09:11Oui, j'ai normalement, mes legs lastent peut-être trois ans.
09:15Oui.
09:16Donc, vous ne devriez pas, dans les deux ans...
09:18Je ne veux pas que j'ai pas d'avoir dit qu'il n'y a pas d'une seule
09:19fois.
09:41seule,
09:41c'est un peu d'une seule, mais je n'ai pas d'une seule.
09:44Ça a couple of spares knocking about.
09:58seule.
09:581.3% d'une seule, n'est pas d'une seule, mais si vous êtes en train de trouver
10:01un growth spurt,
10:02vous n'avez pas d'une seule, oui ?
10:03Je n'ai pas d'une seule, c'est pas d'une seule, c'est pas d'une seule.
10:09So, look, how do we think Andy Burnham is doing?
10:12Actually, no, hang on, I am going to do one more thing, Josh.
10:14OK, just to make you feel at home.
10:17Discussing Andy Burnham,
10:18it's Josh Whittacombe and his partner, Alex Brooker.
10:31Do you know what, I liked it.
10:35Er, I think when someone takes a high-profile job in the public eye...
10:43Yeah.
10:44..you should be kind and not criticise them,
10:45because it takes people a while to get used to change.
10:47That's all right, Alex.
10:50LAUGHTER
10:52Do you not think, like, Burnham...
10:54..he's kind of gone under the radar?
10:56Very much so.
10:56A little bit, like, I feel like he's like...
10:58..you know, like...
10:59..that mate you have that comes in a night out
11:01that you never knew they were out?
11:03You know, he's like the designated driver,
11:05he gives off that energy.
11:06And, like, the next day you'll be like...
11:08..fucking there, was Andy Burnham out last night?
11:11LAUGHTER
11:11And your mates go, yeah, yeah, fuck it, he drove you home,
11:14you called him a prick because he was supporting the Man City owners.
11:16I was like, oh, shit!
11:17Yeah, I did, but we need that energy.
11:20I think from a Prime Minister,
11:21cos others wouldn't have been so good in a night out.
11:23Boris, he'd have got you kicked out.
11:25So, eh, David Cameron would have just been
11:27trying to convince everyone to leave the club.
11:29LAUGHTER
11:30Look, I think what's interesting,
11:32Andy Burnham hasn't done anything big and unpopular,
11:34you know, like, I don't know,
11:35cutting the winter fuel allowance for pensioners,
11:38but he's done little things that people do like,
11:40like giving free bus passes to disabled people.
11:43Yeah, I mean, you're excited about that,
11:45but don't you get them free now anyway, didn't you?
11:47You get free travel now?
11:49LAUGHTER
11:51What's that behind the sign?
11:52I didn't...
11:53LAUGHTER
11:55LAUGHTER
11:56APPLAUSE
12:01Look, even when scandal has arisen,
12:03Andy Burnham seems to have shaken it all off.
12:05Like, much like Keir Starmer,
12:07Burnham was accused of taking free tickets to events,
12:09but somehow he didn't cop the flack that Keir Starmer did.
12:12But it rhymed, didn't it?
12:14Free gear Keir.
12:15It rhymed.
12:16Like, if he start...
12:17If Andy Burnham starts getting shandies...
12:20LAUGHTER
12:20Yeah, right.
12:21What, free shandy Andy?
12:23Or...
12:23Or...
12:24Yeah.
12:25Free shandy Andy, yeah.
12:27Yeah.
12:28Yeah.
12:28Or if anything untoward happens with Lisa Nandy.
12:32LAUGHTER
12:34Look, one of the things Andy Burnham is accused of
12:36as taking free tickets to an Ed Sheeran concert.
12:38Although, to be honest, right now,
12:39that's probably not as embarrassing
12:40as paying for tickets to an Ed Sheeran concert.
12:43LAUGHTER
12:45APPLAUSE
12:49I mean, the worst thing for Andy Burnham was
12:50he only took him cos he's a huge fan of McLemore.
