strong recommendations from Rudolph and
13:17Vault to raise his rank. Johan admits Takemi's achievements deserve an S rank, but settles on
13:21a rank instead, which Takemi accepts gladly. Johan then asks about the twins, since raising
13:26their rank could draw dangerous attention, but keeping them too low would limit the party's overall
13:30standing. Takemi suggests raising them to D rank, bringing the party to C rank overall,
13:34and Johan agrees, sending Luna to update the paperwork. While processing their records,
13:39Luna discovers they have already cleared a dungeon, setting a new record, and wants to announce it,
13:43but Takemi asks her to keep it quiet to protect the twins from unwanted attention. She agrees and
13:47hands over their reward. Before Takemi leaves, Luna brings up the rare materials from the evil snake
13:52and the blood wolves, revealing she has already arranged a private warehouse for the trade.
13:56Takemi keeps a small portion for himself and sells the rest, including one-thirds of the serpent's
14:00remains, along with the other materials collected during the trip. Watching Luna's excited reaction,
14:04the twins look a little nervous, but the exchange goes smoothly. Exhausted from the entire expedition,
14:08Takemi returns to their inn and falls asleep almost instantly, with the twins and his contracted
14:13monsters watching quietly over him. Soon after, Takemi gives the twins a quick math lesson. Once
14:18they can count to ten, he explains that a large copper coin is worth ten small copper coins,
14:22and a silver coin is worth ten large copper coins. He gives them a simple problem combining coins,
14:27and they solve it correctly. Enjoying the challenge, they ask for more, and he moves on to addition,
14:31which they pick up just as fast. Takemi feels like a proud foster daddy and decides to reward them
14:35with a shopping spree. At a fruit stall, the twins buy fruit on their own and hand over the exact
14:40amount, earning praise from the shopkeeper, who also compliments Takemi on how well he has taught
14:44them. Proud of themselves, the twins happily continue on. Takemi stores the fruit away and
14:48takes them to a bookstore next. While he searches for a book on water magic, the twins grow curious
14:52about letters and words, and he offers to teach them to read. Then some old hag walks up to them
14:57and
14:57offers them some picture books made for children, while she praises Takemi for raising them so well,
15:01leaving him a little embarrassed. The next day, they take on a guild quest to find a missing cat,
15:06with two days to complete it. Takemi summons his shrunken monsters to help search,
15:09but despite covering several areas, they cannot find her, and the twins grow discouraged. Even so,
15:14when asked if they want to give up, they refuse. Following their instincts,
15:17they eventually track the cat, a black cat named Mina, to a hiding spot. The twins approach slowly
15:22and use their feather pendants to coax her out, and Takemi confirms her identity from her collar.
15:26After feeding the hungry cat some milk, they return her to her grateful owner,
15:29who thanks them warmly. Watching the reunion leaves the twins oddly moved, and when Takemi says
15:33it is time to go home, they beg to keep helping instead. Checking with Luna, he learns the only
15:38other quest available is a difficult one, clearing goblins attacking a nearby village,
15:42a job most higher ranked adventurers avoid due to low pay and risk. When Takemi asks the twins
15:46if they are willing to hunt goblins, their first question is whether goblins taste good,
15:50and he tells them not to even think about it. Riding their fully manifested monsters,
15:54they arrive at the village, where wary guards soften once they learn the group is from the guild.
15:57The village chief, relieved they came, is surprised to learn only three of them showed
16:01up until Takemi shows his a rank card, so he can tell this guy has skills. Before they can discuss
16:06details, a guard rushes in warning of an attack. As goblins chase villagers, Takemi kills one with a
16:11burst of wind just before it can strike a fallen woman, then helps her flee. The twins join the
16:15fight eagerly, punching and kicking goblins while their familiars bite, slash, and shock the rest.
16:19When a larger goblin soldier appears, the twins take it down together before Takemi can even step in,
16:24and he can only watch like the proud foster daddy he is. Afterward, he suddenly hears an unfamiliar
16:28voice in his head. It turns out Joule has gained the ability to speak to him telepathically after
16:33the battle. Joule wants to call him master, but Takemi refuses the title, and the twins suggest he
16:37be called Taku for short, an idea Joule likes immediately. Soon Feet and Bolt gain the same
16:41ability, and both agree to the new name as well. With Takemi learning that Feet is female while
16:46Joule and Bolt are male, the monsters promise to get along better with the twins from now on.
16:50Delighted that the two have already been teaching them words. As everyone celebrates, the pets ask
16:54for praise too, and Takemi happily agrees. Just then, the twins sense a fire nearby,
16:58and Bolt flies off to check it. Wanting to help, Takemi tries using water magic. He studied the night
17:03before, but his first spell is absolutely useless. He tries again with more power, but it fails the same
17:08way. Frustrated, he lets Joule handle it instead, who puts out the fire instantly with a simple water
17:12attack. Though disappointed in himself, Takemi is comforted when the twins gently pat his head.
17:16They collect their reward at the guild and head home, expecting the twins to be worn out,
17:20but they are still full of energy and ask for a bedtime story. When Takemi tries explaining
17:24different sea creatures, he realizes the twins have never even seen the ocean,
17:28and decides then that he should take them to see it himself. Three days later,
17:31he informs Bolt and Fistner that he plans to leave the city to show the twins more of the world,
17:35telling them he intends to visit the coastal city of Bailey South.
17:38Bolt is relieved to hear he is staying within the kingdom, in case his help is needed again.
