A Swiss bikepark session turns into a brutal lesson in timing as Alex heads to the Winti Line Jam at Powerbike Winterthur and lines up Switzerland’s biggest jumps. The run starts with warm-up laps on the small track, checking speed, learning the takeoff, and getting a feel for the tight landings before moving toward the massive gaps. With the wind picking up and the pressure rising, the goal is simple: build confidence, hit the big line, and see how far the session can go.

The atmosphere at the jam is intense and supportive, with riders sharing advice on speed, pedaling, and track flow. But one small mistake on a new jump changes everything, leading to a hard crash and a painful injury that later turns out to be internal bleeding from a bruised kidney. After more than two weeks of recovery, the update shifts into a real injury story, showing the slow return to riding, the caution needed after a serious hit, and the importance of getting checked out after a crash.

This is mountain bike jump progression, bikepark riding, and real-world MTB crash recovery from Switzerland, with a mix of session footage and honest injury update. It’s useful for fans of downhill biking, dirt jump sessions, bikepark reviews, MTB jump lines, and recovery stories from riders.

00:00i'm in switzerland for the winter line jam session it's cornflakes futures home spot
00:04grams are insane it's like 10 meter plus gaps with a bit of narrow landings it's a bit intimidating
00:10to be honest but yeah i'm gonna work my way up to the big lines and yeah get on my
00:15bike
00:24so luckily they have this racetrack here i'm gonna try to warm up on and then i'm gonna head up
00:30do the the small line work myself through that a couple of times and then hit the big jumps
00:51it'd be a very nice racetrack actually
01:26it feels like
01:29My bike is making noises like the fork is
01:36What do you think problem I think it's not here. Yeah, it's this one and this one
01:50Is anyone doing the small line
01:54Yeah, can I follow someone for speed?
01:57Yeah, sure. Cool. For the jumps you use cruise or do you pedal for it?
02:02For the first one I pedal
02:04Yeah, let's go
02:32Whoa
02:32Whoa
02:38Nice, cool. I
02:41Went so far for the second one
02:44Yeah, but it was good
02:46Yeah, yeah, yeah, I need to get some goggles. Oh
02:50Just dust in my thank you for showing me the speed
02:56So first impressions was very cool
02:58I just rode a bit of tractor in the beginning and also I think my fork is bent or I
03:04know it's bent since B-Rage
03:10Yes, I'm a bit scared of riding it but the people that know says that it shouldn't
03:17Brake more than it does or like it will just get a bit more worn out
03:21But yeah, I will ride the small line a couple of times to get into the speed and everything and
03:25then
03:26Yeah, the goal is to hit the big one today
04:05Okay, now I kind of got used to this part here of it. I want to ride it a couple
04:09of more times
04:10Before I go for the big one. I think it's like the scary thing is that it's so narrow there
04:15when you land
04:18After it
04:19Yeah, after that it looks pretty good
04:22Yo
04:57Now I got a pretty good flow maybe a couple more laps is to get used to the dirt
05:04I mean look at the size of these must be at least 10 meters
05:43Okay, I want to do some tricks through now and it's a bit windy so not lots of people riding
06:10Oh
06:11Now it's a bit windy
06:53Oh
06:54Okay, I think I'm ready for the big line
07:18Oh
07:19Oh
07:19Yeah
07:19Oh
07:25Okay
07:29Yeah
07:30Oh
07:31Okay
07:32Oh
07:33Okay
07:34You ready?
07:35Yep
07:35Hell yeah man
07:36Yeah
07:36Yeah
07:38Yeah
07:38Yeah
07:38Yeah
07:53Oh
07:54Fuck
07:56You good?
07:57Whoa
07:58Oh
07:59Fuck
07:59Fuck
07:59Fuck
08:09Yeah
08:10Yeah
08:10I kind of forget that this is an extreme sport and you need to be very cautious when trying new
08:15jumps and stuff
08:15But I was and I just did a small mistake of taking too little speed and pulling up too much
08:22It felt very good in the air somehow but then yeah I ended up casing and my yeah it hurts
08:28a bit now like in my lungs and stomach and stuff so I will chill and probably I need to
08:33come back here some other time and every time can't be perfect I guess and also good learning
08:38Yeah
08:48Now it has been two weeks since the crash and I'm already feeling so much better
08:52I'm very lucky that it was just a bruise and not any open tissue because the healing times are way
08:58different then it means that I can already be riding in a few weeks and I can pretty much already
09:04cruise on my bike which is very cool
09:06I need to take it very chill and be very cautious
09:09I mean the tissue has healed
09:11But if I crash on it it would be very sensitive so I need to play it safe for a
09:16bit
09:16Maybe in the end of October I can start to crash on it again and yeah it will be more
09:21healed and fully back to normal
09:23But one thing that striked me during this injury is that the biking community is so cool with supporting each
09:28other when people are getting injured
09:30I mean I got so many messages I also got to connect with a lot of people with injuries and
09:36Yeah it's something that I think we do very well that supporting each other on getting back on the bike
09:41Injuries can always happen no matter how safe you play it
09:44But in the end yeah we enjoy riding bikes and that's what we need to do
