Opposition MPs and INDIA bloc leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Mallikarjun Kharge, travelled in three buses towards Raj Ghat in New Delhi as part of their ongoing protest seeking the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Opposition lawmakers from both Houses, along with Congress youth workers and student groups, also marched from Connaught Place. Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force personnel deployed heavy security, with drones monitoring the route. Restrictions were imposed at Raj Ghat, barring slogans and sit-in protests. The demonstration marks the third consecutive day of opposition protests over electoral concerns.

00:23The buses have already arrived.
00:25You can see the police presence behind me.
00:28There's heavy police deployment that has already been done.
00:31The MPs have not yet got done off the bus.
00:34They will be getting down.
00:35Then they will be paying tribute at the Rajkhar.
00:38So far, there has been no surprise element that we've witnessed today from Rahul Gandhi that we've been seeing in
00:44the last two days.
00:46We'll be getting you all the updates from the ground.
00:49But before that, let's take a look at the headlines.

04:19As Anjali Pandey brings you that special broadcast there on the ground, I'm Pooja Shali telling you about what's latest
04:24happening.
04:24Opposition MPs have arrived at Rajghat after the luncheon meeting.
04:28They were allowed, at least in a smaller number, by the Delhi police to be able to land at Rajghat.
04:34No barricades, no confrontation, no stopping Rahul Gandhi, Priyanga Diwadran, Malikar Jinn Khadge.
04:41Opposition MPs are being led by Rahul Gandhi and the opposition is adamant that the Chief Election Commissioner resigns and
04:48now.
04:48They have realized that they have an opportunity at hand to step up ante against Modi.
04:53Government visuals on your screen, ladies and gentlemen.
04:55That is Rahul Gandhi, who's got down from the bus and with other opposition leaders after the luncheon at Moyets
05:01in Kunot Place.
05:02Unlike Sagar Ratna, last afternoon they have reached Rajghat.
05:06Let's listen in first to Rahul Gandhi and Malikar Jinn Khadge speaking.
05:47We will be brought to justice.
06:04This is our guarantee.
06:06You will see that these four people are brought to justice.
06:12Leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha, the TMC and Samajwadi party leaders
06:18joining the Congress as well.
06:19Amit Bhardwaj is at Rajghat.
06:21That is the destination of this agitation 2.0, so to say, for Rahul Gandhi with the CEC agitation.
06:28Amit, tell me more about the situation around you.
06:31Have the jammers been put in place?
06:33What are the numbers looking like around you?
06:46Amit, can you hear me?
06:47Yes, all three buses, Pooja, are stationed here.
06:52The leaders from the first bus in which Rahul Gandhi, Atleesh Shadha, Abhishek Banerjee, KC Binu Gopal,
07:00Rajiv Rai, all of these leaders were in the first bus.
07:05So leaders from that bus have started to get down towards Rajghat.
07:09But others, I can see, they are still inside their buses.
07:12The commotion would start in some time from now.
07:16The coordination team has been put into place for each of the bus.
07:19And as for the instructions, the MPs are making the move.
07:22But clearly, from Kanaat Place to Rajghat, no confrontation.
07:29In the past two days, we had seen as to how Rahul Gandhi, the India Bloc MPs,
07:35got into a confrontational mode with the Delhi police.
07:38The Delhi police are not allowing their movements in the team zone.
07:41The attempts to state a protest on dharma, you know, yesterday resulted into detention of these leaders.
07:50The Akashwani dharma was ended in detention of Rahul Gandhi.
07:55But today, the biggest question is, I don't see that, you know, we have come to a point where there
08:01would be no confrontations at all.
08:03Because it's already 5 p.m. now.
08:06The leaders are going inside.
08:07I just like whether Rahul Gandhi and India, just to cooperate.
08:15And I'm sure...
08:17On with me.
08:17These are the latest visuals on your screen.
08:19The buses have been allowed to reach Rajghat, which was the destination for this evening.
08:25Yesterday was election commission.
08:26They were not allowed.
08:28That is when it led to them squatting and on a dharma right outside the Akashwani Bhavan earlier as well.
08:34Then outside the election commission, because they were not allowed to enter into the building.
08:37This time, though, Rajghat is a location where the Delhi police has granted permission and that these opposition leaders can
08:44reach.