12:53LAUGHTER
12:54The Prime Minister also came under scrutiny
12:56for his ties to Man City Football Club,
12:58who had been found guilty of breaking financial rules.
13:00This is a weird one, though, cos, like,
13:02he was the Mayor of Manchester,
13:03so of course he was going to meet with the owners of the club.
13:06The problem is, he said he had one dinner with them,
13:08but it's now been claimed he had several dinners with them.
13:11On the same night?
13:12LAUGHTER
13:12No, I didn't think so.
13:13Spread out.
13:14I find it quite ironic,
13:15because, like,
13:16he became Prime Minister of that,
13:17wouldn't it, fairly as well?
13:19LAUGHTER
13:21Fellow Mancuni...
13:22Well, just how...
13:23Like, he can't remember
13:24how many dinners he had with shakes.
13:26Mm.
13:27If you said to me how many...
13:28I'd know exactly...
13:30Like, how many times is he going out with shakes
13:32that he can't remember
13:33how many times he's met them?
13:35Oh, some of them were at Shake Shack.
13:41APPLAUSE
13:44Fellow Mancunian Liam Gallagher
13:46summed up the mood of many
13:47Oh, yes.
13:47when he sent this outspoken tweet about the whole thing.
13:49He said,
13:50So what?
13:51He's hardly been sniffing coke off hooker's cocks.
13:54LAUGHTER
13:55Chill out, you soft...
13:56You know what? You can read the rest of that.
13:58You know what that says.
13:59LAUGHTER
14:00One thing apparently on Andy Burnham's agenda
14:02is strengthening our relationship with the EU.
14:05Now, there are even talks we might rejoin the European Union.
14:08Alex, you have some very strong views on this.
14:11Yeah, Brexit means Brexit, bloody get over it.
14:13No, I don't...
14:14LAUGHTER
14:14Don't clip it up!
14:16LAUGHTER
14:17Um, no, basically, I don't know if anyone...
14:19Like, if you've been into Europe, like, this summer...
14:22Yeah.
14:22They've introduced...
14:23Like, we've got to sort this out...
14:24Who are right? Where else did I get this tan?
14:26LAUGHTER
14:27They've introduced these new machines that you've got to go to now,
14:30when you go...
14:30Cos if you're a non-EU resident, like, to go through Europe.
14:33Yeah.
14:33So I got queued up for, like, 45 minutes in Madrid
14:35to go through to this, er... to this machine.
14:38Like, put in my details, and then it was like,
14:40now give you fingerprints.
14:41I was like, uh-oh.
14:42LAUGHTER
14:43But I was like, fuck, what do I do?
14:45So I was like, I can pass this.
14:46So, like, first of all, I was like,
14:48just give it, like, the Pac-Man on the slide.
14:51But then what I came up with,
14:52and I genuinely still cannot believe I thought this would work,
14:55I combined all my fingers.
14:58LAUGHTER
15:03The one superfinger?
15:04Yeah!
15:05You know, like...
15:06You know, like, when all the Power Rangers were joined together
15:09to make...
15:10LAUGHTER
15:10And, er, I thought that would fool it.
15:12Er, it didn't, and then I got taken into a room.
15:14But it is what it is.
15:15We've got to...
15:16LAUGHTER
15:16We've got to sort that out, genuinely.
15:18Well...
15:19There was fingers involved when you got taken into the room, wasn't there?
15:21LAUGHTER
15:22Until it is sorted out, I've made something for you.
15:24OK.
15:25I mean, there needs to be someone for the person with a disability
15:28who needs to have their fingerprints...
15:29So, I've made...
15:31I've made a travel hand for you.
15:33LAUGHTER
15:33Oh, look at that!
15:34Look at that!
15:35It's got the fingerprints on, but it's also got adapters on the back,
15:37so depending on what country you're in,
15:39you can put a different adapter on.
15:41Oh, that's nice.
15:41Oh, my gosh.
15:41So, there, you know, that's for you.
15:42Erm, I call it hand luggage.
15:45LAUGHTER
15:45LAUGHTER
15:46Right.
