00:00Financial forensic analyst Alexander Cabrera tells the impeachment court Vice President
00:05Sarah Duterte's undeclared wealth tops 800 million pesos. Cabrera says, based on his review
00:12of voluminous financial records of Duterte and her husband, Man Scarpio, the couple has around
00:16870 million pesos in undisclosed assets and income from 2022 to 2025. The amount covers
00:24their undisclosed personal cash based on discrepancies between their audited financial
00:28statements and declarations in the Vice President's statements of assets, liabilities, and net
00:33worth. This also includes other undeclared personal and real properties and undeclared income of
00:39their companies based on mismatch between income tax returns and bank inflows.
00:52Cabrera explains Carpio's financial records were included in the analysis because they
00:57have absolute community of property as a married couple. The forensic report he produced also
01:02flags other behaviors in Duterte's financial records which he found suspicious, such as
01:06single large credit card purchases such as over 205,000 pesos for Ginza in Akaya and over 111,000
01:14pesos for Don Quixote in Japan, 17 insurance policies not declared by the Vice President in
01:19her salon, and a variation of check kiting. This variation refers to the act of moving funds in and
01:25out of an account through manager's checks so the amounts won't be included in year-end reports.