08:45That's where Rahul Gandhi, as you can see in the bus, he's got down now.
08:47These are visuals from earlier.
08:49Aishwarya Paliwal also walking through that stretch from the Knot Place restaurant now to Rajghat.
08:55Go ahead, Aishwarya.
08:56Where are they presently?
08:58And what is the strategy?
09:00They go inside.
09:01Are they going to be chanting hymns?
09:02Is there sloganeering?
09:04What do you understand there?
09:08All right.
09:09A little bit of a communication hurdle there on the ground, remember, because it's also a sensitive location.
09:15There could be possibly network issues at that point.
09:18Rajghat is the location where you can see that Congress Party realizing that it's a shortened arm for them,
09:25even though the BJP, the government, maintained that there is no reason for the CEC to resign.
09:33SIR is a valid exercise.
09:35Fake voters needed to go.
09:36A certain recheck had to be done.
09:39Congress Party believes that the reason this is happening is all manipulation.
09:43Anjali Pandey is also there on location.
09:45Anjali, where have you reached?
09:47You were tracking the bus and all the MPs.
09:49Where have they all reached presently?
09:51Over to you, Anjali.
09:59Right, Pooja, so we're standing just outside Rajghat.
10:03All the buses have arrived, although the MPs are still inside the bus.
10:06There's a lot of crowd that has gathered.
10:09There are youth Congress workers, NSEI workers staging protests over here as well.
10:13We've also seen how they are also raising slogans against the chief election commissioner.
10:18But Rahul, who's leading the protest, is still inside the bus.
10:21I think they're still discussing what needs to be done.
10:25They're making a strategizing what needs to be done over here.
10:28That remains to be seen.
10:30But heavy police deployment, as you can see behind me,
10:32and what we've also witnessed while we were on our way to Rajghat,
10:36there are a lot of buses that have also been parked just nearby.
10:40Those are police buses.
10:42So, detentions could also take place.
10:45The police are all geared up for any kind of circumstances that could arise,
10:50because we've been seeing the kind of situation that has been unfolding in the last two days.
10:56It's the third day of the protest.
10:58In the last two days, both the days, we've seen how Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Wadra were detained.
11:03So far, today, for a change, no detentions have happened.
11:07They started their journey from Cannot Place.
11:10They've reached Rajghat.
11:11There were no hurdles.
11:12Police did not stop them.
11:14There were no detentions.
11:15There was no chaos on the way,
11:17despite it being a long journey as compared to what we've witnessed in the last two days.
11:21It was a smooth one.
11:23Here we can see some of the buses which have been parked,
11:26in case the situation escalates and there is some detention
11:31that needs to be made.
11:34So, for that case, the buses have been parked,
11:36but heavy police deployment.
11:38You can see police officers.
11:40RAF has also been deployed.
11:42Behind me, you can see that bus.
11:44That is the bus in which Rahul Gandhi is seated,
11:47along with KC Venu Gopal, Malik Arjun Khadge also.
11:51Remember, Congress Chief Malik Arjun Khadge had hosted a lunch today as well,
11:55in which the leaders decided that they will be moving to Rajghat.
12:00And what is also different today is that there has been no surprise element so far.
12:05So, this is how Rahul Gandhi has been following this strategy of giving us surprises.
12:10Day before, yesterday on Tuesday, we saw in the mega opposition protest,
12:14how we were told that they will be marching towards the election commission.
12:17But suddenly, Rahul Gandhi chose to forcibly enter inside the Akashwani Bhavan.
12:22And then we saw how there was a dharna by the Congress leaders inside the Akashwani Bhavan complex.
12:28Yesterday, then, there was a lunch meet that was told to us.
12:31And after which, suddenly, Rahul Gandhi came out of Sagar Ratna and said that we will be moving towards Jantar
12:38Mantar,
12:39where we will be staging protests.
12:40Although no permission was given to stage a protest at Jantar Mantar,
12:43they were not even allowed to move to Jantar Mantar.
12:46And today, the cops were ready.
12:49They had anticipated that there is going to be protests.
12:52Scenes were a little different today because the protests had already begun,
12:56even before the leaders had arrived at Mohitz, where the lunch venue was.
13:03And so, the cops are all geared up.
13:06The number of cops are much more than what they were yesterday.