15:47Oh, my God!
15:49For the first time, I can't believe I'm going to say this.
15:52Alex, high five.
15:54LAUGHTER
15:55LAUGHTER
15:56LAUGHTER
16:00I'll tell you what, I might need that plastic shield.
16:03LAUGHTER
16:03Oh, no.
16:04Oh, no.
16:05Oh, that's a shock.
16:08It's so good.
16:09I can look shocked.
16:12LAUGHTER
16:12This is the best print ever.
16:14Thank you.
16:15And, look, I mentioned a YouGov poll earlier.
16:18Um...
16:19Have a look at the illustrative results, though,
16:21of the poll this week.
16:22Not only is Labor leading,
16:23the Conservatives are now second, reformer in third.
16:26And this might be because Kemi Badenoch
16:28has finally stopped trying to out-reform reform
16:30and recently gave a speech in which she said
16:33Englishness was about more than just where you were born.
16:36So, here's another sentence we've never said on the show before.
16:38Well said, Kemi Badenoch.
16:40LAUGHTER
16:42And reform are dragging each other so far to the right right now,
16:46the Conservatives have started to look attractive.
16:48Nigel Farage this week unveiled reform's immigration policy
16:51while standing in front of a giant inflatable rubber dinghy.
16:55It looks like a racist bouncy castle.
16:58LAUGHTER
17:00You know when you, like, order a kind of paddling pool
17:02off Amazon and you don't check the...
17:04LAUGHTER
17:05It looks like Darth Vader's sex dungeon.
17:10Nigel, I am your father.
17:12LAUGHTER
17:13But you can call me Daddy.
17:15LAUGHTER
17:16Actually, do you know what it really is?
17:18A shatter-maran.
17:20LAUGHTER
17:21This week reform were rocked by an undercover investigation
17:24from ITV that found some members of reform
17:27were using racist and inappropriate language.
17:30What?!
17:32LAUGHTER
17:39I can't believe...
17:41By the way, did you really need to go undercover to find that out?
17:44Oh, I know.
17:46Reform's response was like when one of your kids
17:48has got caught swearing at school
17:50and you know it's come from you.
17:52They were like,
17:53Oh, I don't know where they heard those words before.
17:56LAUGHTER
17:57Certainly didn't get it from me.
17:58Um, when asked how all of this reflected on Nigel Farage,
18:01Reform's Robert Jenrick uttered one of the funniest sentences
18:04ever said on television.
18:07He's someone who's probably done more than almost anybody else
18:10to stand against racism and the far-right.
18:14LAUGHTER
18:15I think you'll find that is...
18:18A turd the size of Disneyland Paris!
18:22APPLAUSE
18:29Do you know what's weird?
18:30The last time we saw you,
18:31it felt like the Greens reform and the Lib Dems
18:33were all serious challenges.
18:34Now, reform are down to third
18:36and Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey
18:38is facing a serious challenge from his MPs
18:41as leader of his own party.
18:42In fact, the only thing stopping him
18:44from facing a leadership challenge right now
18:45is that no-one can name another Lib Dem.
18:48LAUGHTER
18:49Meanwhile, Zach Polanski's leadership of the Greens is in question
18:52after he skipped a controversial vote
18:54in which his party declared that Zionism is racism.
18:57And to top it all off,
18:59the vegan icing on the ethically-sourced gluten-free cake,
19:03this cringeworthy video surfaced this week
19:05of Zach Polanski launching into song
19:07at a Lib Dem conference in 2015
19:09that shows not only can he hypnotise you
19:11to make your breasts bigger,
19:13he can also make a massive tit of himself.
19:15LAUGHTER
19:16OK, if the Lib Dems fight back,
19:18do you know what I'll do?
19:19Go on.
19:20I will eat my hat.
