Just 100 light-years away sits TOI-700 d — the FIRST Earth-size planet in a habitable zone ever found by NASA's TESS telescope. 🌍 Announced in 2020 and confirmed by Spitzer, it orbits a quiet red dwarf star (just 40% the size of our Sun) in the constellation Dorado.

It's 20% larger than Earth, one year there lasts just 37 days, and it receives 86% of the energy Earth gets. Its star showed no flares in 11 months of watching — a calm home. And in 2023, scientists found a second Earth-size world right beside it: TOI-700 e.

Not confirmed habitable — but Earth-size, in the right zone, around a quiet star. Earth's twin, waiting to be explored.
