00:08I'm glad to receive two Seagrey Medals 2021, Mr. Bose and Mr. Bevan. Hi, welcome.
00:16Hello, hello. Starting with you Mr. Bose, what does this medal represent for you?
00:22Well, this is the highest award that Seagrey makes, so it's a big honor for me.
00:30And it is given for both technical contributions as well as contributions of service to Seagrey community.
00:40So I think that even says more than just one or the other. So I'm very, very honored to receive
00:49it.
00:50Where is it?
00:52It's on my desk back at home since I got it by mail in 2021.
01:00Mr. Bevan, what does Seagrey represent for you?
01:03And maybe you could share with us like a memorable moment to illustrate the importance of Seagrey for you.
01:11Thank you. Yes, I've been involved with Seagrey for over 20 years.
01:15Firstly, within Australia as Deputy Chairman and then Chairman of the Australian National Committee.
01:21And then in the early 2000s, I became involved in the steering committee representing Australia and then on the executive
01:29as international treasurer for four years from 2012.
01:33So it is really important for you to maintain this relationship with Seagrey and what is the importance of this
01:43medal for you?
01:44Yes, certainly. And my involvement with Seagrey has always been administrative.
01:48Even though I'm a power engineer by profession, my involvement has primarily been through administrative actions rather than technical actions.
01:57And the medal as indicated, it's the Seagrey, it's the highest honor and it is very, you know, very nice
02:05to be rewarded for efforts over many years, both in Australia and internationally.
02:09Yes. Yes. What does it feel to be back like physically for this new session? And what do you wish
02:18maybe for Seagrey for the future, Mr. Bo?
02:21Oh, it feels tremendous to be back. I've been doing this. My first Seagrey meeting in Paris was in 1988.
02:31So this would mean more than 30 years.
02:33And I've never, never missed the Paris meeting. And neither has my wife. So we are very, very, very, very
02:45glad to be back. But more than that, I've been associated with one particular study committee, the C2 study committee
02:56for power system operations.
02:58And these are all old friends. And so having not seen them for four years, this has been a homecoming
03:09in some ways.
03:11Same question. What does it feel to be back in Paris?
03:14It's great. This is actually my ninth trip to Paris for the session and previous to the session in 2018.
03:23And it's just great to be back and meet face to face.
03:27Well, Seagrey did a great job with the virtual sessions. I think there's nothing like being face to face and
03:32being able to catch up with people and go and have a meal and a beer and talk about lots
03:37of different things.
03:37So it's a very busy week. And I just love it. Thank you for coming by. Thank you. You're very
03:44welcome.
