00:17in this new episode of our segment Venezuela on the move we learn how
00:23grassroots organizations are strengthening the engine of socio-productive
00:27development through the communes our correspondent Luis Tavera brings us the details
00:33sector of the densely populated antimano parish more than 10,000 residents
00:39demonstrate the community organization is synonymous with production and direct
00:43service welcome to our mission base where two communes thrive the luchadores del
00:50comandante supremo commune and the una sola fuerza commune welcome to this
00:54base I don't know the Sabaneta mission base when a rigorous social mapping and
00:59door-to-door inspections the commune ensures an immediate response to any
01:03situation here's the map of our commune this is where the people are we're
01:11looking for the mission socialista communal council we know it's in this
01:14area and here are all these people each identified by a number whenever these
01:18people face any situation we consult our map locate them and know where they live
01:23in the production sector a community-run textile workshop manufactures school
01:28uniforms at affordable prices creating local jobs and supplying nearby schools
01:37here we make school uniforms which are then delivered to schools in the
01:40surrounding area we have helped more than 10,000 children in the Caracas area
01:49solidarity that transcends following the twin earthquakes on June 24 the workshop
01:55donated pajamas to children staying in temporary camps that's a truly beautiful
02:02experience because even though people may not see us we're there giving it our all
02:08and doing our small part from the heart for the children of our country because
02:12they need it and providing 100% of our support in production at the same time
02:18the una sola fuerza commune is boosting the local economy through the artisanal
02:23production of soaps and cleaning products we have approximately three thousand eight
02:28ninety-one people in the one single force socialist commune that doesn't mean
02:32they all come to buy but we do sell both retail and wholesale our products are very
02:36high quality and handmade because we make them ourselves a working dynamic that
02:40strengthen social and institutional coordination in the community
02:44before we start talking about the communes let's talk about the fourth
02:50republic we were already neighbors we've been neighbors our whole lives we know
02:54each other but not with the same sense of purpose we have now as community
02:57representatives now we see our neighbors as friends and we have to try to
03:02solve their problems if a neighbor is sick we know we have to take them to the
03:06mission base where we have a clinic and that's where their prescriptions are
03:09filled if they need to be transported we transport them
03:14we've become more united since becoming a commune your problem is also ours we're
03:19always looking for ways to solve it in coordination with our authorities
03:23but the commune is the backbone of the revolution that's what our commander the
03:27eternal president Hugo Chavez Frias wanted he used to say commune or nothing
03:32more than 37,000 projects were proposed by organized popular power at the national
03:40level thanks to the wonderful experience that the popular consultations represent
03:47this was the strengthening we needed and the small part that belongs to us
03:51acting president Delcy Rodriguez is now following up and defining guidelines that
03:55make us feel empowered in these major projects conceived in 2010 under the
04:01vision of commander Hugo Chavez the communes reaffirmed their relevance