17:42The next day, Takemi and the twins say goodbye to everyone who has helped them.
17:45Luna grows emotional at the news, though her main concern turns out to be making sure he
17:49returns with more rare materials. They visit the baker and his daughter, placing an order for bread
17:53to bring on their travels, including his favorite cream and red bean buns along with a few new
17:57flavors. At the clothing shop, the owner gifts the twins new summer outfits for free. Finally,
18:02Takemi visits Syl at the church, who is a little hurt he has not visited in a while,
18:06and tells him about the move, promising to stay in touch through the temple. But just as they
18:09prepare to leave the city, a beer-bellied chud steps forward, claiming the twins as his property.
18:13The moment stirs a painful memory for Alan and Elena, the day their transport was attacked,
18:18and this same man threw them both outside to distract the monsters and save himself.
18:21Terrified all over again, the twins cling to their daddy. Takemi uses his appraisal skill
18:26and confirms the fatso is a slave trader. The guy begins shouting, and Alan and Elena shrink back
18:30in fear, but Takemi calms them with a reassuring pat and tells the trader they are his siblings,
18:35warning him not to speak to them so rudely. The trader insists he cannot be mistaken,
18:39claiming the twins are too distinctive to forget. Piecing it together, Takemi realizes,
18:42this is the same guy who threw the twins from the carriage as bait, so he could escape the monsters.
18:47Though slavery is legal in this kingdom, slaves are marked with a magical seal to show their
18:51status, and the twins carry no such mark, refusing to let them be taken. Takemi tells
18:55the man to cut the crap, and when he keeps pushing, Takemi is this close to beating his
18:58fat ass, but he holds himself back, considering the safety of the twins. City guards soon arrive,
19:03and the trader tries to have Takemi arrested for stealing his property. Takemi calmly points out
19:07that the twins bear no slave mark, and that the man has no real proof of ownership,
19:11then accuses him of attempting to kidnap them using a false claim. As the trader panics,
19:15Vault and Risni arrive, and, after hearing everything, have the man arrested instead,
19:19even vouching that the twins are truly Takemi's siblings so they can never be branded again.
19:23Relieved, Takemi assures the twins no one will ever take them from him,
19:26and they run into their daddy's arms. With the matter settled, it is finally time to leave the
19:30city. Risner hands him a letter of introduction to the Lord of Bailey South in case of trouble.
19:34The twins remain quiet and downcast as they travel, so Takemi brings out his pets to lift their
19:38spirits. Seeing the animals briefly cheers them up, though the sadness soon returns,
19:42they continue on, riding atop feet and jewel, while Bolt scouts from above.
19:45When a blood bear appears, the three contracted beasts ask to handle it themselves,
19:49with Bolt blinding it and the other two finishing it in a single strike.
19:52Another bear shows up shortly after and falls just as easily. The twins happily pet their partners,
19:57though Takemi stops them from being licked until he cleans the monster's mouths with a quick spell.
20:01Playing together afterward helps the twins fully shake off their gloom,
20:04and the group makes it through the forest without further trouble. That night, Takemi cooks a big
20:08batch of egg fried rice for everyone, including the pets, and they share a peaceful meal before
20:12resting inside a protective barrier. Staring up at the twin moons, Takemi reflects once more on how
20:17strange and wondrous this world still feels before drifting off to sleep. The next morning,
20:21they reach the coast, and the twins are awestruck by the endless ocean. Running straight into the
20:25waves, Takemi warns them the water is salty, but their curiosity wins out, and after tasting it
20:29themselves, they immediately regret it. While they play with the pets, Takemi watches the calm sea
20:33until a voice calls out to him. Spotting a girl in the water, he assumes she is drowning and rushes
20:38to help, but she turns out to be a hot mermaid instead. She greets him by name, leaving him stunned,
20:42and introduces herself as a mermaid named Milena. Her status confirms she is telling the truth,
20:47and she explains that a servant of the water god told her about him, the same mysterious figure
20:50who had sent him gifts before. The twins arrive too, and Milena already knows their names as well,
20:55though they eye her nervously. Milena explains that her village is in trouble,
20:58and the water god's servant said Takemi could help. She asks him to come with her, but he panics,
21:02admitting he cannot breathe underwater and, more importantly, does not know how to swim.
21:06He briefly wonders if his boosted stats in this world might make it possible,
21:09and assumes the twins will pick it up instantly. Milena eases his worry by sliding him three
21:14enchanted bracelets that let humans breathe underwater. He agrees to visit, though he warns
21:18her he may not be able to fix whatever problem they're facing. She tells him not to worry and urges
21:22him to hurry. After sending his pets into his shadow and fitting the bracelets on the twins,
21:26they dive in, and Takemi finds he can breathe and speak underwater. The twins swim with natural
21:30ease right away, but his own attempt is absolutely terrible, flailing helplessly until he crashes
21:35straight into Milena. He takes a look at her mermaid tail and is marveled, but he quickly shakes it off
21:39as she leads them toward her village. Along the way, Milena warns him about local dangers like
21:43hammerhead sharks and sand crabs, and sure enough a shark soon attacks. The twins rush in and defeat it
21:48in a single kick, then take down a sand crab just as easily by slamming its claws against a rock.
21:53Milena is stunned by their strength, and Takemi realizes the water gives them no disadvantage
21:57at all. They pass through a hidden barrier and arrive at the mermaid village, a breathtaking
22:01place built from crystallized ocean energy. Before entering properly, Milena shows him the real issue,
22:06a massive sunken ship blocking the cave where their coral grows. Despite their efforts,
22:10the mermaids could never move it, until their priestess heard the same voice mentioning Takemi.
