00:00One thing I love about this era for you is that, like, you keep leveling up.
00:04Every era is a level up, but this one is interesting to me because it's also, like, so critically acclaimed.
00:09Yes.
00:09And I know that's important for an artist sometimes, so tell me how that felt to see, like, the reviews
00:13come in and people really appreciate it.
00:14Absolutely. I mean, I think I'd reached a point in my career where I'm not creating for the critical acclaim.
00:19I'm just creating based on what feels good to me and being really authentic and true to myself.
00:24And to make something that feels really authentic and, like, a little bit edgy and daring and maybe outside the
00:30box and then receive that critical acclaim was, like, very affirming for me and just, like, a really, really, really
00:36great feeling.
00:37And to be coming off of, like, so many viral hits, what was it about this project that felt different
00:41to you that makes it get this new appeal?
00:43I think my attitude was a bit different in creating this project.
00:47I felt like I was really owning the fact that I want to be and consider myself a pop star
00:54by naming the project Pop Star.
00:56I think I really kind of made a statement and, like, set the tone, and it's really been nice to
01:01see how the universe has really met me there.
01:03It's amazing.
01:04I like you naming the project Pop Star because I'm a pop star fan myself.
01:07Yes!
01:07I feel like the girlies are bringing back performance right now.
01:09Yes, absolutely.
01:09So if you said put together, perfect three-girlie tour that are serving pop star right now.
01:15Oh, my gosh, that's so hard.
01:17There's so many amazing girls right now.
01:19Okay, I'm going to say me, obviously.
01:22Pink Pantheress because she's just amazing.
01:25And Charlie XCX.
01:26Yeah, that's going to be a great tour.