19:23LAUGHTER
19:28Listen, baby
19:30Ain't no mountain high
19:32Ain't no valley low
19:34Ain't no river wide enough, baby
19:37If you need me, call me
19:40No matter where you are
19:42No matter how far
19:44Don't worry, baby
19:45Just call my name
19:47I'll be there in a hurry
19:49No, you don't have to worry
19:51Cause, baby, there ain't no mountain high enough
19:56Ain't no valley low enough
20:00LAUGHTER
20:09That clip raises a lot of questions
20:11The main one being
20:12What's the opposite of imposter syndrome?
20:15LAUGHTER
20:16And what was going on with the choir?
20:19They were clapping on beats that didn't exist
20:21LAUGHTER
20:22Zach Polanski was like a drunk man
20:24Standing outside his house at 2am
20:26Cause there were a lot of keys in front of him
20:28But he couldn't quite find the right one
20:30LAUGHTER
20:32APPLAUSE
20:37And look, one consequence of having a new Prime Minister
20:39Is that we need to find a new look-alike
20:41And new for our show
20:42So if you know someone who looks like Andy Burnham
20:44And is free most Fridays
20:45Um
20:46Contact us on Instagram
20:48The hashtag
20:48Or with the hashtag
20:49Is it okay?

20:50Using the number 07956175908
20:53Uh, scan the QR code on the screen
20:55We'll sort through your nominations next week
20:57But it also means we have to say goodbye
20:59To our Keir Starmer look-alike
21:00So
21:01Would you please welcome back
21:02For the last time
21:03DJ Starmer
21:05APPLAUSE
21:07Oh
21:14Thank you
21:14Oh, I feel
21:17Oh
21:18Honestly, I'm wiping away a tear from my arm
21:20LAUGHTER
21:22After two years and 16 days
21:24You were actually one of our longest serving look-alikes
21:27LAUGHTER
21:27That was like 15 and a half Liz Trusses
21:30LAUGHTER
21:31How's it be?
21:32Have you been recognised in weird places?
21:34Bizarrely
21:35Holiday with Dominican Republic with the family
21:37In the sea
21:38Two people come up and go
21:39Oh, you're that guy from The Last Legs
21:41LAUGHTER
21:42Look, I'd say it's been emotional
21:44But
21:44You were playing Keir Starmer
21:46So there was no emotion involved
21:47But
21:48Fair enough, fair enough
21:48Um
21:49It is time to send you off
21:51Oh
21:51Thank you for your service
21:53To the show
21:53Thank you
21:53Like genuinely
21:54It's been a pleasure
21:54Thank you so much
21:56You know what?
21:57If he ever comes back
22:00Keir Starmer
22:01He's going to leave the studio now
22:03A licky boom boom down
22:05In time
22:08Oh
22:10It's so sad
22:12Wait a minute
22:13He just appeared from behind that wall
22:16LAUGHTER
22:17I don't think he's really gone
22:19Wait, that's not number 10 Downing Street at all
22:23Oh, come on, Josh
22:25You're done strictly
22:26You know what a set is
22:28LAUGHTER
22:29Let's welcome tonight's guest
22:31Yes, he's a musical comedian who wrote Groundhog Day and Matilda
22:34She's a comedian who hosts Strictly's It Takes Two
22:36Together they share a love of well presented hair and tastefully applied mascara
22:40Please welcome Tim Minchin and Ellie Taylor
22:44CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
22:52How are you doing?
23:04Just a little tip for next time
23:06You don't need to come through the door
23:07You can just go around the side
23:09Look Ellie
23:10Congratulations on your job hosting Strictly It Takes Two
23:13Thank you
23:14But you've also done Strictly
23:15So have you been through the whole fake tan thing?
23:17I have been
23:17I used to find it quite traumatic
23:18Cos you'd go in
23:20I'd go in with the other like some of the female dancers
23:22And you basically go in nude
23:24And there they're like bodies of gods
23:25And I'm there feeling like Hagrid with a hairnet on
23:28And then the worst point was when the lady said to me
23:30Doing the spray tan
23:31Do you mind if you can just lift up your boobs
23:34I can do the underneath?
23:36LAUGHTER
23:36Like it was a kid's flap book
23:38Like
23:39LAUGHTER
23:40Where's Scott?
