The Most Dangerous Game (1932) follows shipwrecked hunter Bob Rainsford to a mysterious island ruled by Count Zaroff, where a dangerous pursuit turns hunter into hunted. Joel McCrea, Fay Wray and Leslie Banks star in this atmospheric pre-Code adventure thriller.
Directed by Irving Pichel and Ernest B. Schoedsack, the film is the first screen adaptation of Richard Connell’s classic short story. Its jungle sets were later used for King Kong (1933).