22:14Realizing he can simply store the ship in his inventory, he does so instantly, learning its name is
22:18Dylan. The relieved mermaids gather around as Milena explains that the coral is essential for
22:23their medicine. Without it, the village could not survive. Grateful, she leads Takemi and the twins
22:27to meet the high priestess. As Milena knocks and announces their arrival, the door opens to reveal
22:31a cute mermaid welcoming them warmly inside. Takemi nearly busts realizing how hot the priestess is,
22:36and even the twins agree she's fine as hell. He greets her nervously, but she insists there's no need
22:41for formality, telling him it is she who feels honored to meet him. She explains that the water god's
22:45servant had already called him a savior, and Milena adds that he has already solved the problem of the
22:49sunken ship. Delighted, the priestess declares him the savior of the mermaids as well, though Takemi
22:54remains confused about what exactly the servant had told her. When he asks nervously, she assures him
22:58he has nothing to worry about, and only she, Milena, and an elderly merman know the full truth,
23:03which they intend to keep quiet. She then leans in close, saying she has heard many wonderful things
23:07about him, making him visibly uncomfortable, until an old bag named Galdo gently reminds her to
23:12respect their guest's space. Slightly embarrassed, she introduces Galdo as the actual chief of the
23:16mermaids, admitting that although she holds the title of High Priestess, her role is mostly ceremonial.
23:20After briefly sulking about her lack of real duties, she brightens again and insists on
23:24rewarding Takemi. He tries to refuse, but remembering his earlier struggles with water magic, he instead
23:29asks if she could help him and the twins learn it properly. Galdo offers to personally teach them,
23:34and the priestess declares she will still give Takemi a separate reward, refusing to back down
23:38despite his protest. With a suggestion from Milena, the priestess leads him to what turns
23:41out to be the mermaid's garbage dump, filled with miscellaneous items from the ocean floor.
23:45Using his appraisal skill, Takemi discovers seaweed useful for treating fevers,
23:49shells that can be ground into cleaning powder, shark bones suited for weapon crafting, and more,
23:54while the twins excitedly find a pile of large pearls, stunned by the value hidden in what the
23:58mermaids consider worthless junk. Takemi listens, as the priestess apologizes for offering him trash,
24:03clarifying that the pearls are just stones they occasionally find in the shellfish they eat.
24:07Understanding her perspective, he happily accepts the entire pile as his reward and stores it away.
24:11That night, he and the twins stay as honored guests in the palace,
24:14enjoying full mermaid hospitality. In their room, the twins watch the colorful sea life through the
24:19windows, initially wanting to fight the fish out of habit, but Takemi gently teaches them to simply
24:23observe instead. The next day, Galdo begins their water magic lessons on a small island,
24:27explaining that magic generally works in two ways, either controlling elements that already exist,
24:32like wind or earth, or conjuring new ones, like fire and water. He demonstrates
24:35by creating a small flame and notes that since water is plentiful here, Takemi should have no
24:40trouble using it freely. Sure enough, Takemi successfully performs a water pillar spell.
24:44Galdo then teaches the twins to sense the flow of their own mana, something new even for Takemi,
24:48who has always cast spells instinctively through Sil's blessing rather than truly feeling the process.
24:53Once everyone senses their mana, Galdo demonstrates forming a water ball,
24:57and to everyone's shock, the twins succeed on their very first attempt, a feat that normally takes talented
25:01mermaids an entire day to master. When Takemi tries launching a proper water ball,
25:05he shatters a nearby rock with ease, and the twins mimic their daddy right away,
25:09blasting the top off another rock entirely. Galdo and the priestess are left stunned by the twins'
25:13natural talent. The group eventually heads back to the village, but Takemi and the twins stay behind
25:17to keep practicing. Suddenly, the twins grow frightened and cling to Takemi as something massive
25:22stirs in the distance. A big-ass pillar of water bursts from the ocean, catching them off guard.
25:26Meanwhile, in the Divine Realm, Sil is busy scolding Maya, the water god's servant,
25:30for meddling in Takemi's journey without permission, even though he understands the
25:33mermaids were truly desperate. After a flustered apology from Maya, Sil tries to calm himself with
25:37tea, only to spiral through a mix of blaming the water god's carelessness and blaming himself for
25:42pulling Takemi into this world in the first place. Amid his rambling, his own servant notices Takemi is
25:47in distress and alerts him. Back on the island, the water pillar reveals a massive sea dragon. Though the
25:51twins tremble in fear, the dragon shows no hostility, instead remarking that the strange presence
25:56Takemi sensed earlier belonged to the wind god's servant. Speaking telepathically,
26:00the dragon then reveals that the twins are the water god's own children, explaining he was
26:03originally tasked with protecting them from birth but could never approach land without causing chaos.