23:43LAUGHTER
23:44You ever had a fake tan to me?
23:46Oh, yeah, yeah
23:47I mean most TV shows I've ever done
23:49I've been naked in
23:50And so they
23:51I've got skin like Josh's
23:52So they spray you up
23:53But now I just get them voluntarily
23:54Cos they make you feel good about yourself
23:56And you go in
23:57And there's usually a lady to apply it
24:00And you stand there
24:00And you put your little things on
24:01But you get given like
24:02One of the options is like paper g-string
24:05Yeah
24:05But they don't have a gentleman's paper g-string
24:07So you're basically trying to like
24:09Put
24:10LAUGHTER
24:10Trying to get your twiggin berries behind
24:13A sort of bit of gauze
24:14Made to cover up a contemporary Essex woman's
24:18LAUGHTER
24:19Yeah, it's quite hard to tuck it away
24:21LAUGHTER
24:22Oh my God, your boobs are going to be so bright
24:26LAUGHTER
24:27LAUGHTER
24:28LAUGHTER
24:29And so what do you make of Andy Burnham?
24:32New Prime Minister
24:32I like Andy Burnham
24:34I think he seems like a really nice guy
24:36The thing I'm most impressed with is his eyelashes
24:39They are so dark and so long
24:41He's like a Mancunian Disney princess
24:44LAUGHTER
24:44I think if politics doesn't work out
24:47Maybelline are going to be on the line
24:48LAUGHTER
24:49Lovely stuff
24:50And look, we are looking for an Andy Burnham look-alike
24:53So send us your look-alikes on Instagram, WhatsApp
24:55The numbers 07956175908
24:58Scan the QR code on the screen
24:59I'm hearing we've already got a nomination for our new impersonator
25:04OK, let's see the first nomination, please
25:07Because, baby
25:11You've got a better one
25:12LAUGHTER
25:15I mean...
25:16LAUGHTER
25:17LAUGHTER
25:20I mean, it's...
25:21No, no, no
25:22It might appear like that's just DJ Starmer dressed slightly differently
25:26LAUGHTER
25:27All right, we'll have more last legs for you after the break
25:30We'll ask who's going to bring about the end of the world first
25:32AI or Donald Trump
25:33We'll see you in a little bit
25:34CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
25:43CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
25:51Welcome back to Last Leg
25:52We're joined by Ellie Taylor and Tim Minchin
25:55Alex, avez-vous stolen the mirror leg?

30:54can you turn off the lights,
30:55mais only if that's OK with you.
30:56Would you like Tuesday off?
30:57Would you like a sandwich?
30:59I'd love you, thank you,
31:00because they all remember.
31:01Do you know what I mean?
31:02Yeah.
31:02Tim?
31:03I don't know how I feel about it.
31:05I mean, I just use it for super Google
31:07like a boomer,
31:08but, you know,
31:09I just use it for facts
31:10and once I did ask for a three-syllable word
31:14starting with C
31:15that rhymed with something,
31:16so I'm just admitting
31:17that I've used it in my work,
31:18but I just...
31:20I don't understand.
31:21Humans seem intent
31:22on conveniencing themselves
31:24into meaninglessness, you know?
31:25Like, we keep inventing things
31:27that take our purpose away from us.
31:29Like, it's like
31:30we care about not working
31:32more than anything else,
31:34so we've just evolved
31:35to, like, go,
31:36as long as I don't have to do anything,
31:37every cost is acceptable.
31:40Yeah, yeah, yeah.
31:40It's completely weird,
31:42and there's just, like,
31:43four or five really strange men
31:45in California
31:46who are doing this.
31:47They should all just go to jail
31:48as soon as their AIs
31:50do something illegal,
31:50they just should go to jail.
31:52Why not?
31:54Why not?
31:56And look,
31:59there are good and bad sides
32:00to AI this week.
32:01On the upside,
32:02a disabled peer
32:03by the name of
32:03Baroness Campbell of Surbiton
32:05gave the first speech
32:06in Parliament
32:07using an AI-cloned voice.
