00:01Hey, Grayson, look, I just wanted to- First title of defense tonight.
00:04It's gonna be a historic night, are you excited?
00:05Well, I am, it's just your match isn't gonna be against Mason.
00:08I just got off the phone with the doctor and he's out for the foreseeable future.
00:11Wow, I'm not surprised.
00:13All right, thanks, bro.
00:13You do wanna make history, right?
00:15So you're gonna have an NXT Championship Open Challenge and
00:18anyone from the NXT roster could accept.
00:21The entire NXT roster?
00:22Good luck, Grayson.
00:23Entire NXT roster.
00:25These lads ain't ready.
00:27They ain't ready.
00:28I can't wait.
00:30Thea though, back up.
00:32That is a big shot.
00:35We have just entered into the zone of destruction from Zarya,
00:41who now with one arm delivers a thunderous F5.
00:45Good night.
00:46One, two, three.
00:49Zarya retains.
00:53I'm gonna be the real version of Miles Boynton that never played.
00:59I don't have to sit here and listen to any of you anymore.
01:05But luckily, I know you're not deaf.
01:10So you can hear me real good when I say this.
01:15Go to hell.
01:21And whoa, Starboy.
01:27Take a look.
01:29Mini the Kingo taking flight.
01:32There's only two up.
01:34There's only two up.
01:35We're gonna go for it right here, big.
01:36Coming in, got caught.
01:38Maybe looking for a German Stax counter.
01:40Roll through, shoulders down.
01:41And another near fall, Stax able to kick out.
01:43Got no pressure there by Starboy Hall.
01:45Alexis King is sweating through his beard paint.
01:48There's a big kick in the Stax.
01:50Stax rocked for a half second.
01:53Moonsault, countered.
01:54Counter for a counter with a DDT.
01:56Mini the King goes legal.
01:57Mini the King going to the top.
01:59Mini the King goes.
02:02He got it.
02:06Bracket busted in the Dusty Cup.
02:10So are losers, look at his feet down.
02:12This is BS, this is disgusting.
02:16That's all it is, man.
02:19They should have got the hell out of here, quick.
02:23Man, we better get the hell out now.
02:25Unangry, a focused Zilla Fatu.
02:33Big shot.
02:34Fatu is cleaning up and taking out all of the members of Birthright.
02:40Looking for that triple Z.
02:43Stax ran interference for a moment.
02:45And Lexus King able to slither away, but there's no saving.
02:50Channing, Stax, Lawrence.
02:52Yeah, it ain't over, it ain't over.
02:56He's gonna keep time, baby.
02:59Yeah, here we go.
03:01And triple Z.
03:08Crazy look in the eyes of Zilla Fatu.
03:13Uh-huh.
03:15The women's division is gonna choose your next opponent because next week,
03:20there's gonna be a 20 woman battle royal.
03:23And the winner gets a shot at your
03:26NXT Women's Championship at Halloween Havoc.
03:31But hey, the battle royal isn't just gonna have NXT superstars.
03:36There's gonna be superstars from Raw, SmackDown, Triple A,
03:44Evolve, and even TNA Wrestling.
03:49So hey, you wanted someone to step up next week, let's, hey, hey, what a fucker.
03:56Oh, baby.
03:58Reyna Mokan.
03:59Yeah, the landscape has shifted, man.
04:03Right after that massive event of a 20 woman battle royal next week with six brands,
04:09the best of the best, the best of the best, this walking natural disaster.
04:14This is the force of nature.
04:16I'm in the battle royal.
04:20Just stuck and stank her claim.
04:23She doesn't care who you are, all she wants is that championship.
04:30Cutler getting a little overzealous, charged in, just got caught, tag was made.
04:34Nathan Frazier now, the legal superstar.
04:37Both these men just muscling up.
04:40Cutler, I don't know how they got him to the top and-
04:44Where are we gonna go from here then, Vic?
04:45What the hell is Axiom thinking?
04:47What are we gonna do here?
04:47No way.
04:48He's not even legal.
04:48No way, no way.
04:51He's looking for the Spanish slide from the top.
04:53Wow.
04:54And we've seen this in the past, here on NXT, that's how this duo won championships.
04:59Osiris wiped out, Frazier looking for the Phoenix Blast.
05:03Got out of it.
05:03Well, he certainly did, and Fraxia is moving to the next round.
05:09Here are your winners, Fraxia.
05:14Woo, what a match.
05:17So, Kendall, we left off with you thinking about who you are if you're not competing.
05:22Tell me, what have you been doing during recovery?
05:24What's your life look like outside the ring?
05:26What life?