13:09They are ready for any kind of situation.
13:11In fact, what we also saw that the path, the route that they took today,
13:17yesterday, it was to Jantar Mantar, which was just 450 meters away from the Knaut place.
13:23So, there, the regular traffic was not there.
13:26But here, on our way to Rajghat, we saw how the regular traffic was also impacted.
13:32It's evening time.
13:32It's the peak hour in the national capital.
13:35And it's kind of a nightmare holding a street protest at this point.
13:41But now that we've reached, we've crossed the busy area in the national capital.
13:46So, that is not a problem now.
13:48Now, it remains to be seen, what are the leaders up to at Rajghat?
13:52Because the leaders arrived a long back.
13:54It's been approximately 15 to 20 minutes since the buses arrived at Rajghat.
13:59But the leaders are still seated inside the bus.
14:02They have not...
14:10Because Aishwara Paliwal also is on the location, Aishwara, where have you reached now?
14:15Because Rahul Gandhi, I want to understand, has he got down from the bus?
14:19Is he still inside?
14:20And what do you think is the strategy?
14:22Because government and election commission, like you also believe,
14:27and have been covering, that they have done nothing wrong.
14:30And the government says there is no way her exercise is going to be halted.
14:34The court also hasn't found a fault in it.
14:36Amit Bhardwaj is sending us this ground report.
15:06Coming in, so they've reached the Rajghat.
15:08But in the bus, TMC leaders, Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Divadra, Malik Arjun Khadge,
15:15there is Abhishek Banerjee there.
15:17We saw, of course, other senior members of parliament as well.
15:20Both from the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.
15:23A united opposition.
15:24A head of Uttar Pradesh elections.
15:26A head of other state assembly elections.
15:28To show that what happened in Bengal and Bihar was manipulation.
15:32They do not want EVMs anymore.
15:34They want to push and return to the ballot paper era.
15:38Have the SR exercise be halted and remove the CEC.
15:42Aishwara Paliwal now joining me.
15:44Aishwara, if you can hear me.
15:45What is the situation around you?
15:46Are they still in the bus?
15:54Well, you know, Pooja, you were also speaking about the fact that we have seen the protests
15:59go on for three days.
16:00But let me tell you what was very different today.
16:02There was a green corridor of sorts that was, in fact, being made by the opposition leaders.
16:06And because they were not marching, they were in the buses, the Delhi police had made sure,
16:11the traffic police, they were given very clear instructions that the entire route should be empty.
16:16In fact, let me tell you, the people who usually travel on those routes, they were given alternative routes.
16:20So you can say a green corridor of sorts all the way from cannot place till Raj Ghat.
16:25And we are standing at Raj Ghat.
16:27In fact, Rahul Gandhi and the other MPs are well on their way to get down from the bus.
16:31They will get down from the bus and then walk into Raj Ghat.
16:35There is a lot of police presence.
16:36But the police has made sure that there is no inflection point.
16:40The police has made sure that there should be no confrontation of sorts.
16:44Yes, the RAF, obviously, in large numbers is present, but that is just a precaution.
16:48What we saw yesterday and even the day before, what we saw was a confrontation that was taking place
16:54between the Gandhis and the Delhi police personnel at different points of time.
16:58That is something that the Delhi police at this moment wants to avoid,
17:01which is why you saw there was police presence, heavy police presence,
17:06especially very close to the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters.
17:08But apart from that, a green corridor was made so that the MPs could very easily reach Raj Ghat.
17:14They have reached Raj Ghat.
17:15And from here, we will see them once again speaking about the fact that vote surely has indeed happened.
17:21We are also seeing how MPs from Samajwadi Party, from TMC,
17:25showing a united front and saying that this is something that they are united on
17:29and this is something that they will not let go.
17:31But Pooja, still the bigger question remains, you need to bring in an impeachment motion
17:35with the signatures of all the MPs.
17:39And in Indian history, never ever has a chief election commissioner being impeached.
17:43So if it happens, this will be for the first time, but it's a long process.
17:47Is the opposition ready for that?
17:48Do they have those numbers?
17:50That is something that will...
17:51Thank you, Aishwarya, for just putting it in perspective,
17:54that the removal of CEC 1 isn't that simple and easy.
17:57There has to be a full protocol followed.
