Equal Weight, Opposite Charge

[Verse 1]
An electron wears a minus,
A positron wears a plus.
Equal mass across the mirror,
Different charge from what makes us.
Spin one-half for either partner,
No command to turn in reverse—
Handedness follows spin and motion,
Not which side of the universe.

[Verse 2]
Two ups, one down: a proton,
Their charges make plus one.
Two anti-ups, one anti-down,
And minus one is what becomes.
A neutron carries no net charge,
Its antipartner reads the same—
But underneath that quiet zero,
Different quarks compose the frame.

[Chorus]
Equal weight, opposite charge,
A different structure by the parts.
Positive cloud, negative core,
Bound by the force we knew before.
Zero charge when counted whole,
No hidden fire, no borrowed soul.
Each a system, each its own—
An antiatom, not a black hole.

[Verse 3]
One antiproton, one positron:
Antihydrogen takes its name.
Two and two within the nucleus,
Two outside: antihelium’s frame.
Three antiprotons, four antineutrons,
Three positrons would gather near—
Antilithium-seven’s blueprint,
Not a claim we’ve built it here.

[Bridge]
No tiny planets on their tracks,
Probability surrounds the core.
Light can change the state they hold,
One allowed step, then one more.
Cool the motion, shape the field,
Let a magnetic state remain—
Held away from walls of matter,
In a vacuum we sustain.

[Final Chorus]
Equal weight, opposite charge,
Until the partners meet at last.
Annihilation changes the cast;
Energy survives the flash.
Light and other particles
Can carry what the meeting frees—
Nothing slipping out of nature,
Only changing what we see.
