00:08I want to know, first of all, you called it dangerous.
00:10Chief McDonald, you called it disappointing.
00:13What concerns you most about this video, and do you see this as an attack on LAPD?
00:19I think it was pretty clear.
00:21I do, but I also think it was incredibly irresponsible.
00:25It certainly showed that she is not ready for prime time.
00:29I even questioned if she understands what fascism is or its place in history.
00:36It was just beyond irresponsible thing to say, to target myself or the Chief and what that means for the
00:44rest of the department.
00:46We just spent our morning saving lives.
00:49That's what law enforcement does.
00:53And in combination and collaboration with the Mayor's office, I was following through on my commitment from day one to
01:02an end street homelessness and to make our city safe.
01:06It is very clear she has no clue as to what it will take to make our city safe.
01:12And so to record juvenile videos like that and to say, well, somebody just told me what to say and
01:20I just repeated what they had to say is, like I said a moment ago, evidence that one is not
01:26ready to lead the city.
01:27Do you think it sets a dangerous precedence for that video, a mayoral candidate, to have that out there?
01:34Well, absolutely, I do.
01:36I do.
01:37And again, your number one job as mayor is to keep the city safe.
01:43That video, and even if it was meant in jest, is irresponsible to even tease or make fun in that
01:54kind of way.
01:55That's not the responsibility or the behavior or the stature of the mayor of Los Angeles and certainly would never
02:02be the behavior that you would see exhibited by me.