32:09On the other hand,
32:10a guy in America
32:11sent an AI avatar
32:13to an online job interview
32:14that was being conducted
32:16by an AI interviewer,
32:18and this is how it ended.
32:21I'll be right back.
32:22You guys talk.
32:23I have it locked in
32:24for Thursday, Victor.
32:25Thank you both for your time.
32:27Have a great day.
32:28It was a pleasure
32:29speaking with you, Pat.
32:30We appreciate your time,
32:31and we will see you on Thursday.
32:33Have a wonderful day.
32:34You too, Victor.
32:35Talk soon.
32:38Talk soon, Pat.
32:39Have a great one.
32:40You too, Victor.
32:41Bye for now.
32:43Bye for now.
32:45Pat, take care.
32:46Take care, Victor.
32:49You too, Pat.
32:50See you Thursday.
32:54That went for 10 minutes.
32:57That went for like 10 minutes.
32:58Yeah.
32:59I think my mum might be AI.
33:09I'll tell you now,
33:10there's more than a 10% chance
33:11she'll destroy humanity.
33:13Look, while we're talking about products
33:15that help people with disabilities,
33:17last year,
33:18we showed you an ad
33:19for accessible Apple products.
33:21There was a song involved
33:22called I'm Not Remarkable.
33:24We absolutely loved it,
33:25and if you missed it,
33:26here's a snippet
33:27of the amazing ad.
33:29Dear student,
33:30congratulations.
33:31You have been accepted
33:42starting route to Lecture Hall.
33:44I'm not remarkable.
33:47I'm just finding my way.
33:48Turn left.
33:49It's not a walk in the park,
33:51but baby,
33:51I got the grades.
33:53Don't want to be admired.
33:55I'm not your inspiration.
33:57If you want to be inspired,
33:59there's a library down the hall.
34:02There's a life out there
34:03that I refuse to miss.
34:06I'm only remarkable
34:07because everybody is.
34:15When we played that ad,
34:17we absolutely adored it.
34:19It recently won an Emmy Award,
34:21but here's the thing
34:21none of us knew about that ad.
34:23That song was written
34:24by Tim Minchin.
34:35How did you nail that
34:37so beautifully?
34:40I mean,
34:41I don't do ads as general.
34:43You might remember
34:43I did a Sydney Opera House thing
34:45a few years ago
34:46that won lots of awards,
34:47so I get asked a bit now
34:49and I'm not really...
34:50I don't want to do products,
34:52but I've been aware
34:54that Apple's accessibility attributes
34:58have been baked
34:59into their software
34:59since the 80s,
35:00since long before
35:01it became corporate responsibility.
35:03That is an...
35:04Say what you like about...
35:05You know,
35:05that is an amazing thing about Apple.
35:07So they asked me
35:07and they said,
35:09we've got this idea
35:09that we want to talk about
35:11how the way disability
35:12is spoken about,
35:13you know,
35:13we've been consulting
35:14and there's this condescension
35:16about specialness
35:17and I went,
35:19just give me a day
35:20because I...
35:20Because I...
35:21I don't know,
35:22following you
35:23and lots of our friends,
35:25Dylan Olcott
35:25and Stella Young especially
35:27and, you know,
35:28I've got disabled people
35:30living with a disability
35:31in my family
35:31and so I've got...
35:32I just knew that,
35:34particularly because Stella,
35:36an Australian woman,
35:37coined the term
35:38inspiration porn
35:39in this famous TED talk
35:41she did
35:41and she died very young
35:43and you knew Stella well,
35:44right?
35:44Yeah, yeah.
35:45And so I was very inspired by her
35:47and I just wrote that song
35:48in a day
35:48and said,
35:49what about this?
35:49And they went,
35:50oh,
35:50you've solved our problem.
35:52And then I got to meet
35:53these amazing kids
35:55and there's endless creatives
35:57who created that.