26:08Grateful that Takemi stepped in where he could not, the dragon offers his aid whenever needed
26:12and asks to be given a name. Takemi names him Kaiser, forming a loose bond between them. Noticing
26:16how close the twins seem to Takemi, Kaiser suddenly suggests that Alan and Elena come live with him
26:21instead, claiming he could protect them better. The twins immediately cling tighter to their daddy,
26:25refusing even when Kaiser offers future visits, and Takemi vows to protect them no matter how
26:29much weaker he may be compared to a dragon. Satisfied, Kaiser admits he was only testing
26:33their bond and rewards Takemi's resolve with knowledge instead, offering to share insight
26:37from his long life whenever Takemi reaches out telepathically. He also gives him a scale
26:41that lets Kaiser track his location and rush to help in emergencies. Before returning,
26:46Kaiser carries them back to the mermaid village on his back, gliding past shimmering schools of fish
26:50and drifting marine snow, leaving the twins in awe. Watching them, Takemi silently renews his promise
26:55to grow strong enough to truly protect them himself. Once Kaiser sets them down and departs,
26:59the twins simply grab his hands and declare they are hungry and need some food. Back at the mermaid
27:04palace, the twins excitedly tell the priestess and Milena that they rode home on Kaiser,
27:08though Takemi quickly softens the truth, calling him a random fish to avoid confusion. The twins gush
27:12about the sparkling snow they saw along the way, and the mermaids agree it was a rare and beautiful
27:17sight. The priestess urges Takemi to rest, but he explains he already plans to leave,
27:21and though she and Milena try to convince him to stay longer, they understand he has other matters
27:25to attend to. Before departing, the priestess gifts him a packed lunch, so Takemi and the twins head
27:29back toward the surface. Along the way, the twins take down a monster crab like it's nothing, and Takemi
27:34smiles because he knows what they're having for dinner now. They continue swimming until they stumble
27:38upon the entrance to a dungeon. Too curious to wait, they dash inside before Takemi can stop them,
27:43leaving him no choice but to follow. Inside, they find a dry chamber with a teleportation
27:46device, and Takemi realizes this marks the start of the dungeon. After checking its details,
27:51he learns it is Sazanami, the 53rd Labyrinth, a mid-level site with 30 floors and teleporters
27:55placed every 10 levels. When he asks the twins what they want to do, they answer instantly that
27:59they want to go in. Assured they aren't tired, Takemi decides they'll explore down to the 10th floor
28:04before heading back to the city, and after a quick lunch, they begin. They soon run into poisonous frog
28:08monsters. Takemi drops one with a burst of wind magic, while the twins' water balls are weak as hell,
28:13letting the frogs escape at first. Disheartened but encouraged to try again,
28:16they succeed on their second attempt and collect the loot before pressing forward. Noticing something
28:20odd about a nearby wall, they discover a hidden chamber filled with clam-shaped treasure chests,
28:25each one packed with seafood, from red prawns to dried fish, delighting Takemi as he stores it all
28:29away. Reaching the entrance to the sixth floor, he calls it a day, cooking a hot pot from the crab
28:33and treasure hall before they rest safely inside their barrier tent. The next morning, they face a clam
28:38monster on the sixth floor, warned about its shockwave attack. The twins strike from a distance with
28:42water balls and take it down in one hit, celebrating as they rush ahead. Checking their stats, Takemi is
28:47stunned to see they've already reached level 25. And even more surprising, their status windows now
28:52openly reveal them as children of the water god. He wonders whether this is simply because he already
28:56knows the truth, or because his appraisal skill has grown stronger. Either way, it worries him that
29:01he's only level 27 himself, meaning the twins could soon surpass their old man. Their attention quickly
29:05shifts when they find a mysterious item, a party popper, which startles them badly when it goes off with a
29:10bang.
29:10After that, they use their water ball on the next monster they meet, which also drops one,
29:14and Takemi decides to keep it stored away just in case. They eventually reach the tenth floor's
29:18mini boss chamber, a large pond crossed by an unstable bridge, while the twins play carelessly
29:23along it. Takemi struggles to keep his footing and asks them to slow down. Suddenly, a monster eel
29:28bursts from the water, which he cuts down instantly, only for several more to follow. Together, the three
29:32of them fight off the entire swarm in a drawn-out battle that leaves Takemi thoroughly exhausted,
29:36though the twins declare the room finally clear. A staircase appears,
29:39the loot drops in, including fairy stones, arrows, and huts of meat. So Takemi praises
29:44the twins before packing everything away. Just as they're about to leave, the twins spot something
29:48beneath the water, and after confirming it's safe, they dive down to retrieve a large chest containing
29:53a mermaid bracelet similar to the ones they already wear, which Takemi suspects is quite valuable.
29:57From there, they use the teleporter, which sends them straight to Bailey City. With Rizner's letter of
30:01introduction to the local lord still in hand, Takemi decides to explore the city first. They come
30:06across a scallop stall, and Takemi buys a few, seasoning them with butter and soy sauce to create
30:11a dish so delicious that the vendor wants a taste himself. His enthusiastic reaction draws a crowd,
30:15and soon everyone wants the same flavor, forcing the shopkeeper to buy soy sauce from Takemi just to
30:20keep up. The scallops sell out almost instantly, and the grateful vendor asks to keep using the recipe
30:24going forward, something Takemi happily allows, though he makes clear the man will need to find his
30:29own soy sauce supply from now on, sending him dashing off in search of it. Next, they visit a
30:33blacksmith to have Kaiser's scale resized into something more portable. The moment the blacksmith
30:37examines it, he recognizes it as belonging to a legendary dragon, and he nearly pisses his pants,
30:42questioning what kind of person casually receives such a gift. Since drilling into the scale risks
30:46breaking it, he calls in his skilled lackey, Rudy, who is stunned by its worth, but quickly gets to
30:50work designing a pendant. Rudy insists gold won't do it justice and suggests a pricier alternative,
30:55which Takemi approves without hesitation. When told Mithril is needed for the frame,
30:59the blacksmith confirms they have some in stock, delighting Rudy further. For the chain,
31:03Rudy dreams of using Mithril's spider silk, but his boss dismisses that as impossibly rare,
31:07until Takemi casually reveals he already has some, a gift from Sil, leaving both men speechless.