17:59But even before that, the court has already said there is no problem as much with the SIR.
18:04But stay on with me.
18:05The opposition believes this is the best issue they have right now against Modi government.
18:09Moshmi Singh is on the ground.
18:11Moshmi, over to you.
18:12Where are you?
18:12What do you see around you?
18:21So we are at Raj Ghat, Pooja, and I hope you can hear.
18:25We are at Raj Ghat, and here, you know, the entire cavalcade of Rahul Gandhi and the India
18:32Bloc leaders has reached.
18:35You are seeing those pictures that are rolling out from inside.
18:40It's been quite a stretch, you know, because we've seen that the buses were actually moving
18:47at a very, very slow speed.
18:50There was a lot of workers walking in front of the buses, walking beside the bus.
18:56But this has been the longest stretch in the past three days.
19:00Remember, the first one just was from the Parliament to Akashwani Bhavan, which is about 800 meters.
19:09And then yesterday, we saw a short stretch from CP, outer circle, to the Lee Meridian crossroad,
19:19where the entire team was, the opposition leaders were stopped, and we saw a lot of dharna happening.
19:26But that picture is not rolling out today.
19:28The police has allowed the entire cavalcade to come to Raj Ghat.
19:33Now, remember that from CP, outer circle, this is about a five kilometer stretch.
19:39I really need to understand one thing.
19:40You're also reporting from Raj Ghat.
19:42If they've been allowed, is Rahul Gandhi still in that bus?
19:46Why is he not getting out?
19:48Do they not have permission?
19:49Because the visual we are waiting for is them at the Raj Ghat.
19:52That is not happening.
20:00That's right.
20:00It's been quite a while, Pooja.
20:03What we've been given to understand that the buses are, I like, stationed outside.
20:10It's been quite a while.
20:12They have been circling outside, probably waiting for a point to enter inside.
20:19And any time from now, that could possibly happen.
20:24Because they would have not been allowed to come to...
20:26They've gone inside, Raj Ghat?
20:29They're just outside.
20:30So we're asking one of the police personals also, and he's saying that they're just outside.
20:35So I think they might be waiting for some permission, because this is a large group of people.
20:41And also, there are lots of workers, hundreds of them here.
20:45So that could be a security concern in terms of just opening the entire...
20:50We see the gates of the Raj Ghat.
20:52I think that's the CRPF that's been deployed.
20:54Of course, the Delhi police as well.
20:55Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka, the other is still in that bus.
20:58Mosmi, what is the strategy here of the Congress Party?
21:01The government has said there's nothing wrong with this.
21:03The court has said the same.
21:05There is very unlikelihood of the CEC resigning or being removed.
21:10Why do you think the Congress believes this is the best issue they have at hand...
21:14...for which they are indulging in street protest every day?
21:20Look at that visual.
21:21Moshmi, please stay on with me.
21:22Moshmi Singh, Anjali Pandey, Aishwarya Palewal, Ahmed Bhardwaj, all our colleagues on the ground.
21:27This is the front gate of the Raj Ghat.
21:30But for some strange reason for which we don't have a clarity yet...
21:33...Rahul Gandhi and others are still in that bus.
21:36It's the delegation of all the leaders.
21:38But there are some leaders who have been allowed to enter as well.
21:41So what is the lack of clarity, confusion?
21:44Why is Rahul Gandhi taking his time?
21:45But they are clearly there at Raj Ghat.
21:47The Congress Party believes this is the issue of CEC.
21:51I'm heading into a very short break.
21:53Stay tuned.
21:54Continuous coverage coming in from Raj Ghat.
22:01Live visuals from Raj Ghat.
22:03Rahul Gandhi has arrived at the location.
22:07After staying in the bus for a really long time and uncertainty about the protests...
22:12That's Priyanka Gandhi, Vajra.
22:14Rahul Gandhi.
22:15They are taking a round with regard to the Gandhi Memorial.
22:19That's where, of course, more of a protocol and that is the custom.
22:23You can see Malik Arjun Khadgi is well there.
22:26Leaders often, for a peaceful agitation as a symbolism, mark their visits to Raj Ghat.
22:33But we have seen a lot of leaders do that in the past.
22:37Rahul Gandhi.
22:38Now, with Priyanka Gandhi and other senior leaders.