35:58It's absolutely remarkable
36:00and it was so touching
36:01and I get emotional
36:02when I think about it
36:03so congratulations.
36:11We will have more last week
36:12for you after the break.
36:14We've got a video call
36:15with one of the legends
36:15of rock, Alice Cooper.
36:17We'll see you in a little bit.
36:18See you soon, Alex.
36:33Welcome back to Last Legs.
36:35We're joined by Ellie Taylor
36:36and Tim Minchin.
36:36It's time now to welcome
36:37a video guest
36:38live from the Manchester Opera House
36:40where he's been doing an appearance
36:41to promote his new memoir.
36:43Please welcome
36:43one of the gods of rock,
36:44the man who sang
36:45School's Out and Poison,
36:46it's Alice Cooper.
36:55Alice, thank you for joining us.
36:56I've got the book here
36:57and I want to start
36:58with a quote from your book.
36:59It says,
36:59I'd go so far as to say
37:01I've been the most outrageously
37:03unreliable interviewee
37:04of all time.
37:05Now, I interviewed you
37:0730 years ago
37:08on radio in Australia.
37:09In fact, here's the photo
37:11of you and I together
37:11in the radio studio.
37:13You said at the time
37:15the best rock and roll song
37:16of all time was
37:17I Get Around by the Beach Boys.
37:19Were you shitting me
37:20or do you still believe that?
37:21No, I still believe that.
37:22Yeah.
37:23I mean, because it sort of
37:24picks up what every kid wants.
37:26They want to be in a car
37:27with their buddies
37:28on Saturday night.
37:30You know, they want to
37:30pick up chicks.
37:32In my teenage years,
37:34that was really
37:35what we wanted to do.
37:36We were not really looking
37:37for, you know,
37:39any drugs or anything.
37:40We were just,
37:41we don't want to hang out
37:42and be with your guys.
37:44I Get Around.
37:45The bad guys know us
37:47and they leave us alone.
37:48Come on.
37:48That's good.
37:50And look,
37:50there's so much about your life
37:51that I want to read about.
37:52But with the amount of,
37:54like, snakes
37:54you've used in your acts,
37:57I'm assuming there have been moments
37:58where it's gone horribly wrong
37:59on stage.
37:59Well, there was one time,
38:02well, we always named our snakes, too.
38:04We had Cobra Winfrey.
38:07We had Eva Marie Snake.
38:10We had Julius Squeezer.
38:13But we, I had one snake on stage
38:15and doing a show
38:16at the Blues Place in L.A.
38:20And I had the Sex Pistols there
38:22and Kiss were there
38:23to see the show.
38:24Now, the show was kind of like
38:26a carnival.
38:27So all my roadies
38:28were dressed like
38:29you know, like clowns.
38:31I get the snake up on stage
38:33and the audience starts laughing
38:36at the wrong place.
38:37And I'm wondering,
38:38what is going on?
38:39And then I smell it.
38:40It's defecating
38:41all the way down
38:43my old costume.
38:44Now, it's white
38:45and it's the worst smelling thing.
38:48Well, if you ate rats,
38:50it would, you know,
38:51it would be that.
38:52And so this thing
38:53has got cover,
38:54I'm covered in it
38:56and my roadies come out now
38:58as clowns
39:00and they're wiping it up
39:01and now it's so horrible
39:03that they start throwing up.
39:05So now I've got,
39:07I've got snake crap
39:09all over me.
39:10I've got clowns throwing up
39:13and the Sex Pistols go,
39:15greatest show I've ever seen.
39:19The most amazing show
39:21I have.
39:23And you know,
39:24and I told them,
39:24you know,
39:24I faked it.
39:25I said,
39:25well, you know,
39:26I know just where
39:27to touch the snake
39:27to make them do that
39:28every night.
39:30And now look,
39:31we've got Tim Minchin
39:32and Ellie Taylor here.
39:34Ellie's a comedian
39:34but on her website
39:35it describes her
39:36as comedian,
39:37actor and Stephen Tyler
39:38look-alike.