31:12Takemi commissions three pendants, one for himself and one each for the twins,
31:16letting Elena request something cute, while Alan leaves the design up to Rudy. Takemi then asks
31:20about crafting armor using the evil serpent's hide, once again stunning the blacksmith,
31:24who can hardly believe someone so ugly holds such rare materials. After that, Takemi orders a
31:28chest piece, gloves, and an arm guard to protect against Bolt's talons, and Alan requests a matching
31:33guard so he can let Bolt perch on him too. Afterward, they head to the temple, where Takemi speaks with
31:38Sil through his statue, confirming he now knows the twins are the water god's children. Sil apologizes
31:42for not revealing it sooner, but Takemi brushes it off, instead asking who the twins' father actually
31:47is and why he's not yet back with the milk. Sil stays quiet about the whole matter, letting Takemi
31:51conclude that the truth is meant to remain top secret for now. Then Sil suddenly lights up and
31:56dramatically declares that Takemi is officially his disciple, as if this were some huge honor.
32:00Takemi, however, couldn't care less about the title and barely reacts. Sil rambles on, explaining that
32:05he had actually meant to pass along a gift from the fire god earlier. Delighted that the food Takemi
32:09introduced has been spreading to other regions, since cooking happens to fall squarely under the fire god's
32:14domain. Ready to wrap up the conversation and move on with his day, Takemi says his goodbyes and heads off
32:18with
32:19the twins to find somewhere to stay for the night. The second they're gone, Sil almost has a seizure,
32:23realizing in a panic that he still hasn't told Takemi the full, messy truth that the water god
32:27fathered Alan and Elena with a human woman, only to dump her the moment he found himself a hot new
32:32baby mama. Before Sil can spiral any further into guilt, the fire god cuts into his thoughts to casually
32:37mention that Takemi will soon be receiving a few contracted beasts of his own. The next day, Takemi and
32:41the group head down to the beach to unwind and keep practicing their water magic. Without any warning at all,
32:46a massive fire-breathing lion suddenly appears before them, looking every bit as intimidating
32:50as it sounds. Rather than panicking like a normal person might, Takemi calmly puts the pieces together
32:55and realizes this must be the promised contracted beast, and names him Vector on the spot. Vector
32:59turns out to be pretty chill for a giant fire lion, immediately shrinking himself down so the twins can
33:04play with him without getting scorched. And before long, the rest of the animal crew piles in to join the
33:08fun too. During a light-hearted game of fetch, Vector suddenly trots back, not with the ball,
33:12but with an unconscious woman dressed in a maid outfit hanging from his jaws. Startled,
33:17Takemi quickly confirms he had absolutely nothing to do with her current state, then uses his
33:21inspection skill to discover she's a vampire from the demon race. Since demons and humans coexist
33:25peacefully in this kingdom, he doesn't waste too much energy worrying about hostility once she
33:29eventually wakes up. Before he can even decide what to do with her, the twins have already started
33:33poking her curiously, and she stirs just enough to groan out that she's hungry as hell. Takemi pulls some
33:38food from his inventory and hands it over, and once she's eaten, she perks right up and becomes
33:42remarkably chatty, explaining that she's actually a spy on her way to the town of Albert. As it turns
33:47out, she forgot to pack any food for the journey, tried to push through anyway, and eventually collapsed
33:51from sheer exhaustion right there on the beach. She goes on to mention that her mission involved
33:55investigating a noble and his wife, and she discovered he had secretly been sheltering a
33:59commoner woman in his mansion, though nothing scandalous was actually happening between them,
34:02which means her entire spy mission turned out to be a complete waste of time. Before taking off,
34:06she hands Takemi a strange little bottle as thanks for the food, and when he asks what it's
34:11even for, she just smirks, offers zero explanation, and disappears. Left alone with the twins now,
34:16Takemi realizes they caught the word dad somewhere in that conversation, and are suddenly bursting
34:20with curiosity about what it actually means, not entirely sure how to tackle this one. He asks if
34:25they already know what a father is, hoping that since they've been casually calling him big brother
34:28this whole time, they might have some vague grasp of family terms already. They admit that they only
34:32started using that title because everyone in town had simply assumed it was true. They do,
34:37however, understand that they are brother and sister to one another, which at least gives Takemi a
34:41small foothold to work with. He attempts to walk them through the basic concept of parents and what
34:45a family actually is, but by the end of his little lecture, the only thing the twins genuinely take
34:49away from it is that being born sounds like a pretty exciting event. Satisfied with that conclusion,
34:53they immediately run off to go play with the animals again, leaving Takemi mentally exhausted.
34:57He's relieved they didn't press further and ask about their own parents specifically, though deep
35:01down he knows that particular question is bound to resurface eventually, probably at the worst
35:05possible time. The next day, the group heads over to the local guild to see what kind of quests
35:10might be available. The receptionist is absolutely floored to learn that Takemi holds a rank status,
35:14and the moment she also finds out about the hidden underwater labyrinth he discovered,
35:18she can't contain herself and ends up announcing it at full volume, drawing the attention of literally
35:22everyone in the guild despite Takemi's increasingly desperate attempts to keep things low-key.