22:40And not just of the Congress Party, ladies and gentlemen, but also of the India Block, the TMC and Smajwadi
22:47Party leaders also there.
22:48And look at how the protest has been allowed today compared to yesterday.
22:52No confrontation, all peacefully with, though barricading was done at certain locations, but Delhi Police Rapid Action Force accompanying them.
23:01They were allowed this peaceful protest.
23:04And the march from Connaught Place, Moets, after a samshus lunch, all of them this time arriving at Raj Ghat.
23:11Again, a lot of uncertainty surrounded the protest today.
23:16What will be the outcome of it?
23:18But Rahul Gandhi, as you can see, with other Congress leaders, are very clear that this is one agitation that
23:24they'll continue.
23:25And Sushant Mehra is there, also reporting for us.
23:28Sushant, what kind of protest march is happening now?
23:31What's his plan, plan of action?
23:34He's already reached, Raj Ghat.
23:35What do you think?
23:36Are you sitting here for a while?
23:37Are you still cooperating with this protest?
23:44What do you think?
24:11Rahul Gandhi, Raj Ghat anandar phunchan?
24:14Raj Matamak Gandhi kyi joo samadhi hai waha par, push, joha wu arpign karne ke liek pehunche tajy,
24:20leekin áj plish ki torf se eek a acha kaasa bandvas, paramilitary force, Delhi polis hoa tmame dhe khe ghe,
24:27today, the police and Congress of the leaders of Ghani's leadership
24:33has the full authority for all that he has.
24:37In fact, this is the
24:38foreign
25:25अगर आप देखेंगे तो दूर दूर तक आपको
25:38बसिस जो है वो नजर आएंगी

27:42So that's the latest, ladies and gentlemen.
27:45Rahul Gandhi at least managing to make way to this destination unlike the Election Commission previously
27:50or even when the Prime Minister's residence where he had launched a flash protest in July
27:54didn't really get to stand for very long
27:57and after a while he had to move from that location
28:00but here permitted by the Delhi Police
28:02only the police, also the police does not want any confrontation
28:05because yesterday it's been full of claim and counterclaim
28:09visuals, counter-visuals
28:10So Shanti, you've been reporting all these protests
28:13Yeh joo protest ya hapko lagta hai

30:04But the strategy of the protest
30:06Remains
30:07Which is against CEC
30:08Against SIR
30:09And even to return
30:10To the ballot paper era
30:11I bring in Anjali Pandey
30:13Now Anjali
30:14Tell us more about
30:15What is here
30:17As a plan of action
30:18For the congress party
30:19Do they
30:20Do you think that
30:21They are going to be here
30:22For a while
30:22How is the police responding
30:24And does this really help
30:26The congress party
30:27Because people are watching
30:28Either way
30:29And they want to decide
30:30If this protest by opposition
30:32Is the way to go
30:43Alright Anjali
30:44If you can hear me
30:44I will come back to you
30:45In just a short while as well
30:46Latest visuals on your screen
30:47So it appears
30:48Ladies and gentlemen
30:49Not everybody has been permitted
30:50It hasn't been a free for all
30:53Nevertheless
30:53The Delhi police
30:54Has at least let
30:55Some group of opposition leaders
30:57Enter
30:58Anjali if you can hear me
30:59Go ahead
31:12So you see most of the workers
31:14And supporters
31:14Have likely been told
31:16To stay outside
31:17But in the bus
31:18You saw the top leaders
31:19The members of parliament
31:19Of Lok Sabha
31:20And the Rajya Sabha
31:21Rahul Gandhi
31:22Of course leading this protest
31:23Abhishek Banerjee
31:24Of TMC
31:24Is there
31:25Samajwadi party leaders
31:26Are there
31:26Interestingly not
31:27Akhilesh Yadav
31:28He's in Ayodhya
31:29On a visit
31:30But he sent representatives
31:31So this is 2.0
31:33Protests continue
31:34Congress believes
31:36This is the big issue
31:37They will not let go of
31:38They want the SIR
31:39To be removed
31:40And CAC to go
31:41Will that happen?
31:42Who will budge first?
31:43All that and more
31:44On India today
31:45I'm heading into
31:46A very short break
31:46In wrapping up this bulletin
31:48Thank you very much
31:48From watching
