00:00Oh, wow. Oh, hell no. This is the blackface bagel that sparked some viral controversy in Harlem.
00:08The cartoon bagel was standing right here outside of Bo's bagels,
00:12but the shop owner tells the post Bo's was labeled racist after this TikTok was posted
00:17and it's since gone viral. The print crowd told me there was a blackface bagel outside.
00:22The sign's now gone, but people aren't done talking about it.
00:25I think it was very tone deaf. I won't be going there.
00:28Do you think it's offensive? No, this is a bagel. That's it. That's it.
00:33Well, Bo's is now getting absolutely toasted online with people pointing out the caricatures,
00:38gold grills, chain and exaggerated features. That poster is just crazy. It's idiotic.
00:44Would you go the lengths to call the bagel shop racist?
00:49I don't know because I wouldn't call them racist because I don't know.
00:52No, I would not call it offensive or racist. It's a black neighborhood.
00:56The cartoon was outside for a couple of months, according to neighbors,
00:59before this video was posted. Owner Andrew Martinez tells the post the backlash has gone
01:04far beyond criticism, claiming his staff has received threats and harassment.