35:26Moments later, the group finds themselves pulled into the guild master's office,
35:30where the receptionist gets thoroughly scolded for blabbing Takemi's private business to the
35:34entire building. Takemi shares a few details about the labyrinth and how exactly they managed to reach
35:38it, which leaves the guild master thoroughly puzzled about how they all supposedly held their
35:42breath underwater for that long, not wanting to open the can of worms that is the mermaid bracelet
35:46situation. Takemi simply claims he happens to have unusually strong lung capacity, and since he's
35:51already in a rank adventurer, the receptionist buys this flimsy excuse without asking a single
35:55follow-up question. Just as Takemi is hoping he might finally get some well-earned rest,
35:59he's informed that they'll need to meet with the regional lord first thing the next morning instead.
36:03So the following day, Takemi and the twins arrive at the estate and discover that Ristner is the
36:07younger brother of Lord Cedric of Bailey. The kids immediately point out loudly how similar Cedric
36:12looks to Ristner, and Cedric quietly reflects on just how long it's actually been since he last
36:16saw his brother, which makes him wonder whether getting kicked by children still turns him on.
36:19Cedric leads them into his spacious living room, where a servant heads off to prepare tea.
36:23The twins immediately notice a couple of kids peeking in shyly from just outside the room,
36:27which instantly catches their attention. Setting that aside for now, Takemi launches into an
36:31explanation of their adventure in the Sazanami Labyrinth and exactly how they stumbled onto it,
36:36hoping Cedric's investigation team can go check things out properly. Apparently,
36:39dungeons in this world are basically a goldmine, drawing in adventurers who hunt for rare loot,
36:44some of it food-related, which helps local businesses thrive, and any territory lucky enough to host one
36:48tends to see its whole economy flourish as a result. So naturally, Cedric and his staff are
36:53absolutely thrilled that a brand new dungeon has turned up on their land. As they sip their tea,
36:57Takemi gets that familiar, slightly unsettling feeling that Syl is watching him closely again.
37:02As always, he asks Cedric how the investigation team is progressing so far,
37:05and Cedric reports that things are moving along smoothly. Cedric then offers Takemi a reward for
37:10the discovery, but Takemi, preferring to keep a low profile, politely turns it down and asks Cedric
37:15not to publicly name whoever actually found the labyrinth. Cedric explains that he's still obligated to
37:19send a full report to the king regardless, and gently but firmly insists Takemi accept the honor
37:24anyway. After that, Cedric brings up his lingering frustration over how carelessly the guild staff
37:28had blabbed about Takemi's private information earlier, prompting his attendant to rush out of
37:32the room in an absolute panic, bowing frantically the whole way. Meanwhile, the twins mimic the
37:37attendant by solemnly bowing and apologizing to each other, clearly entertained by having watched one
37:41of the guild workers grovel so pathetically to avoid punishment. Takemi apologizes for taking so long
37:46to finally arrive at the mansion, and the twins simply explain that they'd stop to see the ocean
37:50first, an excuse so cute that it instantly melts whatever irritation Cedric had left in him. Soon
37:54after, they move on to lunch and get introduced to the rest of Cedric's family. The children
37:58spotted earlier turn out to be his two sons, Theodore and Ladis. Alan and Elena grow noticeably shy,
38:04having never really spent time around other children their own age before now. During the meal,
38:07Takemi finds himself genuinely surprised by how good the food actually tastes, especially
38:11considering the cooks apparently season everything with nothing but plain salt. Cedric
38:15mentions that his brother had written to him, gushing on and on about the new bread recipes
38:19Takemi introduced, some of which have already made their way over to Bailey. Not wanting to be outdone
38:23by his own sibling, Cedric offers Takemi a reward in exchange for the recipes behind the cream and red
38:29bean breads specifically. Theodore and Ladis are desperate to try them too, but since Takemi doesn't
38:33happen to have enough ingredients on hand, he decides to whip up some jelly instead as a substitute.
38:37Given that most people in this world have relatively simple, unrefined tastes when it comes to food,
38:42the children are absolutely thrilled at the idea and devour the jelly eagerly the moment it's set
38:46down in front of them. When Takemi casually mentions afterward that it was actually made
38:50using slime monsters, they hesitate for a brief, horrified second, but ultimately cannot deny just
38:55how much they enjoyed eating it anyway. Cedric, ever the businessman, even offers to buy the jelly
38:59recipe outright to sell in his shops, and seriously considers the idea of raising slimes specifically
39:04for that purpose going forward. The children then spend the rest of the day happily playing together,
39:08blissfully unaware of the slime-based horrors they just consumed. The next morning, Takemi and the
39:12twins find Cedric sitting quietly, reading a reply letter from his brother, who had written back after
39:17hearing all about the jelly incident. Watching the exchange play out, Takemi starts to realize that
39:21the brother often teases people in exactly the same way Cedric used to tease him back when they were
39:25kids. Meanwhile, over in the city of Shireen, the brother reads Cedric's letter in complete silence,
39:30quietly seething with envy that Takemi made jelly for Cedric's kids and not for him, and genuinely
39:34surprised to learn about the discovery of an entirely new labyrinth on top of that. Both
39:38brothers ultimately agree that Takemi is drawing way too much attention far too quickly, and that
39:42they'll need to figure out better ways to protect his identity moving forward before things spiral
39:46completely out of control. Afterward, Takemi, the twins, and a noticeably cheerful Cedric head out
39:51into town to explore the local market together. Cedric insists on showing them a particularly popular
39:56food stall, one known for its notoriously long lines. Along the way, the twins notice Cedric casually
40:00holding both his son's hands as they walk, and immediately turn to Takemi, demanding he do the
40:05exact same thing with them, no exceptions. When they finally reach the stall in question,
40:09it turns out to be the very same scallop stand that Takemi had accidentally made famous earlier
40:13with his soy sauce and butter combination. He patiently explains to a genuinely curious Cedric
40:17what soy sauce actually is and where it comes from, and the group continues wandering deeper into
40:21the bustling market. At another stall, the twins catch sight of some red bean paste and are
40:26immediately overcome with intense cravings for bread, a feeling that quickly spreads to Theodore and
40:30Ladys as well, who suddenly can't stop thinking about it either. But Takemi's attention gets pulled
40:34elsewhere entirely, locking onto a logo printed on one of the bags sitting at the stand, a symbol
40:38that matches exactly the one he'd previously seen on that sunken ship. A guy with an outdated bowl
40:43cut suddenly steps forward from the crowd and approaches Cedric. It turns out he is the true owner of the
40:48sunken ship, the very one Takemi had pulled from the ocean floor and stored away without a second
40:52thought. Without any hesitation, Takemi offers to simply give the ship back, expecting nothing in return.
