Danger Lights (1930) stars Jean Arthur, Louis Wolheim and Robert Armstrong in a railroad drama of loyalty, romance and a desperate race against time. When a hard-driving railroad boss gives a drifting engineer a second chance, their friendship is tested by their feelings for the same woman.

Directed by George B. Seitz for RKO, the film captures the sights and sounds of steam railroading at the dawn of talking pictures. Location filming along the Milwaukee Road gives it a vivid record of railroad life in 1930. A separate experimental Natural Vision version helped make the production part of Hollywood’s early widescreen history; this presentation uses the surviving standard-format print.

This Where the Old Movies Go presentation begins with a 45-second branded sponsor message and film-facts introduction, followed by the full approximately 74-minute source feature with its period soundtrack—not the shortened television edit.
