00:00So I did a week in the studio with Eric and we had a great time.
00:04And at the end of which, his manager pulled me aside.
00:08He said, well, Eric's last tour, he said, he did it without a second guitar.
00:13You know, do you fancy going on the road with him?
00:16My first album was just about to come out.
00:20And I thought, well, yeah, no, I want to do this.
00:25So off I went on the road with Eric.
00:27Eric, and he fired the whole band at the end of that tour and I managed to survive.
00:33And like two years later, he fired another band and I survived that time too.
00:40So he liked having me around.
00:43Yeah.
00:43I thought it worked really well because we're so unalike.
00:47It seems like a lot of guys who play with him have always been blues players.
00:53You know, that's his job.
00:56Yeah.
00:56I'll do what I do and try and compliment him.
