00:00We did what a lot of bands did back then, you know, we rented a cottage in the country and
00:05we were there for a month or so rehearsing, writing songs, you know.
00:10Ray and Tony decided that they needed a good vehicle for me to be featured on guitar.
00:17So they pretty much came up with it.
00:20You know, I was doing all the guitar playing on it, so I got my name on it too.
00:24So that's where that came from and I'm still flogging it to death now, you know.
00:30It really became good to me when Ricky Skaggs called me one day, he said, hey, I've done that song
00:36of yours.
00:37I said, what song?
00:38He said, Country Boy.
00:39He said, we're going to do a video of it and I need your permission so I can do a
00:44video of it.
00:45I said, no, it's fine with me, go ahead.
00:48So he had a number one country record with it, you know, which introduced it to a lot more people.