40:57The man is completely stunned, since in this world it's finders keepers, so it's odd that a stranger
41:01would return something so valuable without asking for payment or a reward, wanting to see it for
41:06himself. They all walk out of the market and head toward the harbor. There, Takemi releases the ship
41:10from his inventory, letting it settle gently onto the water. The owner can barely find the words to thank
41:15him enough, and in his excitement, he insists on showing Takemi some of the goods he carries and sells.
41:19As Takemi looks over the merchandise, he notices several items that remind him strongly of things
41:24from his old world, even if they carry unfamiliar names here, including something very close to
41:28coffee beans. Curious, he also finds a selection of herbs and spices he had not seen before.
41:32Deciding they could be useful, he gathers a good amount to bring home. Once back at the mansion,
41:36Takemi decides to put the ingredients to use and teaches the household staff how to make curry from
41:41scratch. The rich smell soon spreads through the entire mansion, drawing curious eyes from every
41:45direction. Seeing how much interest it creates, Takemi decides to make a much larger batch so everyone can
41:50share in the meal. When it's finally ready, the whole household gathers to eat together, and the
41:54response is overwhelming. Cedric looks almost dazed afterward, clearly amazed by flavors he has never
41:58experienced before. Even the head cook cannot contain himself. Rushing out from the kitchen and
42:03says he's better than Gordon Ramsay himself, while begging Takemi to take him on as a personal student,
42:07Cedric steps in with a laugh, reminding everyone that Takemi is an adventurer, not a chef and has no
42:12plans to train anyone. Still, he admits that Takemi's skill in the kitchen is impressive enough that he
42:17might want to think about a different path someday. Takemi simply laughs the suggestion off, and though
42:21the cook makes one final attempt to change his mind, he eventually gives up for now. Later that day,
42:26Takemi and the twins settle into the living room, alongside Cedric's sons, Theodore and Ladys,
42:30who are eager to hear real stories of adventure. They beg Takemi to tell them about fighting dangerous
42:34monsters, and he agrees, recounting the battle against the powerful creatures deep in the Gaia forest.
42:39The boys listen with wide eyes, clearly viewing Takemi as an extraordinarily strong warrior,
42:43when he casually mentions that Alan and Elena are just as capable in battle. Theodore and act
42:47with pure excitement, amazed that children their own age could be so powerful. Alan and Elena,
42:52however, grow shy under the attention and quietly move closer to daddy to avoid the spotlight.
42:56The next morning, keeping a promise he made earlier to Cedric, Takemi takes all four children
43:00to the local bakery to help create some new kinds of bread. The group works together happily,
43:05flour scattering across the room as they laugh and experiment with different ingredients. By the
43:09end of their efforts, they manage to create a few unusual but genuinely tasty combinations,
43:13including a curry-flavored bread and a coffee-infused one. The baker is completely amazed by the results,
43:18unable to hide his excitement, and immediately asks Takemi to take him on as an apprentice as well.
43:22Everyone shares a good laugh at the request, and Takemi once again politely declines,
43:26though he is clearly touched by the enthusiasm. A few days later, our guy learns of a mountain located
43:31not far from the village and decides it would make for a good trip with the children. He calls out
43:35his animal companions to help everyone travel there safely. Vector is noticeably upset when Takemi
43:39chooses Feet and Jewel to carry the group instead of him, worried that his energy and size might make
43:44for an uncomfortable or risky ride for the kids. As the group begins climbing, the mountain path
43:48gradually narrows, forcing Takemi to ask Feet and Jewel to shrink down so they can move more easily
43:53along the trail. Vector, however, is simply too large to shrink any further and has to continue
43:57on his own. Without warning, a group of bandits leaps out from behind the trees, hoping to ambush the
44:01group and capture Alan and Elena to sell them off. What they fail to realize is that Vector is already
44:06pissed off, so he wastes no time unleashing his full strength against them. Within moments,
44:10the bandits are completely overwhelmed and left tied up against a nearby tree, unable to put up any real
44:15resistance. With the attackers subdued, Takemi and Vector begin questioning one of the captured men,
44:19hoping to learn more about their operation. Rattled by Vector's imposing presence up close,
44:23the bandit quickly folds and reveals the location of a hidden cave where they store their stolen goods.