39:39Stephen Tyler,
39:40of course,
39:40lead singer of Aerosmith.
39:42Oh yeah.
39:43Yeah, I see it.
39:44I can see it.
39:45I can see it.
39:46But Tim Minchin
39:47has also been compared
39:48to Stephen Tyler.
39:49That's just not true
39:50at all.
39:52No, no, no.
39:53I've met Tim.
39:53Tim and I have met
39:54before.
39:55We certainly have.
39:55We're quite good friends.
39:57Tim is much,
39:57I think Tim is much more,
39:59I don't know,
40:00let me see,
40:02Angelian
40:03in sort of
40:04the X-Files.
40:06Take the beard away.
40:08Yeah.
40:09Okay.
40:10Sure.
40:11Okay.
40:11All my worlds
40:12are colliding.
40:14I did,
40:15I did
40:16Californication
40:17with X-Files star
40:18David Duchovny
40:19and Steve Jones
40:20from the Sex Pistols
40:20played my bodyguard.
40:22So,
40:22bam.
40:23Wow,
40:23there you go.
40:25It's a small world.
40:27Well,
40:28I was going to ask you
40:28to judge which one of them
40:29looks most like Stephen Tyler,
40:30but I think the answer
40:31is Ellie,
40:32right?
40:32Yeah.
40:33Oh,
40:33Ellie,
40:33yeah.
40:34Ellie wins that one,
40:35yeah.
40:35Okay,
40:35Ellie,
40:36as a prize,
40:37you get,
40:38you get a snake
40:39with a diaper.
40:40Oh!
40:41I'm sorry.
40:43What an honour.
40:45Oh,
40:45that's so nice.
40:46Could you tell me
40:47where you get snake diapers?
40:48Because I need them.
40:50Alice,
40:50thank you so much
40:51for joining us.
40:51Can't wait to read the book.
40:52Enjoy the rest of the tour.
40:54Alice Cooper.
40:55Good to see you later.
41:00We'll have more last week
41:01for you after the break.
41:02We'll wrap up
41:02the last seven days
41:03and Tim is going to
41:04close the show
41:04with a song
41:05from the musical
41:05Matilda.
41:06We'll see you
41:06in a little bit.
41:24We'll be right back to the last leg.
41:25We're joined by
41:26Ellie Taylor
41:27and Sid Minchin.
41:28And now,
41:29Matilda,
41:29the musical Matilda
41:30is celebrating
41:31its 15th anniversary
41:32this weekend.
41:33congratulations on that.
41:39And look,
41:40my kids have performed
41:41it at school.
41:42I know you've got
41:42a friend that performed.
41:43Yeah,
41:43my friend's little girl
41:45Mia was on the West End.
41:46Oh, really?
41:47I went to see her last year.
41:48I cried at a curtain call.
41:50Incredible.
41:50Oh, good, good.
41:50I'll try and make you cry again now.
41:52Yeah, OK.
41:53My snake!
41:55I'm assuming you get
41:55people sending you videos
41:56of their kids doing...
41:58Yeah, I've seen a lot
41:58of people's kids doing...
42:01It's always...
42:02It's a weird thing,
42:02Matilda,
42:03for me because
42:04I've been engaged
42:05with it for so long
42:06I get to talk about it
42:07all the time.
42:08I get videos
42:09and kids do mass choirs
42:11and I just...
42:11It's the one thing
42:12I never get sick of...
42:14People go,
42:14you must be sick of hearing it.
42:15I'm like,
42:15absolutely not.
42:16It brings me so much joy.
42:19It's just great.
42:20And you're going to do
42:20a song at the end of the...
42:21Which song are you going
42:22to do at the end of the day?
42:22Well, because it's
42:24a 15-year anniversary
42:24I'm going to do
42:26When I Grow Up
42:26which is the kind of
42:27one the kids sing
42:28when they finish

42:30Oh, my God's crying.
42:34We're going to send you

42:35for the performance
42:36if that's OK.

42:42an awkward moment

42:46to introduce her guests?