05:27I mean, this is my life.
05:29I watch it 24-7.
05:30I rewatch my matches.
05:32I study every mistake.
05:34I train.
05:35I mean, well, at least I used to.
05:37Okay, but what about any hobbies?
05:39I've tried a couple.
05:41I tried playing guitar, but I broke the string like three times and nearly threw out the window.
05:45I've also tried to paint, but that only lasted like 10 minutes until I got bored.
05:51Oh, and I tried Duolingo to learn Spanish.
05:53Okay.
05:53Donde estas?
05:55Nope, I don't really know how to speak Spanish anyway.
05:57So, I think you understand why I only focus on wrestling.
06:01Okay, what about friendships or relationships?
06:05I mean, the PC is a little bit crazy.
06:08They do say it's, you know, like Love Island, but that's just not where my mind's at.
06:12I mean, ever since I was a young kid, I always told myself, in order to achieve abnormal goals, I
06:18can't really live a normal life.
06:19And, you know, I always sacrifice those type of things or hanging out with friends, and that's what I'm doing
06:24now.
06:24I'm just focusing on getting back in the ring.
06:26Look, that work ethic, it's commendable.
06:29It really is.
06:29But, is that lack of balance what makes you so good, or is it also maybe the thing that might
06:35be breaking you?
06:37I mean, I never really thought about it like that.
06:41My whole life, the answer was to work harder.
06:44If I wasn't good enough, train harder.
06:46If I lost, train harder.
06:49And if I was hurt, I mean, just keep going.
06:54And, that's what I'm doing.
06:55I mean, I don't, it's kind of scary because I don't know how to stop.
07:03I mean, my whole life, I've been trying to prove that I can handle more, I can do more.
07:06Right, but then what happens when you put in all this work, but working harder isn't enough?
07:15That's a good question.
07:18He had his chance.
07:20He decided that the Grayson Waller effect was a little bit too tough to handle, but that's okay.
07:26Because now, the men of NXT have their chance.
07:31They love tweeting.
07:33They love Instagram and TikToking.
07:35But instead of walking the walk, lads, tonight you got a chance to do something about it.
07:41So my question, ladies and gentlemen, who do you think is ready for Grayson Waller?
07:49Who do you think?
07:51It don't matter who it is, tonight I finish and still.
07:57But here we go, boys.
08:00Step up.
08:01First one in this ring gets a shot.
08:08Booker, who is it going to be?
08:10Who's gonna step up?
08:11Boys, just chill here for a second.
08:13Wait, wait, wait.
08:13Hey, no!
08:14No!
08:15No!
08:16No!
08:16No!
08:16No!
08:19Everyone from the locker room right now is trying to be the one that answers the bell!
08:23I'm gonna be on the scene, man, you gotta do quick!
08:27You gotta do quick!
08:28There's Honefield.
08:29There's Honefield.
08:30There's Honefield.
08:31I'm trying to punch.
08:32I'm trying to punch.
08:33I'm trying to punch.
08:33I'm gonna punch this shot.
08:38There's the Vandy Project.
08:40Here we go.
08:41Here we go.
08:42Here we go.
08:42Oh, yeah.
08:45Who's gonna be the one to go face to face and enter the ring first?
08:48And it could be Zilla, Fatou's here.
08:54Cruz Montana's here too.
08:58Let's go.
08:59What are we doing?
09:02Who's gonna get in the ring first?
09:04Who's gonna answer the bell?
09:06Why'd you do that?
09:08Montana trying.
09:10O'Keefe, Dark Snake.
09:14That's personal right there, Vic.
09:19Buck, Buck.
09:22Waller doesn't realize it.
09:24It's gonna be EK Prosper.
09:27Here we go.
09:28Prosper, Prosper answering.
09:32If Waller hits this, it's over.
09:36Prosper.
09:38EK able to get up, big kick out of the jaw of the champion.
09:44Waller right now is rocked.
09:46Waller.
09:46Baby.
09:47Waller is the one who is down.
09:49Leave it in the ring, son.
09:51Leave it in the ring.
09:55EK going for
09:57Waller.
09:58Broke.
09:59God.
10:00Come on.
10:03But one more time, with a little extra oomph, is Grayson Waller.
10:09And Waller survives tonight.
10:16Here is your winner, and still, the NXT Champion,
10:29I can't believe this, they don't want to see me win.
10:32They don't want to see me win.
10:34Burpright, you guys are the reason why I'm not standing here your new NXT Champion.
10:40So, next week, Lexis King, I'm gonna you up.
10:45I'm gonna you up.
10:50Good luck.