44:28Following his directions, the group makes their way to the cave and discovers even more bandits
44:32waiting inside. Alan and Elena move in immediately, taking them down with ease,
44:35nearby. They also find a large treasure room filled with stolen valuables. As he often does,
44:40Takemi quickly gathers every item from the room and stores it safely in his inventory.
44:44Deeper inside the cave, they uncover a secret jail holding several captured women against their will,
44:48clearly meant to be sold like the twins almost were. The group turns their attention to freeing
44:52the captured women, making sure they are safe and cared for. Just as everything settles,
44:56something unexpected happens. Vector suddenly gains the ability to speak through telepathy,
45:00much like the others before him. Without wasting a single second, he leaps happily onto Takemi
45:04and immediately asks to be praised for everything he did to protect the group. The next day, Takemi and
45:09the twins visit the blacksmith to collect the finished pendants and armor. Everything looks
45:12excellent and to test the new arm guard, Takemi calls Bolt out from his shadow. Seeing the bird up
45:17close, the blacksmith and his son are shocked to realize it isn't an ordinary hawk, but a rare thunder
45:21hawk. As they walk back toward the mansion afterward, people along the streets stare in amazement at the
45:26children casually playing with such a powerful creature. Back home, Cedric asks Takemi whether he came across a
45:31silver-framed painting among the bandits' stolen treasure. Checking his inventory, Takemi confirms he
45:35did and realizes it's a painting of his old friend's favorite girl. Before the twins can get too curious
45:40about it, he quickly hands it over to Cedric to take away. Soon after, Takemi makes a short trip back
45:45to
45:45the underwater Azure Palace to request for more enchanted bracelets, so his animal companions can
45:49join them underwater as well. The mermaids agree without hesitation, and Takemi returns with the twins to
45:54continue exploring the dungeon they had paused earlier at the 10th floor. As they move through the quiet halls,
45:59the twins grow restless from the lack of action, but soon spot movement ahead and rush off, quickly
46:03defeating a pair of lizard-like monsters. They continue forward, taking down more monsters with
46:07ease and collecting several treasure chests before deciding to stop for the day. The next morning,
46:12as they descend further, the air grows noticeably colder, so Takemi has the twins put on small coats
46:16he had bought earlier. Shortly after, a large bear appears, which the twins defeat without much trouble,
46:21and it drops a valuable pelt. Thinking he could use the material to make proper winter coats for
46:25them, Takemi hopes to find another one along the way. Instead, they encounter a big-ass turtle that
46:30releases bubbles which explode on contact. Thinking quickly, Takemi absorbs the bubbles into his
46:34inventory before they can detonate, clearing the way for the twins to finish off the turtle safely.
46:38As they continue searching, the twins trigger several hidden traps, though they try to brush it off calmly
46:43when Takemi notices. To make progress easier, they let their animal companions help carry them and
46:47clear out monsters along the way. Eventually, they reach a large door leading out to a small,
46:51isolated island nearby. An enormous Kraken appears, and although Takemi and the twins try attacking
46:56directly, the creature simply regenerates each time it's struck. Feed quickly realizes the group needs
47:01to attack all at once to prevent it from healing, and the plan works perfectly. With the Kraken defeated,
47:06the area transforms into a hidden treasure room where Takemi finds a long sword. Unsure if he can wield
47:10it properly yet, he decides to keep it anyway. Once they return to the mansion, Theodore and Ladis are
47:15eager to hear all about the dungeon. But before the twins can begin telling their stories, Isaac arrives
47:19unexpectedly with Volt to visit Takemi. They all sit down together over tea, and Takemi learns the
47:24two have come to ask him to travel to the capital and speak with the king about the newly discovered
47:28dungeon. When Takemi asks the twins what they think, they agree right away without much thought
47:32behind it. Learning the trip is set to begin the very next day. Takemi realizes the twins haven't
47:36yet considered that this means saying goodbye to Theodore and Ladis, who quietly grow sad once they
47:40understand as well. Rather than addressing it directly, Takemi takes the children outside to play with
47:45the bubble collected from the dungeon, and Volt and Isaac join in, helping lighten the mood for the
47:49rest of the evening. After putting the children to bed that night, Takemi joins Volt for a quiet
47:53conversation. Volt mentions he expected the twins might refuse to let Takemi leave the room at all,
47:57prompting Takemi to reflect on how much they've grown used to trusting others, much like a real
48:01family would. When Cedric later asks whether Takemi and the twins are related by blood,
48:06Volt remarks that it hardly matters given how much care Takemi puts into raising them,
48:09a comment that leaves Takemi emotional. The next morning, as they prepare to leave,
48:13Alan and Elena begin crying, saying they want to stay and keep playing with Theodore and Ladis
48:17instead. Everyone assumes the trip may need to be cancelled, but Takemi calmly tells the twins
48:21they can stay behind and continue enjoying their time at the mansion. Surprised, everyone questions
48:26whether he's truly certain, and while clearly uneasy about the idea, he holds firm. When Elena and Alan
48:30run toward him in relief, the rest of his animal companions emerge as well, and they share a warm
48:35embrace. Takemi gently reminds the twins that they can still come along, but that they'll need to say
48:39a proper goodbye to Theodore and Ladis for now. After a brief, tearful farewell, Takemi and the
48:43twins set off on horseback toward the capital, excited for whatever adventure awaits them next.
